  • Problem with superfish submenu being trimmed by content in Firefox

    Greetings, I have a problem which would seem to involve some kind of z-index issue, but for a change it's in everything except IE. If you take a look at http://cougar.motivo.com.au/ in anything except Internet Explorer and hover over the last menu item "Contact Us" you can se what I'm referring to. Basically the supersub menu appears to be being trimmed by the width of the element below it. You can see via the source that I've tried setting z-indexes & position:relative, but at this point I'm stumped. Any and all input would be gratefully received :) P.S. I am aware that there are still a couple of issues in IE6. I am yet to have the pleasure of addressing those (groans).

  • Not getting stage.stageWidth and stageHeight on Firefox 3.5

    Here's a problem that I've been tried to figure out but still couldn't get the right method to fix it yet. I'm having issue regarding the display when using Firefox 3.5 on MAC, I can see my menu and the display is correct. The menu just position above what it supposed to be positioned. It works fine with Safari on MACOSX. My flash size is: 1440x750 It looks like Firefox can't recognize stage.StageWidth and stage.StageHeight. It returns 0. Some suggest implementing was to pass in the actual width and height of movie via FlashVars. The movie uses these instead of stage.stageWidth and stage.stageHeight Does anyone have an example of code of how to fix that issue?? Appreciated to point me out the right way

    I am using Jquery to make an image scroll across my page horizontally. The only problem is that it uses a serious amount of cpu usage. Up to 100% on a single core laptop in firefox. What could cause this??? I've tried using Javascript and inserting animation commands directly into the SVG, but nothing works. I don't want to load in an entire JS library for this one task.   • Scrolling a Div programatically using say Javascript

    Hi I have a jqgrid which is embedded in a Div. I am deleting records from the grid and reloading the grid using grid.Trigger('reload'). The width of the grid is considerably high so it has a scroll bar. Now I scrolled through the end of the grid horizontally before deleting records. Each time I delete the records and reload the grid, the column headers and their values are slightly misaligned. When I move the scroll bar back to original position or just move the scroll bar slightly they are aligned properly. So I thought its better to move the scroll bar to its inital position when the grid reloads. How can a scroll bar be programatically moved using javascript. Or is there any other way to solve my problem?

    Hello onlookers, A web site I've been using has some interesting behavior... There is a form, but there is no button for submission. Instead, there is an input: <input id="ctl00_pageContent_loginButton" type="image" style="border-width: 0px;" alt="Login" src="images/btn_login.gif" name="ctl00$pageContent$loginButton"/> and when you hover over it the cursor turns into a hand, like an anchor tag -- however I do not see any css (in firebug) showing that the input should have a hover attribute. Further, the input does not have any sign of being an actual link/submission button. I'm stumped -- would love to know how they were able to do this. The instructions I am following suggest that if I click the item, the properties window will appear (it does), and then I can click ColumnDefinitions (which is a Collection) to bring up the Collection Editor and add some columns. However, the ColumnDefinitions property looks like this: The ColumnDefinitions ellipsis you'd normally press is gone, or invisible, or something. Any idea why?

    Hi, I want to create a button which resize dynamically with content. to achieve this, I created a MovieClip in library and added four layers into it namely - text, bg, shadow and border. Problem I'm having is, if I make textfield autosize, only textfield resizes and others stuff remain as it is. if I calculate width required using xxxLineMetrics function and apply it to Button, background resizes properly but textfield also stretches with them and looks ugly. I want backgrounds(sibling of textfield) resize properly with textfield so button looks nice with resized background and normal autosized textfield. I hope u guys got what I want...any help appreciated... Thanks,

    I have a UITableView with an Index on the side; I want to add a UISearchBar to it, but the index overlaps with the "x" to clear the search. I've noticed in the Contacts application, the textfield within the UISearchBar is resized to accommodate this, but I can't work out how to do this in my own app. I have tried the following in my viewDidLoad, but it does not seem to work. The issue that I am having is that the border skin does not appear the way that I had hoped it would. Here is a ss of the skin in place.     I'm running into a problem using dojo.connect() to connect an 'onclick' event with this button: <button dojoType="dijit.form.Button" widgetId="inbox_button" id="inbox_button">Inbox</button> and the code making the connection is: var inbox_button=dojo.byId("inbox_button"); dojo.connect(inbox_button,'onclick',function(){ var container=dijit.byId("center"); container.addChild(new dijit.layout.ContentPane({region: "left", content: "...", style: "width: 100px;"})) }); However, instead of executing the function when the button is clicked, ANY onclick event triggers the function, and I end up with a lot of children containers. Even though I'm pretty certain the .connect() function should be available as part of dojo's base functionality, I've 'required' it explicitly: dojo.require("dojo._base.connect"); Any ideas as to why this might be happening?
