  Below you will find my presentation slides and demo files for my SharePoint TechFest 2010 presentation on Exposing an MVC Application through SharePoint.  One of the points I forgot to mention goes back to the performance and licensing benefits of this approach.  If you have a SharePoint box that is completely slammed, you can put the MVC application on a separate web server and essentially offload the application processing to another server.  In terms of licensing, you can leave SharePoint off that new server and just access SharePoint data via web services from the box.  This makes it a lot cheaper if you have MOSS - but if you're just running WSS then it may not have as many cost benefits.  Remember, programming against the web services is not always the easiest thing, so you have to weight the cost/benefit ratio when making such a determination.

  The "initialization error: class file has wrong version" has become a somewhat recurrent error message thrown by JDeveloper 10.1.2.x as newer JDKs have been released in the last years. Note that JDeveloper 10.1.2 was developed to run with JDK 1.4.2. The reasons for this error message to be thrown include: A JDK version higher than 1.4.2 is being used and some unexpected incompatibility conflicts can occur because of that Some of the libraries used on the workspace and/or project were compiled with newer JDK version So, it is strongly recommended to use newer JDeveloper versions (10.1.3 - 11g) for newer JDKs. JDeveloper 10.1.2 will be desupported in December 2010 (or later depending on the support contract).   I've been developing for Android for about 2 years (and ~1 year for iOS), releasing freeware and open source applications (mostly because my AdSense account was disabled in 2010), but recently I had an idea for a great app that I wanted to get some money, since it would take some effort to develop and also I would like to test this "commercial" model to know if this could make me invest more time improving and making my apps better. Since my AdSense account was disabled and then I'll not be about to sell it on the Google Play Store, I thought about making it a donationware so I would distribute it for free (and probably open source too) and users that really liked the app and wanted to give me a thanks and a incentive to continue developing it could donate any amount of money. So, what's your experience with donationware? Is it worth compared to paid apps?

The thing is, I want to understand C# more formally and in depth and so would like to get some books on the subjects. Any books you'd recommend? Also, I've heard good things about "C# 4.0 in a Nutshell", "Pro C# 2010 and the .NET 4 Platform" and "CLR via C#". What do you think of these? (The people at stackoverflow told me to take it here.
