  Hello there I have developed an application in vb.net2008 and database sqlserver. Now i want to ignore the database(it has 1 table as customer(name,password,hour,minute)) as i dont want my client to install sqlserver separately or other overheads. I am planning to do the whole using file handling in vb.net(manipulating the data in files itself eg change username, password etc). As I am new i dont actually know the proper way and of course need assistance. Kindly help out. Regards Indranil

  Hello, I am trying to send something to serial port (r232) with PHP. I am using this class: http://www.phpclasses.org/browse/package/3679.html The problem is that I am allowed to send only 1 byte. But if I send something like "1", I am actually sending 49 (ASCII for 1). Instead of send("1"), I tried with send(1) but it is no good, because this is integer which has 2 bytes. So is there a way to send a "real" char, not ASCII equivalent?

  Hello! I have problems with Darwin Streaming server 5.5.5 on Debian. When i'm trying to open some stream, for ex. rtsp://sample.com/sample_100kbit.mp4 player reports it can't load stream and breaks connection. "Access History" section reports file was requested, so, at least initial connection is working, but nothing more. What can be wrong and what to check?

My problem is that when I have finished to type my login and change the focus to the password field, there is a cursor on the login field and on the password field, but the focus is on the password field, so my question is, how can I make the cursor disappear on the login field ?   hello all i have my splash screen which i want to show in landscape mode and all other screen in potrait mode. My root view controller is acting as a splash screen i am writing this code in viewdidload method [[UIDevice currentDevice] setOrientation:UIInterfaceOrientationLandscapeRight]; But this code is not working and shows me that UIdevice may not respond to setorentation please guide me that how could i change the orentation for only first splash screen and also other screen should be in potrait mode

  Hello, I'm curious, whether there is any way to print formated numpy.arrays, e.g., in the way similar to this: x = 1.23456 print '%.3f' % x If I want to print the numpy.array of floats, it prints several decimals, often in 'scientific' format, which is rather hard to read even for low-dimensional arrays. However, numpy.array apparently has to be printed as a string, i.e., with %s. Is there any solution ready for this purpose? Many thanks in advance :-)

  hello, i'm currently looking at a little 3rd-party javascript library and i see a lot of "sign-prefixed" variables in it: function_call(+value); i know, that you can swap the sign, if you prefix a variable with '-', but why to prefix something with a '+' -- it doesn't do anything to the value, no? thanks in advance!
