Is there any way to just create warnings instead of circuital errors for some services? I had the same problem with 9.10, and I thought the problem would go away when I upgraded to 10.4.   • Using Puppet, is it possible to define which plugins gets sync with a particular client?

    I have a plugin that gets pushed to all clients. However, I have one that's specific to a particular module, hence I don't want it synced with all my clients. My generic plugin is stored in /etc/puppet/modules/custom/lib/facter but I have a plugin stored inside a module that seems to be pushed to all clients regardless if the host inherits the class or not. I'm looking for something akin to the boot log you would get in Linux (with what is running at what times, how long it is running, etc). I am specifically interested in the what is happening after I get out of initial boot phase (AKA, the Windows XP logo goes away and I move to the generic blue background, and as I log in as a user onto the machine).

    The only devices on this particular LAN will all have public IP addresses. Also the public IP address will be configured directly on the machine,,, so we will not translate private/public IP addresses. If we use NAT,, we would have to translate the public IP on the WAN to the public IP on the LAN. The only security feature I expect on the gateway is an access list. I don't really know much about networking, so I am sorry if this question is generic.

This account is one of 2 generic accounts, one for students and one for Teachers on Call (TOC). The users are created, but I'm not deploying the server yet. When looking through Google, I came across setting the maximum password age, but not setting the minumum password age (I'd be happy with a 5 year password...)

    Getting the following error when attempting to install: Error attempting to create the destination file: C:\Windows Embedded Data\Repositories\{25C88912-9870-4686-97CE-8244C A1B0DAB}.CAB. I want to re-image the machine using a generic software image, but would like to keep the user data (including settings etc) that are on there ala Windows Easy Transfer. I can mount the hard disk on another machine - can I use Easy Transfer to transfer the user state of an account on the non-booted OS? Or do I need explore USMT?

    I've got some generic RAID controller built into my motherboard and I want to build either a RAID 5 or RAID 0+1 array. What are the disadvantages of running unmatched drives? Like 4 different brand 7200rpm 500gb drives? This would determine whether I look around for whatever used drives I could get my hands on vs. paying extra for a set of matched identical drives.

Second, if it's part of the browser, which sometimes the browser isn't open, it doesn't show me what page is requesting it. "Application" is very generic. Third what does that mean?     I need to know if it's possible on an exchange server to filter outgoing mail and override the from address in certain cases. We have to set up many exhange users who will only be able to access exchange through the outlook web access. All their outgoing e-mails when received from recipients outside our company should appear to be sent from a single generic address and not from the users' addresses.
