• Install .exe software application on remote machines.

  Hi, I modified this script from the net, which is suppose to install .exe applications for remote machines: $m = Read-Host "Enter machine name" $File = "c:\temp\office2007sp2-kb958194-fullfile-en-us.exe" $product = [WMICLASS]"\$m\ROOT\CIMV2:win32_Process" $product.Create($File) When I run this script, I have noticed that this program promptly creates a process in the remote machine with the application name office2007sp2-kb958194-fullfile-en-us.exe. This can be checked in the task manager also. But other than that, there is no way to find out if this is getting installed in the remote machine or not. Is there a way to find out, if the installation is really happening? Or does this script actually works? Any help will be great! Reagrds Arindam

  My setting: Apache 2.2 + Tomcat 6.0 @ Windows 2008 R2 64bit static webpages: / servlet: /foo tomcat and apache are connected by mod_jk 404.jsp is placed in tomcat\webapps\ROOT tomcat\conf\web.xml: <error-page> <error-code>404</error-code> <location>/404.jsp</location> </error-page> apache\conf\extra\httpd-ssl.conf: JkMount /foo/* worker1 JkMount /404.jsp worker1 When I open https://...../404.jsp my custom error page is displayed. But when I open https://...../foo/nonexisting.html an empty page is displayed. If I remove the <error-page>...</error-page> code from web.xml and open https://...../foo/nonexisting.html then tomcats own 404 is displayed. Any hints?

I checked my database.yml file .... the defined well development: adapter: mysql encoding: utf8 reconnect: false database: test_development username: root password: admin socket: /var/run/mysqld/mysqld.sock my installed mysql gem version is 2.8.1.... I really don't know what is the problem here....

  I have a MySQL table that represents data for a tree GUI component, here's the structure of my table: treeTable ( id INT NOT NULL PRIMARY KEY, parentId INT, name VARCHAR(255) ); parentId is a self-referencing foreign key. Now I want to write a stored procedure which gets a node id and returns a result set that contains that node and all of its parents. For example, suppose that my table has filled with this data: 1, null, 'root' 2, 1 , 'level_1' 3, 2 , 'level_2' Now I want to get all parent nodes of node 3 (nodes 1 and 2) and return a result set that contains all tree records.   Is RDF still used widely for content syndication? Specifically, I know only of Slashdot as a large scale website syndicating content in that format (say versus RSS). Understandably this might seem vague to answer so more specifically: Can anyone list any larger sites similar in scale to Amazon or CNN using it? Any web based publishing platforms (Wordpress, Joomla, etc...) that generate syndication feeds with this xml vocabulary. Any other more quantifiable evidence that it is used for syndication online. I understand that RDF may be a parent specification but in this case I'm talking about sites that syndicate content using <rdf as a root element and heavily leveraging elements from the RDF namespace: http://www.w3.org/1999/02/22-rdf-syntax-ns#

  I am trying to redirect /folder to / using .htaccess but all am I getting is the Apache HTTP Server Test Page. My root directory looks like this: / .htaccess -/folder -/folder2 -/folder3 My .htaccess looks like this: RewriteEngine On RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} !^/folder/ RewriteRule ^(.*)$ folder/$1 [L] What am I doing wrong? I checked my httpd.conf (I'm running Centos 5.3) and the mod_rewrite library is being loaded. As a side note, my server is not a www server, its simply a virtual machine so its hostname is centosvm. Addition: I have found that the mod_rewrite module is loaded, but none of my .htaccess redirects seem to be working.

• Include Files using Wildcard into a folder in Visual Studio

  I am using <ItemGroup> <EmbeddedResource Include="..\..\resources\hbm\*.hbm.xml" /> </ItemGroup> to include a bunch of xml files into my C# project. Works fine. But, I don't want them in the "root level" of my project, I would rather see them in a subfolder in my project. For example, this file is included into a Mapping folder in Visual Studio: <ItemGroup> <EmbeddedResource Include="Mapping\User.hbm.xml" /> </ItemGroup> That's what I want for my *.hbm.xml files. I can't figure out how to do it and still keep my wildcard *.hbm.xml part and also keep the actual files in a different directory. I've looked at MSDN's doc on MSBUILD and items, but no luck.

• setting source classpath in eclipse

  What do you guys do, when you have huge project built with ant for instance, where the source folders are right bellow the root project folder for building classpath from source files ? putting entire project as a source folder is nonsense. Putting separate folders as source folders can't be done if they are part of the package hierarchy and the only thing I could think of, is to copy the source folders into a separate folder and add it then as source folder which is weird but I don't know how else to do it. Having to duplicate sources just because of the eclipse way of making classpath and also because of somebody doing stupid project structure

• Finding height in Binary Search Tree

  Hey I was wondering if anybody could help me rework this method to find the height of a binary search tree. So far my code looks like this however the answer im getting is larger than the actual height by 1, but when I remove the +1 from my return statements its less than the actual height by 1? • Django : mysql : 1045, "Access denied for user

  I have the whole setup working for months on my local computer. I'm installing on a remote site now. Created a fresh mysql DB, and created a new user ("someuser") and gave it complete grants, like so - GRANT ALL PRIVILEGES ON . TO 'someuser'@'localhost' IDENTIFIED BY 'somepassword' WITH GRANT OPTION; I have sync'd the db, using "python manage.py syncdb" and the correct tables were created. My settings.py has this same user. But when I try to login a user through the application, and it hits the DB, I see the following in the logs - (1045, "Access denied for user 'someuser'@'localhost' (using password: YES)") I logged in through mysql (installed on the same box as django) and checked the grants and it correctly shows - Grants for djangouser@localhost GRANT ALL PRIVILEGES ON * . * TO 'someuser'@'localhost' IDENTIFIED BY PASSWORD '*thesaltedpasswordOverHere' WITH GRANT OPTION I don't want to use the root user/password for django, since it doesn't seem the correct way. Any pointers as to what might be wrong ?

• Avoid htaccess redirecting to one folder Yii

  I have a website running over Yii Framework, I created a folder in the root path named blog, I installed a wordpress blog under this folder, but the files .htaccess that comes with yii is trying to redirect my request to www.domain.com/blog to the controller/action type which I don't want, I want to treat the blog folder as a completely app with no relation to yii. here is what I've done so far Options +FollowSymLinks IndexIgnore */* RewriteEngine on RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} "/blog/" RewriteRule (.*) $1 [L] RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d RewriteRule . index.php as you can see I added the conditions to avoid redirecting for the blog folder but when I try to access the the url is telling me The page isn't redirecting properly.   Hi Guys, We have an SVN at http:/XX.XXX.XXX.XXX:1111/svn/AB/ - and the first two folders of the SVN are like http:/XX.XXX.XXX.XXX:1111/svn/AB/abc/filefolder/ The problem is we want to move the entire svn to get rid of /abc/filefolder/ - as the entire project sits under /abc/filefolder/ [created long ago and never bothered to change] (que stupid yes yes) How would we could about fixing this so we dont loose logs etc ? We dont want to have to export and create a new svn - since then we loose all our log files. But we want to "move" the svn root so for example it becomes From: http:/XX.XXX.XXX.XXX:1111/svn/AB/abc/filefolder/documents/ To: http:/XX.XXX.XXX.XXX:1111/svn/AB/documents/ Any help appreciated ?   Hello All, I am using Ubuntu + cakephp 1.3. I am trying the database migration with the help of cakeDC migration plugin. I configured the plugin as per the instructions. • c# Regex on XML string handler

  Hi guys. Trying to fiddle around with regex here, my first attempt. Im trying to extract some figures out of content from an XML tag. The content looks like this: www.blahblah.se/maps.aspx?isAlert=true&lat=51.958855252721&lon=-0.517657021473527 I need to extract the lat and long numerical vales out of each link. They will always be the same amount of characters, and the lon may or may not have a "-" sign. "djd7w4r1" read-1) JBREM000200: Remote connection failed: java.io.IOException: Received an invali d message length of -2140864253 Also disabled Remote authentication: -Dcom.sun.management.jmxremote -Dcom.sun.management.jmxremote.ssl=false -Dcom.sun.management.jmxremote.authenticate=false -Dcom.sun.management.jmxremote.port=12345 Still not able to connect. • Fetch main model and translations in one query with globalize2

  Is there a way to fetch the model and the translations in one query when using globalize2? For example, having a model called Language which have two fields, code and name of which the second is translatable I do the following: en = Language.find_by_code("en") and it runs this query: SELECT SQL_NO_CACHE * FROM `languages` WHERE (`languages`.`code` = 'en') LIMIT 1 and when I do: en.name it runs: SELECT SQL_NO_CACHE * FROM `language_translations` WHERE (`language_translations`.language_id = 123 AND (`language_translations`.`locale` IN ('en','root'))) and if I do it again it'll re-run the query. Is there a way to fetch all the translated data in the first query? I've tried: en = Language.find_by_code("en", :joins => "JOIN language_translations ON language_translations.language_id = languages.id") but it made no difference.
