  • iphone - UITapGestureRecognizer problem

    I have two UIImageViews one as subview of the other. The subview is smaller and is centered on the screen. Both have UITapGestureRecognizer assigned and both were intended to respond to single taps. A single tap on the main view (= the area outside the subview) is fine, but a tap inside the subview is seen as the main view as a tap too. How can I have this to work independently? both views have setCancelsTouchesInView and setDelaysTouchesEnded set to NO and both have the same delegate (yes, I need to have the same delegate and cannot change that). How may I force the main view to ignore any tap on the area that belongs to its subview? thanks for any help.

  • Multiple markers in Googe Maps API v3 that link to different pages when clicked

    I have a map with multiple markers, which I populate via an array. Each marker is clickable and should take the user to a different url per marker. The problem is that all the markers, while displaying the correct title, all use the url of the last entry in the array.     Hi My component is responsible for downloading files from the server. As part of file validation I have used CAPICOM (SignedCode object) to validate if a certificate contains a specific string and call to Validate method of the SignedCode object. In case the file contains certificate without a requested string in the name, user was prompted if he trust this file. Since CAPICOM going to be deprecated by Microsoft, I need to implement these logic using .NET libraries. How I can get the same functionality using .NET libraries? Is there any example on the web?     Nevrona Designs' Rave Reports is a Report Engine for use by Embarcadero's Delphi IDE. This is what I call the Rave Endless Loop bug. In Rave Reports version 6.5.0 (VCL10) that comes bundled with Delphi 2006, there is a nortorious bug that plagues many Rave report developers. If you have a non-empty dataset, and the data rows for this dataset fit exactly into a page (that is to say there are zero widow rows), then upon PrintPreview, Rave will get stuck in an infinite loop generating pages. This problem has been previously reported in this newsgroup under the following headings: "error: generating infinite pages"; Hugo Hiram 20/9/2006 8:44PM "Rave loop bug.     I have created an app, and now i want to post a message on one of my friends wall with use of the new Graph API. Is this do-able? I am already using oAuth and the Graph-api to get a list of all my friends. The API at http://developers.facebook.com/docs/api tells me to cURL https://graph.facebook.com/[userid]/feed to read the feed, but it also tells me howto post a message: curl -F 'access_token=[...]' -F 'message=Hello, Arjun. I like this new API.' https://graph.facebook.com/arjun/feed Ofcourse this doesn't work! And I can't find out why..     Mostly it happens if we open a team project from tfs 2008 or tfs 2010, but crashes can happen any time. When VS is closing down, it crashes nearly every time. Tried trial RTM and our MSDN download - same story. Tried on three different PCs - same issue. Tried on 32 and 64-bit Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 - crashes. Is it just our luck or does it happen to you to?

  • Problems with Google Maps API v3 + jQuery UI Tabs

    There are a number of problems, which seem to be fairly well-known, when using the Google Maps API to render a map within a jQuery UI tab. I've seen SO questions posted about similar issues (here and here, for example) but the solutions there only seem to work for v2 of the Maps API. Other references I checked out are here and here, along with pretty much everything I could dig up through Googling. I've been trying to stuff a map (using v3 of the API) into a jQuery tab with mixed results. I'm using the latest versions of everything (currently jQuery 1.3.2, jQuery UI 1.7.2, don't know about Maps). In fact, the best-functioning code uses the CSS .ui-tabs .ui-tabs-hide { display: none; } instead. The only way to get a map to display in a tab at all is to set the CSS width and height of #map_canvas to be absolute values. Changing the width and height to auto or 100% causes the map to not display at all, even if it's already been successfully rendered (using absolute width and height). I couldn't find it documented anywhere outside of the Maps API, but map.checkResize() won't work anymore. Instead, you have to fire a resize event by calling google.maps.event.trigger(map, 'resize'). If the map is not initialized inside of a function bound to a tabsshow event, the map itself is rendered correctly but the controls are not - most are just plain missing. So, here are my questions: Does anyone else have experience accomplishing this same feat? If so, how did you figure out what would actually work, since the documented tricks don't work for Maps API v3? What about loading tab content using Ajax as per the jQuery UI docs? I haven't had a chance to play around with it but my guess is that it's going to break Maps even more. What are the chances of getting it to work (or is it not worth trying)? How do I make the map fill the largest possible area? I'd like it to fill the tab and adapt to page resizes, much in the way that it's done over at maps.google.com. But, as I said, I appear to be stuck with applying only absolute width and height CSS to the map div. Sorry if this was long-winded but this might be the only documentation for Maps API v3 + jQuery tabs. Cheers!

    Hello, So I need your help please! I've created a UITableViewController: ContactDetailViewController. In IB in the nib file, I've added a view ahead of the table view and hooked it up to headerView - a UIView declared in the .h file.   • No Properties path set - looking in classpath

    For whatever reason my project has decided it cannot find my transaction.properties file. It is located in the : src/main/resource However it looks in looks in target/classes/ The file also resides yet throws the errors(see below) These all seem to stem from the whole in the init of code I have no acces to which is always fun. As if you debug the Silverlight application then of first execution if you type following code ((System.Windows.Controls.TextBlock)(((System.Windows.Controls.ContentControl)(((DataGridRow)e.Row).Cells[1])).Content)).Text if will return empty string but if your datagrid has scroll (which is in my case , my datagrid has scroll), if you scroll down then the LoadingRow firs again and this time it will return Text on that cell?? why it is not return text on first time and return on second time when i press the scroll bar ??? If I paste above code in the cs file then it will return error 'System.Windows.Controls.DataGridRow' does not contain a definition for 'Cells' and no extension method 'Cells' accepting a first argument of type 'System.Windows.Controls.DataGridRow' could be found (are you missing a using directive or an assembly reference?)     I have the below code that does not seem to work at all :( I keep getting: Microsoft JScript runtime error: Object expected The error seems to occur when the timeout is done. So if I raise the timeout with 10 seconds the error holds for another 10 seconds. I want to be able to update the number of friends online async. The number is shown with the following html: <a href="" id="showChat" >Friends online <strong id="friendsOnline">(?)</strong></a> The friends part is set at the first run, but when the timeout calls back it does not fire again. Also, I cannot see on which line the error occurs because if I want to break on the error it just shows "no source code" etc. The code below is the code I'm using.   • Removing blank page at end of SSRS Report

    I have a report that produces a blank page at the end of the report. How do I get rid of it? The report consists of text/list boxes that are embedded inside a rectangle. The rectangle has the property selected: "Add page break after". If this option is selected the report renders exactly how it should, minus the extra blank page at the end. However, if the "Add page break after" option is not selected, the blank page does not appear, although the report does not display the content correctly. It seems that this option is producing the extra page at the end of the report. The issue is not with the margins. How can the last blank page be eliminated while still maintaining the page breaks throughout the rest of the report?

  • iPhone: Software Development And Distribution

    I have a few quick questions about the iPhone software development. I did some research about the topic, but there are a few specific things I would like to ask here, because I will have to estimate the cost of the required hardware and software, before I am allowed to buy anything. I never did any Mac development nor have I ever owned an iPhone, so needless to say this is quite hard for me. I will buy an iMac mini with 2 GB RAM for iPhone development. I will have to use it at the same time as my regular PC, but the majority of the time I won't use the Mac at all. Do I have to buy an additional monitor, a mouse and a keyboard or is there a better solution? I will have to port a C library to the iPhone platform and develop an iPhone application that uses the ported library. Do I need anything else than the iPhone SDK to do this? If I use an external library (see above), can I test the application with the integrated emulator, or is it recommend to buy the device? In a later phase of the project I will have to buy an iPhone, but I will have to wait until the iPhone 4 is released here in Europe, because the application requires a camera. In addition to this I will have to send data to a remote webservice. Aside from these two things I don't require any other features. Can I just buy the iPhone online from another country (the iPhones here are sim locked), or should I buy one with a contract? When the application is ready, it will be installed on a few iPhones owned by our customer. Because of security reasons it is crucial that there is no third party involved in this process (i.e. the application should not be distributed on the app store). Is this possible?
