    Anyone know of any open source libraries for particle based large scale smooth particle hydrodynamics. I am looking for a easier way of simulating large scale planetary body impacts with rotation. I was also wondering if you had any ideas on how to visualize the output from said simulation. I have tried using IBM graphviz, but it is very difficult to work with. Any pointers would be appreciated. Thanks!

    Hi everyone, Im having some trouble with an oracle database. Every time i try to connect, i get this message. ORA-01033: ORACLE initialization or shutdown in progress I searched the web, and found that the solution is to execute an alter database open command, but what I dont understand is where should i execute if, since I cant connect to the database.     I'm looking for a good open source multi-touch API to use in a project we might get. So far I've found PyMT, but haven't really seen any comments on the maturity of that product, so any input in that regard would be much appreciated. I'd also like some other suggestions on API's that might be of interest, since googling have only given so much, and as with PyMT, it is quite difficult finding opinions on the frameworks out there. I would like to know whether software under a certain licence can be used in commercial closed source software, if there has to be the original source code included, if the licence has to be redistirbuted, etc. I know this is a difficult topic because I guess only the minority of programmers are also moonlighting lawyers - neither am I.
