  • How the simples GUI countdown is supposed to work?

    I am trying to write the simples GUI countdown. I found in Internet some code but it is already too fancy for me. I am trying to keep it as simple as possible. So, I just want to have a window saying "You have 10 second left". The number of second should decrease every second from 10 to 0. I wrote a code. And I think I am close to the working solution. But I still missing something. Could you pleas help me to find out what is wrong?     Normally a great boon to humanity, on occasion vim's indent-based folding will get confused and need a reset via :set foldmethod=indent. Symptoms include the appearance of consecutive folded lines in the window. Is there a way to avoid having this happen? Is it just me?

    I'm doing my first steps in MacRuby. Does anyone know how I can add a custom Toolbar to my Cocoa/MacRuby application, which will accept "regular" items for e.g. switching the view (see http://www.stevestreeting.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/06/SelectableToolbarDemo001.png). I've read some tutorials and I guess I have to create a custom delegate for the Toolbar and then connect it via the Outlets window, but how does the myCustomDelegate.rb have to look like?     Say i have a string that i need to evaluate in javascript such as : window.some_class.update( 'Runner', 'update_runner', '{"runner":{"id":"1","name":"Nin's Lad" } }'); In order for eval() to evaluate it, i need to escape the apostrophe in runner_name (Nin's Lad). Is this possable with regex? I dont want to escape the single quotes around Runner and update_runner. I'd just like to escape any single quotes inside double quotes. Thanks,

  • Has anyone got the vim taglist plugin working with Scala?

    I'm having trouble getting the taglist plugin working properly with Scala. I've installed the plugin and ctags and verified that it works properly with Java and C++. I then followed the instructions on this page (minus the Lift specific instructuions), but was nothing shows up in the taglist window when I open it while editing a Scala file. Has anyone got this working and what are the proper steps? Thanks.

    Hi everyone, Using Lightbox for a photo gallery and would like to initiate the function by clicking on the thumbnail's parent <li>rather than the thumbnail image.
