    I am trying to match the sub domain of an url using http://([a-z0-9]*.)?example.com/.* which works perfectly for these cases. http://example.com/index.html http://test.example.com/index.html http://test1.example.com/index.html http://www.example.com/122/index.html But the problem is it matches for this URL too. http://www.test.com/?q=http://example.com/index.html if an URL with another domain has the URL in path it matches.Can any one tell me how to match for current domain only. getting the host will work but i need to match full URL.

Beach Co-ed 6s (Jul-Aug)'; echo ereg_replace('([^a-z0-9]+)','-',strtolower($str)); ?> produces this: save-45-wed-beach-co-ed-6s-jul-aug- How can I remove a specific trailing character only if its there, in this case the dash? Pleas not another answer "use existing xml parser". Question is - are the regexes proper or not? This is specific situation - C language in embedded system and xml is not well-formed (cannot be fixed - does not depend on me). Xml have specified schema and no problem with namespaces etc. exists.

This how lines can looks: DE 83543 Rott am Inn Bayern BY Oberbayern Landkreis Rosenheim 47.983 12.1278 DE 21147 Hamburg Hamburg HH Kreisfreie Stadt Hamburg 53.55 10 What's for sure is, there are no dots surrounded by digits except for the ones representing the doubles. Unfortunately there are Values without a dot, so it's probably best to check for numbers from the end of the String. thanks for your help!

    This is probably a really basic question, but I can't find any answers. I need to match a string by either one or more spaces OR an equals sign. When I split this string: 9 x 13 = (8.9 x 13.4) (89 x 134) with ( +) I get: part 0: 9 x 13 = (8.9 x 13.4) part 1: (89 x 134) When I split it with (=) I get: part 0: 9 x 13 part 1: (8.9 x 13.4) (89 x 134) How can split by BOTH?     Hello, I am working with php and mysql. I have one dropdown box where I am asking datatype of mysql field. Now, I want to put javascript validation for it. I am confused with the enum datatype. I am using regular expression /^[']{1}[^',^\\]+[']{1}$/. This is for one single value of enum values. It is working fine but issue is when I put single quote or backslash with backslash, it is valid but this regular expression shows it as invalid. For eg, 'a'b' is invalid but 'a\'b' is valid.
