  • disabling "block selection" on an iPhone

    I am building an app for iPhone that has javascript running in a webview. When the new auto-select block selection tool is used to select text, and the block is resized from the side, it makes my javascript freak out. Does anyone know a way to disable the copy/paste for block selection? I still need to be able to select text, just not using the big selection tool. Thanks

  • Recursively disabling CONFIG dependencies on linux kernel builds

    When configuring a Linux kernel, I normally start with my distribution's kernel config file. I often want to turn off some entries, but they are sometimes unchangeable because other CONFIG options that depend on it are enabled. I can look up the dependencies manually, which often have dependencies of their own. It can be pretty time consuming to did through them all, especially if you're trying to turn off something like CONFIG_KALLSYMS. Is there a way to specify a CONFIG option you want gone, and have all dependencies automatically selected/disselected as nessisary for you? I looked through all the make options and in the scripts directory, and didn't see anything available for this.

  • Externally disabling signals for a Linux program.

    Hello, On Linux, is it possible to somehow disable signaling for programs externally... that is, without modifying their source code? Context: I'm calling a C (and also a Java) program from within a bash script on Linux. I don't want any interruptions for my bash script, and for the other programs that the script launches (as foreground processes). While I can use a... trap '' INT ... in my bash script to disable the Ctrl C signal, this works only when the program control happens to be in the bash code. That is, if I press Ctrl C while the C program is running, the C program gets interrupted and it exits! This C program is doing some critical operation because of which I don't want it be interrupted.   • Disabling a window after SendInput()

    From my application I want to do two 'very basic' actions: 1. send a bunch of input (movemouse on window 'W', click, movemouse back) using SendInput() 2. disable window 'W' either by setting its layered alpha property to zero or using EnableWindow(W, FALSE). No matter what the delay between 1 and 2 is, it doesn't work. If I don't ever disable the window, if I don't do step 2, then it works great all the time. I tried putting a Sleep(10000) and it still didn't work. Window gets disabled but it doesn't receive the input. What could I be missing here?

    Hi I have a simple script in HTML, using a dropdown menu. When the value 1 is selected, the user can write in the text field, if value 2 is selected, it disables the text field. However, i changed the values of the dropdown menu, so that one value was from a mysql table(using PHP) and the other remained 'option value='1''. Yet now neither text field is disabled. Something like this: doc1: 1,0.45 6,0.001 94,0.1 ... doc2: 3,0.5 98,0.2 ... ... each position of the vector represent a word, and the score is given by something like TF-IDF. Do you know some library/tool/whatever for this? (java is better)

  • jQuery: Freezing/Disabling all events temporarily?

    I have the following usecase: A div with some buttons When the user clicks on a button, a popup is shown and the background div is faded out to 0.5 opacity The problem is that when the popup comes in, the user is still able to click on the background buttons. At this point, I can remove the entire DIV temporarily but I don't want to do that. Is there anyway I can disable all the previously attached events and then add event handlers ONLY to the current popup? (I mean something like a close button should still work on a popup) Any suggestions?

    In my application I have a button. If the button is clicked as select against a database is executed and the result is shown in a ListView. As the select is quite complex, it takes some time to retrieve the data. When I click the Button, the Application-Window should be disabled until the data is loaded. But when I set the IsEnabled-Property of the Window to false, the Window gets disabled after the data is loaded. I tried to disable the Window in an other thread with a BackgroundWorker. But then I get an exception that the Window is alreay in use by an other thread. How can I disable the Window bevore it retrieves the data?

    Hi, I'm wondering what type of threshold would work well for distinguishing features that are very small (small in the xy sense) in comparison with the full spread, if that makes sense. The graythresh() function in Matlab that uses the Otsu method doesn't work too well for my data. Otsu is a clustering method where I think the # of pixels should be similar in each class, which is not the case for me so when I employ it I get a threshold that is way too small and falls well within a lot of the background noise that remains even after filtering.

If someone checks the checkbox for project cost under change this parameter then checkbox for project cost under Generate simulated value for this param should be disabled and all the checkboxes under change this parameter should be disabled except for checked one. Similarly this should be done each parameter like Project cost,avg hours,Project completion date, hourly rate etc. One way i could think of was of on the click function disable each checkbox by the id.     I am using code first approach in a ASP.NET MVC 3 application and all integer primary keys in models (public int Id { get; set; }) are by default configured as an identity with auto-incrementing. How to disable this and enable a way to manually enter the integer for the primary key? The actual situation is that the Id integers have a special meaning and I would therefore like to have them choosable at creation and later editable. It would be ideal if in case the integer is not given at creation time it is auto-incremented, else the specified value is used. But editable primary fields is my primary need. Is there any way to do this elegantly in ASP.NET MVC 3?

    I am trying to disable the click or mousedown event on the Slider tract. I want the slider to only move by dragging the handle. I tried adding preventDefault() and return false to the slider but no use. Its still triggering the jump.
