    Is it possible to mount remote file system (on Windows 2003 server) as local disk in Windows 7? I have Windows 2003 server with software RAID and some shares. On another computer with Windows 7 I have software which can access only data form local or USB disks. This solution doesn't work because program doesn't see files in folder: Mount Remote CIFS/SMB Share as a Folder not a Drive Letter Everything is the same LAN.

  • Remote execution in a domain environment

    I have a windows domain environment and it contains only Server 2008 Os's. I'm trying to execute a script or a program from 1 server on multiple servers, but I can't configure or install any applications. I was trying to user powershell v2.0 (invoke-command) but its not configured and I cant configure it. I'm looking for an alternative maybe WMI. Psexec and rcmd are not installed on any servers. Any advise could help a lot.

  • How do I change Internet Explorer security settings for all users using Active Directory?

    I recently created an Intranet application for my company, but to work properly it must execute an ActiveX control to locally run a program. However, the only way I found for this to work was using Internet Explorer, and setting Intranet security to a personalized "very low" configuration for being able to execute ActiveX scripts without asking. I think there is a way to automatically configure IE's settings for all users from Active Directory, but I can't find it. Any help?

Printing these labels is ok, but some of the label paper are quarter turned and the pdf are printed incorrectly. There is a possibility to rotate the page before printing. But is it possible to rotate a pdf file and save it again as a pdf file? And there are thousands of pdf files, is it also possible to do this is a batch program?

  • Easy management of multiple connections

    Hi, on a Windows 7 machine I need to switch back and forth two connections: the LAN connection (that works behind a proxy) and a wireless connection via a USB modem. This requires every time to activate / deactivate two connections in the manager and switch on / off the LAN settings. I don't think there is some way to keep two connections alive and specify which one to use based on the program, but my question is: is there a simple little utility that makes switching the connection one-click easy and fast?     I have my tv connected to my Windows XP pc's nvidia GeForce 8500 GT. I am constantly switching between single display and clone display. Is there a way to script these settings? I would be fine with writing a batch file or a .net program to do it. So I don't screw it up, I'd like to pre-record typing the more complicated bits of the source code and play it back. Most programs I've found that do similar things (like AutoHotKey) dump the text instantaneously as a giant block. Is there any program that will do this and allow me to adjust the play-back speed?

  • Autohotkey numpad mouse script, events propagating to some programs, but not others

    I have an issue when trying out one of the example scripts in the autohotkey docs: http://www.autohotkey.com/docs/scripts/NumpadMouse.htm When a program like Notepad++ gets focus, the script does not seem to receive key events, and instead the key events seem to be consumed by Notepad++. Is there a modification to the script that would allow it to receive the events no matter what window was open?

For example, I can login to Webmoney from console using links/lynx/link2 (but not w3m), entering captcha (using aaxine) and do operations there, but can't login not using X.509 certificate (even if I try to separate SSL part using "socat tcp-l:... openssl:...:443,cert=extracted_from_firefox.pem") Is there some program that behaves like fully-fledged browser (build DOM/execute JS/Support all features except of actually displaying things), but without GUI and dependencies on GUI libraries?

    We have a database file (foxpro) on a Windows share (2003 server). We're having some problems where the program that writes to this file has to retry as the file is locked. This all happens very quickly and within a few seconds the file is available, but the problem is it shouldn't be locked. Does anyone know how we can view what's locking it? Any tools available?

    Hi, I am translating some po-files and I would like to run a spell checker over them. I have Ubuntu 10.10 and use gtranslator. As far as I know, gtranslator can't spellcheck the whole file. I tried ispell: $ ispell lordsawar-0.2.0-pre4.de.po - this doesn't work, as English and German strings, as well as some programming-relevant comments appear in the .po-file. Do you know any program running on Ubuntu which can spell check po-files?

  • Moving multiple folders all at once in Outlook

    Constantly at my shop, we are moving Outlook (or other email program) files between computers or Windows Installations, and sometimes, people have HUNDREDS of folders. Is there a quick way to move ALL the folders from multiple data files (*.PST) into one single file, without dragging each and every folder? No, I don't want to move the Inbox folder into the other Inbox folder for the quick move, I want something simple like selecting all folders and moving that way. Does such a method exist in any version of Outlook?
