• Why are some of my view not aligned correctly at the bottom of my relative layout?

  I have problems getting some of my views aligned in a relative layout that I use inside a row of my listview. Here is a screenshot from the layout builder in Eclipse, this is what I think it should look like: The next image is from the emulator. Now the TestTestTest View is at the top and covers the name and distance Textviews. • C# remote web request certificate error

  Hi. I am currently integrating a payment gateway into an application. Following a successful transaction the remote payment gateway posts details of the transaction back to my application (ITN). It posts to a HttpHandler that is used to read and validate the data. Part of the validation performed is a POST made by the handler to a validation service provided by the payment gateway. This effectively posts some of the original form values received back to the payment gateway to ensure they are valid.   Hi! I want to create a custom tabcontrol class which has an icon before the text, and I want to be able to change the icon in the constructor of the new tabcontrol. I use implicit styles in Silverlight 4, and the custom tabcontrol should not have any xaml of its own, just the class and the implicit xaml style in my App.xaml. I cannot, however, get this to work. • WPF: Animating TranslateTransform from code

  I have a WPF canvas on which I'm dynamically creating objects from code. These objects are being transformed by setting the RenderTransform property, and an animation needs to be applied one of those transforms. Currently, I can't get properties of any transform to animate (although no exception gets raised and the animation appears to run - the completed event gets raised). In addition, if the animation system is stressed, sometimes the Storyboard.Completed event is never raised. All the examples I've come accross animate the transforms from XAML. MSDN documentation suggests that the x:Name property of a transform must be set for it to be animatable, but I haven't found a working way to set it from code. Any ideas? • What is wrong with my gtkrc file?

  I have written following gtkrc file from some other theme gtkrc file. This theme is normal theme with buttons using pixmap theme engine. I have also given background image to GtkEntry. Problem is that, When i use this theme my buttons doesn't show text one them and my entry box does not show cursor.   As far as I can tell the only way to convert from BitmapSource to Bitmap is through unsafe code... And what is the reason it isn't in there (if it's not)? I would think it's fairly usable. The reason I need it is because I use AForge to do certain image operations in an WPF app. WPF wants to show BitmapSource/ImageSource but AForge works on Bitmaps.

• Cannot iterate of a collection of Anonymous Types created from a LINQ Query in VB.NET

  Ok everyone, I must be missing something here. Every LINQ example I have seen for VB.NET anonymous types claims I can do something like this: Dim Info As EnumerableRowCollection = pDataSet.Tables(0).AsEnumerable Dim Infos = From a In Info _ Select New With {.Prop1 = a("Prop1"), .Prop2 = a("Prop2"), .Prop3 = a("Prop3") } Now when I go to iterate through the collection(see example below), I get an error that says "Name "x" is not declared. For Each x in Infos ... Next It's like VB.NET doesn't understand that Infos is a collection of anonymous types created by LINQ and wants me to declare "x" as some type. (Wouldn't this defeat the purpose of an anonymous type?) I have added the references to System.Data.Linq and System.Data.DataSetExtensions to my project. Here is what I am importing with the class: Imports System.Linq Imports System.Linq.Enumerable Imports System.Linq.Queryable Imports System.Data.Linq Any ideas?

  I have a WSDL that the consumer of my web service expects will be adhered to strictly. I converted it into an interface with wsdl.exe and had my web service implement it. Except for this problem, I have been generally pleased with the results. A simple GetCurrentTime method will have the following response class generated from the WSDL in the interface definition: [System.CodeDobmCompiler.GeneratedCodeAttribute("wsdl", "2.0.50727.3038")] [System.SerializableAttribute()] [System.Diagnostics.DebuggerStepThroughAttribute()] [System.ComponentModel.DesignerCategoryAttribute("code")] [System.Xml.Serialization.XmlTypeAttribute(Namespace="[Client Namespace]")] public partial class GetCurrentTimeResponse { private System.DateTime timeStampField; [System.Xml.Serialization.XmlElementAttribute(Form=System.Xml.Schema.XmlSchemaForm.Unqualified] public System.DateTime TimeStamp{ // [accesses timeStampField] } } When I put the response data into the automatically generated response class, it gets serialized into an appropriate XML response. (Most of the web methods have much more complicated return types with multiple levels of arrays.) The problem is that the default serialization of DateTime objects violates one of the requirements in the WSDL: ... <xsd:simpleType name="SearchTimeStamp"> <xsd:restriction base="xsd:dateTime"> <xsd:pattern value="[0-9]{4}-[0-9]{2}-[0-9]{2}T[0-9]{2}:[0-9]{2}:[0-9]{2}(.[0-9]{1,7})?Z"> </xsd:restriction> </xsd:simpleType> ... Note the last part of the pattern where subseconds must be either 1 or 7 characters if they are included. The client seems to be rejecting the response because it does not match that requirement. The main issue is that when .NET serializes a DateTime object, it omits all trailing zeroes, meaning the resulting subsecond value varies in length. (e.g., "12:34:56.700" gets serialized as "<TimeStamp>12:34:56:7</TimeStamp>" by default). We use millisecond precision, so I need all timestamps to format with 7 subsecond digits in order to be compliant with the WSDL. It would be easy if I could specify a format string, but I'm not sure how to control the string that the DateTime object uses to serialize to XML, or to otherwise override the serialization behavior. How do I do this? Keeping in mind the following... I would like to modify the generated code as little as possible... preferably not at all if the change can be made through a partial class or inherited class. Using an inherited class for the return type of the web method will cause the web service to no longer implement the auto-generated interface. The TimeStamp type occurs in other, more complex response types. So, manually overriding the entire serialization process may be prohibitively time-consuming.

  Hi all, i know it's been asked before but i cant get it to run and i'm out of things to try. So i want to colorize a row in a Grid if its value is not 1 - i use a custom formatter for this. The formatter itself works, thats not the problem. I've tried multple ways I've found so far on the web - adding a class, directly adding css code, using setRowData, using setCell....   Hi iam using a listbox to show a list of items. in the listbox i ahve an togglebutton on every item. When i click on the toggle button the state of the togglebutton is pressed. But when i am scrolling down in the listbox and scolls up again. The togglebutton state is not pressed. How can i prevent this please help. • iPhone MapKit problems: viewForAnnotation inconsistently setting pinColor?

  Hi, I'm trying setup a map that displays different pin colors depending on the type/class of the location in question. I know this is a pretty common thing to do, but I'm having trouble getting the viewForAnnotation delegate to consistently update/set the pin color. I've also noticed that what generally happens is that the first search for a new location will set all pins to the last color in the "if" block, but search for the same location again will set the pins to the correct color. I suspect I am not supposed to usen NSUserDefaults in this way, but I also tried to create my own subclass for MKAnnotation which included an additional property "currentPinColor", and while this allowed me to set the "currentPinColor", when I tried to access the "currentPinColor from the delegate method, the compiler complained that it didn't know anything about "currentPinColor in connection with MKAnnotation. Fair enough I guess, but then I tried to revise the delegate method, - (MKAnnotationView *) mapView:(MKMapView *)mapView viewForAnnotation:(id )annotation instead of the default - (MKAnnotationView *) mapView:(MKMapView *)mapView viewForAnnotation:(id )annotation at which point the compiler complained that it didn't know anything about the protocol for MyCustomMKAnnotation in this delegate context. What is the proper way to set the delegate method and/or MyCustomMKAnnotation, or what is the appropriate way to achieve consistent pinColor settings. I'm just about out of ideas for things to try here.

• Custom Fill Property on PathGeometry in Silverlight

  I've been looking at (and getting confused by) Dependency Properties - I'm not sure if this is what I need or if there is something else. I'm looking to something very specific with <Path.Data/> children in Silverlight, in particular <PathGeometry/>, <EllipseGeometry/>, etc. While the <Path/> element has a .Fill property, I'd like to add a .Fill property to any of it's Geometries, meaning it's a different color from it's parent. It could be a <SolidColorBrush/> or <LinearGradientBrush/> color, or a percentage of the parent color (like 20% darker than <Path.Fill/>. Is this possible? Is this a dependency property? How would <RectangleGeometry/>, for example, know that I am trying to fill it with a color? How would I get started? (adding WPF as a tag too as someone who knows WPF may be able to help)

I do it like this: void Form1Paint(object sender, PaintEventArgs e) { e.Graphics.DrawImageUnscaled(bitmap, 0, 0); } Hovewer, the DrawImageUnscaled copies pixels and applies the alpha channel, thus pixels with alpha == 0 won't have any effect. But I need raw byte copy, so pixels with alpha == 0 are also copied. So the result of these operations should be that e.Graphics contains exact byte-copy of the bitmap. How to do that? Summary: When drawing a bitmap, I don't want to apply the alpha channel, I merely want to copy the pixels.

  I get the folowing error in my Silverlight application. But i cant figure out what control it is that is the problem. If i debug it don't break on anything in the code, it just fails in this framework callstack with only framework code. Is there any way to get more information on what part of a Silverlight app that is the problem in this case. • How do you draw like a Crayon?

  Crayon Physics Deluxe is a commercial game that came out recently. Watch the video on the main link to get an idea of what I'm talking about. It allows you to draw shapes and have them react with proper physics. The goal is to move a ball to a star across the screen using contraptions and shapes you build. While the game is basically a wrapper for the popular Box2D Physics Engine, it does have one feature that I'm curious about how it is implemented. Its drawing looks very much like a Crayon. You can see the texture of the crayon and as it draws it varies in thickness and darkness just like an actual crayon drawing would look like. The background texture is freely available here. Close up of crayon drawing - Note the varying darkness What kind of algorithm would be used to render those lines in a way that looks like a Crayon? Is it a simple texture applied with a random thickness and darkness or is there something more going on?

• CSS: Style applied to a combination of classes?

  Hi All, I'm not sure this is possible, but is there a syntax to be used in CSS when you want to style an element based on the combination of classes applied to it? I understand that I can check an element with jQuery or something and change it's style based on the classes it has, but is there a pure CSS way to do this? For example, if I have a class for bold and green: .bold_green { color:green; font-weight:bold; } And a class for bold and blue: .bold_blue { color:green; font-weight:bold. } Now, say I am using jQuery to add and remove classes dynamically and want any element that has both classes to turn italic pink. Something like: .bold_green AND .bold_blue { color:pink; font-style:italic; } Or, if I want to style an element that has aclass, and is a descendant of another element that has another class? Something like: .bold_green HAS_CHILD .bold_blue { color:black; background-color:yellow; } Thanks!
