    I have the below query Select case upper(device_model) when 'IPHONE' then 'iOS - iPhone' when 'IPAD' then 'iOS - iPad' when 'IPOD TOUCH' then 'iOS - iPod Touch' Else 'Android' End As Device_Model, count(create_dtime) as Installs_Oct17_Oct30 From Player Where Create_Dtime >= To_Date('2012-Oct-17','yyyy-mon-dd') And Create_Dtime <= To_Date('2012-Oct-30','yyyy-mon-dd') Group By Device_Model Order By Device_Model This spits out multiple rows of results that read "Android"....I would like there to be only 4 results rows, one for each case....so it comes out like this: Device_Model Installs_Oct17_Oct30 Android 987 iOS - iPad 12003 iOS - iPhone 8563 iOS- iPod Touch 3482

What I would like to do with this data is create a new table with Dates and prior 7-day revenue numbers. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.     Suppose I have a 2 column table (id, flag) and id is sequential. I expect this table to contain a lot of records. I want to periodically select the first row not flagged and update it. Some of the records on the way may have already been flagged, so I want to skip them. Does it make more sense if I store the last id I flagged and use it in my select statement, like select * from mytable where id > my_last_id order by id asc limit 1 or simply get the first unflagged row, like: select * from mytable where flagged = 'F' order by id asc limit 1 Thank you!

    Hello I'm trying to do a request that looks like this SELECT field1, field2, field3 = CASE WHEN field2 = 'something' THEN 'something' WHEN field1 IS NOT NULL and field2 IS NULL THEN 'somethingElse' ELSE NULL END FROM SomeTable WHERE field3 IS NOT NULL This results in a syntax error. I have to rewrite the CASE in the WHERE instead of just refering to it. Is there a better way to achieve this ? And out of curiosity, why is "WHERE field3 IS NOT NULL" refused while for example "ORDER BY field3" would pass ?
