    Hi Folks, I have a scenario in which I have 2 Submit Buttons in a form for going back and forward. Both the buttons have different JavaScript associated with it. It is working great if we press these buttons to navigate. But when in Google Chrome, when someone press enter on any of the text box within the Form it does not calls the onClick of the button. Is there any work around for that. Thanks

    Hello, I have a form that is generated on a customer's website (lets say customer.com) with javascript that a user fills out and it sends to my site (app.com). I would like to be able to provide information to the customer such as how effective their AdWords campaign was and what search engines users used to end up filling out the form. I have started looking at the multiple domain linking option but I am not sure this is the right way. Is there a way to query what search engine and key words they used and pass this along with the form?

    I have two divs that I need to position horizontally dependent on the width of the user's screen. I've styled their vertical position in CSS, and I am trying to position them horizontally using Javascript.     Say you have the following css applied to a div tag .divtagABS { position: absolute; margin-left: auto; margin-right:auto; } the margin-left and margin-right does not take effect but if you have relative, it works fine i.e. ,divtagREL { position: relative; margin-left: auto; margin-right:auto; } why is that? i just want to center an element can someone explain why setting margins to auto in absolute position does not work?

    I'm interested in the way lala.com works. They have a header that remains fixed at the top of the browser and they have a flash music player in it. You can click on other links in the site and they are displayed below the header but the header is not disrupted and can continue playing music.   • this.select() and javascript events on forms

    I have a form box that I want to be always selected. I was able to get it to select everything in the box when it is clicked (using onFocus="this.select()") but I want it to be selected 100% of the time. The text in the box will be always changing, so I tried using onChange="this.select()" but that didn't work. Here's what I have: <form> <input type="text" id="txt1" size="30" maxlength="1" onkeyup="showHint(this.value)" onFocus="this.select()" onBlur="this.select()" onChange="this.select()" value="Click here, then press a key"/> </form> Basically I just tried to call everything in hopes that something would work, but it is still acting as if only onFocus="this.select()" is there. By the way, this is for controlling something via keyboard, which is why the maxlength is only 1. I want it to be always selected so that when new key are pressed, the last command will be changed without having to use backspace.

TL;DR - I need to echo within a loop if the item going through the loop exists within another array.

    The DOM looks like this: <table> <tr> <td>a</td>...<td>g</td> </tr> <tr> <td colspan="3"> <table> ... </table> </td> </tr> <tr> <td></td>...<td></td> </tr> </table> Any idea why this wouldn't work in IE? I tried setting width:auto on the TD holding the inner table, and table-layout:fixed isn't viable because the tabular data is generated dynamically. What could be going wrong?

    Does anyone know the reasoning behind the strict doctype not allowing input elements to be direct descendents of a form element. I find it annoying that i have to wrap a submit button which is a block level element inside another block level element say a fieldset or a div. However, I cannot find an answer anywhere as to why this actually is.

    I have this annoying problem driving me nuts, IE 8 randomly won't show background images of my divs. One minute it shows, then the next time it won't. Then I have to refresh the page 2-3 times for it to show. All my pages work fine on firefox, chrome. Has anyone faced a similar problem? Any solutions?

    Is there any way to modify the CSS properties of one table's cells based on the table's ids, rather than specific child ids? I would like to change one table's appearance (giving each cell a colored border, for instance) one way, and another table another way, but I'd like to avoid specifying an id for each cell. To be clear, I don't need to individually access each cell in the table - I just want to set all of the properties of "child" cells of various tables.
