  • Nutch search always returns 0 results

    I have set up nutch 1.0 on a cluster. It has been setup and has successfully crawled, I copied the crawl directory using the dfs -copyToLocal and set the value of searcher.dir in the nutch-site.xml file located in the tomcat directory to point to that directory. Still when I try to search I receive 0 results. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • How can I build a voting system to support multiple types of objects to vote on?

    I'm really looking for something very similar to the way SO is setup where a few different kinds of things can be voted on (questions AND answers). What kind of DB schema, generally, could I use to support voting on many different kinds of objects? Would I have a single Vote table that would have references to other objects in the database? Or do I have to have or should have a separate vote table for each of the objects I would like to vote on.

  • How to get code coverage when testing Silverlight

    I'm looking for code coverage solution which works with silverligt. It must also work with msbuild because we run all the other unit tests automatically in the build server. Integration with Visual Studio and/or resharper is a plus and I have nothing against easy setup or a pointer to a tutorial. I don't usually modify the build files and unfortunately I don't have time to learn msbuild at the moment.

  • No IO exception reported for socket operation when the interface is removed

    The wifi network is connected, the application setup a socket connection and exchange data with the remote server. But when turn off the wifi, the inteface is removed, while socket operation read/write on this socket is still like normal, no any IO exception reported. The application has to do some extra checking to avoid waiting for the data forever. Is this the normal case for Android design? Is there any plan to fix it?

  • I wrote a new X11 keyboard layout file, how do I get my system to recognize it?

    I like to configure my keys my way, so I wrote a keyboard symbols file and I put it in /usr/share/X11/xkb/symbols/cat I use it by running setxkbmap cat -variant dvorak (and it works), but it doesn't show up in the console configuration (dpkg-reconfigure console-setup) nor in the Gnome keyboard settings... nor anywhere else, so I have to run setxkbmap every time. I suppose that I have to register it somewhere, but where? Any hints? Thanks!

I can setup coordinates via Telnet, but that means starting up a console and manually configuring the emulator before running my junit tests. Are there some projects with downloadable Sphinx docs? I would like to see how they've customized their look. update: Adding a logo is supported in the default setup, just not particularly well documented. Look in conf.py for the *_logo settings.`

    In Android developers I've seen that testPreconditions() method is supposed to be launch before all tests. But in my app test, it's acting like a normal test. It does not run before all tests. Is there something wrong ? Here is the description about testPreconditions() from android developer : "A preconditions test checks the initial application conditions prior to executing other tests. It's similar to setUp(), but with less overhead, since it only runs once."

  • Java embedded applet page security, how to properly meet its recquirements?

    If I have an applet embedded in a webpage and I want it to connect to server side software (also written in Java) how can I do this properly on a windows machine running local host? Would I have to run the java application from within the localhost directory and access the applet html from a browser (i.e. localhost/applet.html)? From what I undestand if you don't have everything setup correctly you won't be able to connect because of Java's security requirements. Thanks for any help :)

But this code doesn't let me set a phone number to dial after i setup the port and before I transfer the file. Is there any way of sharing the port with another application that dials the phone number?

  • Permanent file changes on iPhone simulator

    I'm in trouble with paths, relative paths, NSBundle and all the path/file related operations :) While i run the simulator everthing goes right but all the file changes are not permanent, so everytime i run my app i have to repeat the initial setup of my app. The question: What is the proper way to read and write files (from resource dir) and make all the file changes permanent (updated into the project folder) ? With my setup, it is going to be most beneficial for me to move everything into a common subfolder, leaving the index.php of the Cake app in the root. I.e: /www/ | +--index.php | | +-- resources | +-- js/ | | | +-- xyz.js | +-- css/ | | | +--xyz.css | +---etc..... What is my .htaccess going to look like? Thanks!

    Hi!, I have setup svnserve server (1.6.5,plain, without apache) on Fedora. I start the svnserve with the command 'svnserve -d --foreground --listen-port=3690 -r /usr/local/svn-repos/proj-test' When user trying to checkout working copy from the local machine with command 'svn checkout svn://127.0.0.1/proj-test' gets following error svn: URL 'svn://127.0.0.1/proj-test' doesn't exists but, 'svn checkout svn://localhost/proj-test' works. I am curious to know why using 127.0.0.1 with svn:// fails? Thanks. Banani
