• Making a cracked or activated windows uncracked

  I have a pc which has windows 7 license but I installed windows from an image i downloaded and it is already activated. for validating genuine microsoft, i need to entet my own product key but the necessary activation tools do not exist in my windows folder. What do? I googled stuff but because the keywords are too broad I couldn't find a useful tool DAZ doesn't work, activation button doesn't show up. When I enter my original key to Windows Anytime Upgrade, I get this error When I attempt using slmgr, I get this error I used sfc /scannow Now slmgr is existing, I entered slmgr.vbs -ipk XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX (replacing X es with the cd key) the operation successful. Now I have installed Microsoft Security essentials, which means the problem is solved. • How does RAM fail?

  I have an issue with a Dell Inspiron 15 (1545) laptop that refuses to open any applications (save select Microsoft programs, e.g. Security Essentials, Ctrl Panel, Windows Explorer (not Internet), regedit, Event Viewer, etc.). I've run Microsoft Memory Diagnostics Tool and it found a 'hardware problem was detected.' Does this indicate that the RAM has failed? I notice when I open programs like Word, Excel, Internet Explorer, etc., it always give me an error from WerFault.exe saying The instruction at xxxxxxx referenced memory at xxxxxxxxx. The memory could not be written. and sometimes something about illegal instructions. If it is a hardware problem, does this mean that replacing the RAM is my only option? Again, I would also like to know if RAM can fail (like hard drives) and if malware can cause RAM to fail also.

  I have manually redirected my entire site. The only page that's left is the homepage. How do I redirect my homepage to the new site (http://example.com) but keep my sitemaps on the old domain (www.example.com)? Below is the structure for the sitemap urls: Main - http://www.example.com/sitemap.xml Sub - http://www.example.com/sitemap-pt-post-2013-07.xml (Month and year are the only parts that change) I have tried this and the site redirects but GWT tells me that I dont have a 301 set: RewriteEngine on RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} olddomain\.com [NC] RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} ^/$ Rewriterule ^(.*)$ http://newdomain.com/ [L,R=301] P.S. I want to do this so that I could track the 301 in GWT and etc. until things a finalized.

• Flash Player Automatic Updater on Windows Startup

  Hi all, Adobe Flash Player is set to automatically check for updates on Windows startup. I've always wondered where exactly it is set to do this. Checking the running services, as well as msconfig does not yield its location. The message in question looks like this: http://www.technipages.com/disable-an-update-to-your-adobe-flash-player-is-available-message-forever.html I know how to disable it via Adobe's web site (instructions are included in link above), but I'm interested in knowing where exactly in Windows is this set to perform this action? I have done some research on this, and people keep saying to check the following registry locations: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunOnce or the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run However, I have checked those locations, and I still cannot locate where this updater is stored. I'm pretty sure that malware also uses this technique to automatically load upon startup, and since it's not in the typical location(s) that a user would look, it's well hidden. • Enable hardware virtualization in BIOS?

  I am running a FOXCONN AM2+ M61PMV with an AMD Athlon II X2 240 Windows 7 ultimate 64 bit. From startup I have hit the del key and the options for enabling the hardware virtualization are not there. I have checked the Microsoft tool that says I can run virtual and i have checked SecurAble, that says yes. But I have an open case w/microsoft (they've been trying for a week [7 tech support people later]) and they're saying that I need to ensure that the hardware is enabled. Where do I go to see? Is there another way besides from the startup?

  I've got an old laptop that is running Windows 2000 & Windows 98 in a multi-boot configuration. I need to add MS-DOS to that list of startup options. I've already added a primary partition, formatted it for FAT16 and made it bootable, and installed MS-DOS 6.22. My question is, how do I add my MS-DOS partition to the list of startup options? More information: My single hard drive has three primary partitions: 0: FAT32 Windows 2000 1: FAT32 Windows 98 2: FAT(16) MS-DOS 6.22 Currently, the boot-up screen lists Windows 2000 and Windows 98 as options, with Windows 2000 as the default choice.   I create WCF service library and i test that working fine on WCF Test client(default). when i host the WCF service in winodws service that time i got the error. Immediately, we will support using 12c database and drivers with WLS 10.3.6 and 12.1.1.  When the next version of WLS ships, additional functionality will be supported (those rows in the table below with all "No" values will get a "Yes).  The following table maps the Oracle 12c Database features supported with various combinations of currently available WLS releases, 11g and 12c Drivers, and 11g and 12c Databases. I plan to write some related blog articles not to duplicate existing product documentation but to introduce the features, provide some examples, and tie together some information to make it easier to understand. How do you get started with 12c?  The easiest way is to point your data source at a 12c database.  The only change on the WLS side is to update the URL in your data source (assuming that you are not just upgrading your database).  You can continue to use the 11.2.0.3 driver jar files that shipped with WLS 10.3.6 or 12.1.1.  You shouldn't see any changes in your application.  You can take advantage of enhancements on the database side that don't affect the mid-tier.  On the WLS side, you can take advantage of using Global Data Service or connecting to a tenant in a multi-tenant database transparently. If you want to use the 12c client jar files, it's a bit of work because they aren't shipped with WLS and you can't just drop in ojdbc6.jar as in the old days.  You need to use a matched set of jar files and they need to come before existing jar files in the CLASSPATH.  The MOS article is written from the standpoint that you need to get the jar files directly - download almost 1G and install over 600M footprint to get 15 jar files.  Assuming that you have the database installed and you can get access to the installation (or ask the DBA), you need to copy the 15 jar files to each machine with a WLS installation and get them in your CLASSPATH.  You can play with setting the PRE_CLASSPATH but the more practical approach may be to just update WL_HOME/common/bin/commEnv.sh directly.  There's a change in the transaction completion behavior (read the MOS) so if you think you might run into that, you will want to set -Doracle.jdbc.autoCommitSpecCompliant=false.  Also if you are running with Active GridLink, you must set -Doracle.ucp.PreWLS1212Compatible=true (how's that for telling you that this is fixed in WLS 12.1.2).  Once you get the configuration out of the way, you can start using the new ojdbc7.jar in place of the ojdbc6.jar to get the new JDBC 4.1 API's.  You can also start using Application Continuity.  This feature is also known as JDBC Replay because when a connection fails you get a new one with all JDBC operations up to the failure point automatically replayed.  As you might expect, there are some limitations but it's an interesting feature.  Obviously I'm going to focus on the 12c database features that we can leverage in WLS data source.  You will need to read other sources or the product documentation to get all of the new features.

  One of the main new features being touted in Office 2010 is the ability to upload documents to the Web for sharing and collaboration. Today we look at using Office Upload Center to help manage your uploaded documents. Microsoft Office Upload Center  When you upload an Office 2010 document to the web, a handy tool to manage them is the Office Upload Center. It’s a way to see what is being uploaded or what might have failed to reach the servers. It lets you know if a document failed to upload for some reason. In this case it looks like the incorrect credentials were entered when signing into Windows Live. Click on the Resolve button to get a list of actions you can take to get things corrected.   You can access the Upload Center from the icon which appears on the System Tray when uploading documents. Right-click the icon to control notifications, pause uploads, and access its settings. In the Settings section you can choose how Upload Center displays notifications, select the number of days to keep files in Cache, and delete currently cached files. If you find yourself uploading several documents to the web during the day, the Office Upload Center is a nice feature for managing them.   I'm trying to add shortcuts to folders in "My Computer". This .reg almost works, I can execute programs like EXPLORE.exe, but I want to open a folder in the same window. Can someone please point out how? • Could not retrieve backup settings for primary ID in Log shipping

  I am doing log shipping between two Amazon EC2 instances running Windows Server 2008 R2 with SQL Server 2008 R2 standard edition. Both the instances are in the same domain and I can access the shared folders between the instances. The SQL server service account, agent service account are all running under a domain account. When I activate log shipping (with stand by mode restore in secondary server), the initial backup gets restored on the secondary. After that the backup operation is getting failed and i get the following error message: *** Error: Could not retrieve backup settings for primary ID 'xxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-4d772cd7337e'.(Microsoft.SqlServer.Management.LogShipping) *** *** Error: Failed to connect to server IP-0A7653F2.(Microsoft.SqlServer.ConnectionInfo) *** ****** Error: A network-related or instance-specific error occurred while establishing a connection to SQL Server.******** **The server was not found or was not accessible. • How can I make WinXP bind to ports other than 1025-5000 for outgoing TCP connections?

  (I originally posted a similar question on StackOverflow but readers recommended I post here instead) When you create outgoing TCP connections, most applications let the operating system choose which port to use. Most OSes use the IANA recommended dynamic port range of 49152-65535 for this purpose. But in Windows 2003 and earlier (including XP) Microsoft uses ports 1025-5000. Microsoft lets you change the high end of this range via the MaxUserPort TcpIP registry setting, but I see no way to change the low end. I need to have port 4160 free for incoming connections and on rare occasions an outgoing connection steals that port from me before I bind that port.

• Server 2008 R2 .Net 4 Programs running from Network share won't work

  we have several .Net Apps stored on a Network share on our old Server (Windows Server 2003). These Apps get called by Windows 7 32bit Clients and work perfectly fine. We recently wanted to upgrade our Server to Windows Server 2008 R2 and moved the Apps from the old share to our new share on the new Server. The problem started right afterwards since all of our .Net Programs won't start anymore from the new share (2008 R2). The Error that comes up is: "This application could not be started." and with a link to Microsoft: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2715633 (This Error also shows up when i start a simple console HelloWorld from the server share created in VS2012) Does anyone have any Idea why this is not working anymore on the new Servershare? We've been searching for two days now with no result at all. Any Tips / Help / Questions appreciated :) Greetings Lim
