  • WPF FlowDocument: force calculation of height etc. "off screen"

    My target: a DocumentPaginator which takes a FlowDocument with a table, which splits the table to fit the pagesize and repeat the header/footer (special tagged TableRowGroups) on every page. For splitting the table I have to know the heights of its rows. While building the FlowDocument-table by code, the height/width of the TableRows are 0 (of course). If I assign this document to a FlowDocumentScrollViewer (PageSize is set), the heights etc. are calculated. Is this possible without using an UI-bound object? Instantiating a FlowDocumentScrollViewer which is not bound to a window doesn't force the pagination/calculation of the heights. This is how I determine the height of a TableRow (which works perfectly for documents shown by a FlowDocumentScrollViewer): FlowDocument doc = BuildNewDocument(); // what is the scrollviewer doing with the FlowDocument?     I am little confused with my Opengl game loop. as I am skipping touch events some times. My game loop is some thing like this.. I have ScreenManager which draw and update all game screens who so ever has control.In update I am checking input of all screen also. if input state changes, then whichever screen has control, consume touches. EaglView draw update | | ScreenManager.draw ScreenManager.update -> handle input stack ___________ ___________ of ___________ ___________ screen ___________ ___________ Problem comes.. I am changing input state as touch begun and end methods called. but sometimes In my game loop both touchbegun/end methods get called between two updates and I am missing events. I guess approach is not good. can you guys share your approach to this problem.

    If I have a catch-all-route like this: match '*request_path' => "pages#show", :as => :page ...and the pages can be arbitrarily nested, how do I make it so I can use the url helper methods? If I have a page structure like this: /about /about/people /about/story /about/story/in-depth Then I want to be able to write page_path(@page) and get /about/story/in-depth for the hypothetical "In Depth Story" page. But instead I'm just getting /in-depth. If I override Page#to_param, and do something like this: def to_param result = "" if parent result << parent.to_param result << "/" end result << super end ... it returns an encoded string like this: /about%2Fstory%2Fin-depth Is there a way to make this work?

  • Failure connecting to Dell MD3200i from XenServer 6.2 pool

    This question also asked at Citrix Forums http://forums.citrix.com/thread.jspa?threadID=332289 I have a MD3200i that is currently working fine with my Xen5.6 pool, but I cannot get a connection to the new 6.2 pool to work. I previously had a problem with a 6.0 upgrade (which is why the old pool is still on 5.6), but rolled back rather than fix it as it wasn't urgent at the time. This install is on new machines - I tried 6.1 first (which had the same problems) then 6.2 was released the second day after installation so I switched to that. I've not installed anything from the Dell resource DVD at this point - I can't find anything saying I should, and everything I have read suggests it shouldn't be necessary. I can ping all 8 ip addresses from both servers in the pool, iscsiadm -m discovery works fine, I can login to the nodes and iscsiadm reports the sessions active correctly. I've added the required sections to multipath.conf, but multipath -ll reports DM multipath kernel driver not loaded immediately after boot.   • Cisco 881 losing NAT NVI translation config after reload

    This is a weird one, so I'll try to explain in as much detail as I can so I'm giving the whole picture. As I've mentioned in my other questions, I'm in the process of setting up a new Cisco 881 as my WAN router and NAT firewall. I'm facing an issue where NAT NVI rules that I have configured are not enabled after a reload of the router, regardless of the fact that they are present in the startup-config.     Hi, I'm having a problem with the UIWebView and MPMoviePlayerController: My UIWebView have a movie inside the html (it's a local html file), I'm using html5 and a video tag for the video. The problem is: the user can set the video to play inline, directly on the html or he can tap the fullscreen button, but I need to know if the video is playing fullscreen. I've tried to use MPMoviePlayerDidEnterFullscreenNotification but with no success. Does anybody know how to get this notification from the webview? Thanks in advance

    I am planning a web-based commercial application with front-end RoR and back-end PostgreSQL. I've some confusion about RoR and PostgreSQL Edition to use. For RoR, I have Aptana RADRails installed. For PostgreSQL, a free variant is also available at EnterpriseDB. Previously I installed a free EnterpriseDB PostgreSQL variant and it was very smooth and had professional touch. It was quite different from the one available from PostgreSQL website. I want to know which IDE and RoR variant to use for my project. I have no idea of Ruby and Rails. I will be learning and developing simultaneously. Also, which PostgreSQL variant to use? Can these two technologies be used for a developing a commercial application?

  • Is InstallShield 2010 really necessary to support Windows 7 (against using InstallShield 12)

    I have received an e-mail from Flexera containing the following statement: "We understand that many of our customers still using InstallShield 12 maybe having difficulties sending installations to Windows 7 desktops, 64 Bit servers or R2 2008. Therefore we would like to provide this opportunity for you to erase these potential / current problems and upgrade despite InstallShield 12 being End of Life’d some time ago." We have not had any problems ourselves. I am interested to hear if anyone else has had any issues or whether this is a scare to get us to upgrade unnecessarily. I did examine in some detail the differences at the original end-of-life notice but could not see any issues that affected our installations. Interestingly they call this an 'amnesty' - almost implying we are criminals for not upgrading (cf OED).

In my experience, when I specify a custom preloader using the preloader="com.foo.MyPreloader" in the Application tag, the preloader does not display until the SWF is completely downloaded, defeating the purpose of the preloader! Perhaps this is a bug in the still-beta Flex 4 framework?

    I am adding I18N to my rails application by passing the locale using url params. My urls are looking like http://example.com/en/users and http://example.com/ar/users (for the english and arabic locales respectively). In my routes file, I have defined my routes with a :path_prefix option: map.resources :users, :path_prefix => '/:locale' And locale is being set using a before_filter defined in ApplicationController def set_locale I18n.locale = params[:locale] end I also defined ApplicationController#default_url_options, to add locale to all urls generated by the application: def default_url_options(options={}) {:locale => I18n.locale} end What I want is to add a link in the layout header (displayed in all pages) that would link to the same page but with the other locale. For instance, if I am browsing the arabic locale, I want a "English" link in the header, that will redirect me back to my current page, and set the locale to english. Is there a way to do this in rails?

    Hi everybody, I am using jQTouch to show a table list. When a cell (really a < li tag in jQTouch) is clicked, I would like to animate the height of the cell down to 0, then hide the element. I have tried using jquery.animate() for this, and it works on firefox/chrome/opera, but it is super slow on the iPhone. Does anyone have any idea how to use -webkit-animate (or some iPhone compatible framework, such as jQTouch), to do this? Thanks, Brett

  • Finding edge and corner values of an image in matlab

    Hi, this problem links to two other questions i've asked on here. I am tracing the outline of an image and plotting this to a dxf file. I would like to use the bwboundaries function to find the coordinates of the edges of the image, find the corner coordinates using the cornermetric function and then remove any edge coordinates that are not a corner. The important thing I need to be able to do is keep the order of the corner elements obtained from bwboundaries, so that the section traces properly. The dxf function I have that draws from the coordinates draws lines between coordinates that are next to each other, so the line has to be drawn "around" the section rather than straight between the corner points. The reason I am doing this is because there are less coordinates obtained this way, so it is easier to amend the dxf file (as there are less points to manipulate).     I use echo in Upstart scripts to log things: script echo "main: some data" >> log end script post-start script echo "post-start: another data" >> log end script Now these two run in parallel, so in the logs I often see: main: post-start: some data another data This is not critical, so I won't employ proper synching, but thought I'd turn auto flush ON to at least reduce this effect. Is there an easy way to do that? Update: yes, flushing will not properly fix it, but I've seen it help such situations to some degree, and this is all I need in this case. It's just that I don't know how to do it in Shell
