"interface not found" in WCF Moniker without registration for excel

I'm trying to connect excel to a WCF service, but I can't seem to get even a trivial case to work... I get an Invalid Syntax error when I try and create the proxy in excel. I've attached the visual studio debugger to excel, and get that the real error is "interface not found". I know the service works because the test client created by visual studio is ok... so the problem is in the VBA moniker string. I'm hoping to find one of two things: 1) a correction to my moniker string that will make this work, or 2) an existing sample project to download that has the source for both the host and client that does work. c#: exporting swf object as image to Word

Hello in my Asp.net web page (C# on backend) I use a Repeater, whose items consist of a title and a Flex chart (embedded .swf file). I am trying to export the contents of the Repeater to a Word document. My problem is to convert the SWF files into images and pass it on to the Word document. The swf object has a public function which returns a byteArray representation of itself (public function grabScreen():ByteArray), but I do not know how to call it directly from c#. I have access to the mxml files, so I can make modifications to the swf files, if needed. Unit Testing Refcounted Critical Section Class

Hello all :) I'm looking at a simple class I have to manage critical sections and locks, and I'd like to cover this with test cases. Does this make sense, and how would one go about doing it? It's difficult because the only way to verify the class works is to setup very complicated threading scenarios, and even then there's not a good way to test for a leak of a Critical Section in Win32. Is there a more direct way to make sure it's working correctly? Suppose I want every word starting with a # to generate an event on double click. However, I have the following two problems: If I try to implement a double click event for richTextBox1, I can detect when a word is clicked, however that word is highlighted (selected), which I'd like to avoid. I can deselect it programmatically by selecting the end of the text, but that causes a flicker, which I would like to avoid. What ways are there to do this? The GetCharIndexFromPosition method returns the index of the character that is closest to the cursor. This means that if the only thing my RichTextBox contains is a word starting with a # then the cursor will be a hand no matter where on the rich text control it is. How can I make it so that it is only a hand when it hovers over an actual word or character that is part of a word I'm interested in? The implemented URL detection also partially suffers from this problem. If I enable detection of URLs and only write www.test.com in the rich text editor, the cursor will be a hand as long as it is on or below the link. It will not be a hand if it's to the right of the link however. I'm fine even with this functionality if making the cursor a hand if and only if it's on the text proves to be too difficult. I'm guessing I'll have to resort to some sort of Windows API calls, but I don't really know where to start. I am using Visual Studio 2008 and I would like to implement this myself. Update: The flickering problem would be solved if I could make it so that no text is selectable through double clicking, only through dragging the mouse cursor. Is this easier to achieve? Because I don't really care if one can select text or not by double clicking in this case.

Win32: IProgressDialog will not disappear until you mouse over it.

i'm using the Win32 progress dialog. The damnest thing is that when i call: progressDialog.StopProgressDialog(); it doesn't disappear. It stays on screen until the user moves her mouse over it - then it suddenly disappers. The symptom is similar to what Raymond Chen described once, which has to do with the incorrect use of PeekMessage followed by MsgWaitForMultipleObjects: "Sometimes my program gets stuck and reports one fewer record than it should. I have to jiggle the mouse to get the value to update. After a while longer, it falls two behind, then three..." But that would mean that the failure is in IProgressDialog, since it fails equally well on CLR .NET WinForms and native Win32 code.

ngGrid reusable filter AngularJS

I have a business requirement that I filter a boolean value in my ngGrid. The filter has three states: only true, only false and both. Filtering like this seems to be a common enough use case that I should refactor that functionality out of my code for re use (possibly in a directive/filter?). I'd like to know how I can go about pulling out the customFilter function in my controller and make it so that I can pass the filter a property name on which to filter, and a value for selectedFilterOption. The code currently works, but I feel like this is a good chance to get better at angular :). WPF Xaml Custom Styling Selected Item Style in a ListBox

I have a list box that scrolls images horizontally. I have the following XAML I used blend to create it. It originally had a x:Key on the Style TaregetType line, MSDN said to remove it, as I was getting errors on that. Now I'm getting this error: Error 3 Operation is not valid while ItemsSource is in use. Access and modify elements with ItemsControl.ItemsSource instead. I don't understand how to apply all of this junk that way, I've tried several thing, nothing is working. My goal is to have the selected item's background be white, not blue. Seems like a lot of work for something so small! jQuery programmatically removing validation highlighting

The form has two check boxes (cbDeclined & cbIsOOfFac), two text fields and a drop down (txtHeight, txtWeight, ddlDevice). If either check box is checked, then the other controls are disabled and the rules for the other do no apply. The user clicks on either cbDeclined & cbIsOOfFac. The highlight is NOT going away. I am trying to figure out how to get the highlighting around the height and drop down to go away. I tried to create a fully working jsFiddler, but I cannot get anything to work, though everything looks correct. here is the link (I cannot post links, so I expanded it a bit) jsfiddle dot net/scarleton/9hDZQ/12/ If you remove the last /12/, you will see my first version that is a cut/paste from the real thing. Per a suggestion I tried adding $('form').valid(); a number of places. When I added it to the end of the UpdateTextBoxes() function, they started out highlighted, not what I want. When I added it after the click() event of either of the radio button, the text would go away, but the actual controls stayed highlighted. It looks like the function on the required property of the rule is not fully working, maybe. What is really interesting is this: When I enter a height, click , then weight and device are highlighted and have the error message under them. When I click on one of the radio buttons, the text goes away, but the highlight does not. But... The height is NOT highlighted, it stays normal.

Need help to debug application using .Net and MySQL

What advice can you give me on how to track down a bug I have while inserting data into MySQL database with .Net? The error message is: MySql.Data.MySqlClient.MySqlException: Duplicate entry '26012' for key 'StockNumber_Number_UNIQUE' Reviewing of the log proves that StockNumber_Number of 26012 has not been inserted yet. Products in use. Visual Studio 2008. mysql.data.dll 6.0.4.0. Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit and Windows 2003 32 bit. Custom built ORM framework (have source code). Importing data from Access 2003 database. The code works fine for 3000 - 5000 imports. The record being imported that causes the problem in a full run works fine if just importing by itself. I've also seen the error on other records if I sort the data to be imported a different way. Have tried import with and without transactions. Have logged the hell out of the system. Hi! I have a problem with a WCF service, which tries to serialize too much data. From the trace I get an error which says that the maximum number of elements that can be serialized or unserialized is '65536', try to increment the MaxItemsInObjectGraph quota. So I went and modified this value, but it is just ignored (the error is the same, with the same number). All this is server-side. I am calling the service via wget for the moment. Generate JFreeChart in servlet

I'm trying to generate graphs using JFreeChart. I added record in web.xml, installed jfreechart library. Compiled servlet. wpf exit thread automatically when application closes

Hi, I have a main wpf window and one of its controls is a user control that I have created. this user control is an analog clock and contains a thread that update hour, minute and second hands. Initially it wasn't a thread, it was a timer event that updated the hour, minutes and seconds but I have changed it to a thread because the application do some hard work when the user press a start button and then the clock don't update so I changed it to a thread. C# RSA Encrypt / Decrypt Problem

Hi All, Im having a problem with C# encrypting and decrypting using RSA. I have developed a web service that will be sent sensitive financial information and transactions. What I would like to be able to do is on the client side, Encrypt the certain fields using the clients RSA Private key, once it has reached my service it will decrypt with the clients public key. At the moment I keep getting a "The data to be decrypted exceeds the maximum for this modulus of 128 bytes." exception. I have not dealt much with C# RSA cryptography so any help would be greatly appreciated. powermock : ProcessBuilder redirectErrorStream giving nullPointerException

I am using powermock to mock some native command invocation using process builder. the strange thing is these test pass sometimes and fail sometimes giving a NPE. Jquery calendar and tab sliding div clash...

Hey all, i am trying my best to figure out another way around this problem i seem to have encountered. On my website i have a jquery calendar and also a jquery div tab slider (this: http://www.queness.com/resources/html/tabmenu/jquery-tabbed-menu-queness.html). The problem comes into play with the DIV tag. The calender loads up inside a DIV with a id of 'calender'. The CSS for the tabs have the DIV hidden: CSS: .boxBody div {display:none;} .boxBody div.show {display:block;} .boxBody #category a {display:block;} And because of that, the calender never shows on the page. However, if i comment out that css code above, it shows up but does not cover each section as it should. PHP Dynamic Count & Limit Menu items

Hello, I want to modify this code which works pretty good but (or I don't know because I'm new with php) I can't limit the number of li's displayed for the main elements in the menu. The actual code will echo all elements it finds, I want to limit the times <li><a href='{$sLink}' {$sOnclick} target='_parent'>{$sPictureRep}{$sText}</a> this line is echoed.. let's say to echo just the first 15 elements + a "MORE" button under which to display the rest of the elements as sub-menus.. (this is a 2 level horizontal menu). Can someone please help me? I really tried a lot but I'm not an expert in PHP..
