    Hello, I am trying to make a chatroom layout like the following: Now my problem is that I am not sure how to have the container box occupy the whole width and height (with valid doctype) and then make the center div grow if the window grows keeping the rest constant. i am well aware of js/css. so i just need some beginning guideline. i would like to avoid javascript to process and then set heights and widths.

  • Using JQuery to open a popup window and print

    Hello, A while back I created a lightbox plugin using jQuery that would load a url specified in a link into a lightbox. The code is really simple: $('.readmore').each(function(i){ $(this).popup(); }); and the link would look like this: <a class='readmore' href='view-details.php?Id=11'>TJ Kirchner</a> The plugin could also accept arguments for width, height, a different url, and more data to pass through. The problem I'm facing right now is printing the lightbox. I set it up so that the lightbox has a print button at the top of the box. That link would open up a new window and print that window. This is all being controlled by the lightbox plugin. Here's what that code looks like: $('.printBtn').bind('click',function() { var url = options.url + ( ( options.url.indexOf('?') < 0 && options.data != "" ) ? '?' : '&' ) + options.data; var thePopup = window.open( url, "Member Listing", "menubar=0,location=0,height=700,width=700" ); thePopup.print(); }); The problem is the script doesn't seem to be waiting until the window loads. It wants to print the moment the window appears. As a result, if I click "cancel" to the print dialog box, it'll popup again and again until the window loads. The first time I tried printing I got a blank page. That might be because the window didn't finish load. I need to find a way to alter the previous code block to wait until the window loads and then print. I feel like there should be an easy way to do this, but I haven't found it yet. Either that, or I need to find a better way to open a popup window and print from the lightbox script in the parent window, without alternating the webpage code in the popup window.

I tried this but it doesn't work. <TextBox AcceptsReturn="true" SpellCheck.IsEnabled="true" FontSize="12" BorderBrush="Blue" Height="100" Language="fr-fr" /> French is supposed to be one of the 4 supported languages for spellchecking in WPF so I don't understand why it doesn't work. I also tried fr-CA but it still won't work.

  • Secondary monitor bug: a problem in WPF or in the graphics driver?

    I have discovered a strange bug with my WPF application and I am trying to determine whether it is a problem with WPF or my graphics driver so that I can report it to the appropriate company. I have a Quadro FX 1700 with the latest drivers (197.54) on a Windows XP system, running a .NET 3.5 SP1 application. I have dual monitors, and when I maximize then minimize a child window of the main window on my primary monitor, the child window gets drawn on the secondary monitor as well. It appears in both places. I made a sample application (code is below) which induces this behavior. Start the application and ensure the main window is on your primary monitor. Double-click the main window. A green child window should appear. Click the green child window to maximize. Click the green child window to minimize. Can anyone else reproduce this problem? On my system the green child restores, but then it's drawn on both my primary and secondary monitors, rather than just the primary monitor.     Has anyone figured out a smart way to do query result transformation through a similar mechanism like specifying a ResultTransformer in Hibernate? All I can think of is transforming each result row after it has been returned by the Query. Is there any other way? For constructor projections (e.g. new DTO(arg1, arg2)) it can be defined in the JPQL query, at least for Hibernate, but how about other cases?

I would like to allow user to resize form in all directions except vertically.Moreover I would like to allow vertically resize in upward direction, but not downward. I have tried to use maximumsize by setting it to: Me.maximumsize = new size(0,me.height) I set width to 0 because I want to allow user to change form width. Unfortunately it doesn't work. Any ideas?

  • Cascading dropdownlist jQuery does not retain value on post back.

    I have two html select server control on an add data form page. the user selects a value in the first html select server control and then values are populated into the second html select server control with jquery. The problem is when a a user clicks the save button and the page posts back, the values are no longer in the drop down list populated by jQuery. The drop downlist is a html server control, shouldn't it retain the values on post-back? When attempting to insert a streamed file and after I create the table row, my query to read the filepath out and the buffer returns a null file path. I can't seem to figure out why though.
