    Hi, I would like to read a remote text file called posts.txt on my website. An example of the insides of the posts.txt file would be this: <div style="width : 300px; position : relative"><font face="helvetica, geneva, sans serif" size="6"><b>2</b></font><font face="helvetica, geneva, sans serif" size="4"><i> scored by iSDK</i></font><br><img src="Bar.png" /></div><div style="width : 300px; position : relative"><font face="helvetica, geneva, sans serif" size="6"><b>2</b></font><font face="helvetica, geneva, sans serif" size="4"><i> scored by martin</i></font><br><img src="Bar.png" /></div> What I wanted to know is how can I get the score, and scored by text from the .txt file? The score is (in this case) the: <b>2</b>, and the scored by text in this case would be: "scored by iSDK". Any code telling me how to do this is twice as helpful! Thanks in advanced XcodeDev

    I have a table in a fieldset that is not displayed properly (overflow) because of a long file name that I cannot wrap.     I have series of files like this: foo1.txt.gz foo2.txt.gz bar1.txt.gz ..etc.. and a tabular format file that describe those files: foo1 - Explain foo1 foo2 - Explain foo2 bar1 - Explain bar1 ..etc.. What I want to do is to have a website with a simple search bar and allow people to type foo1 or just foo and finally return the gzipped file(s) and the related explanation of the file(s). The thing about it is that it assigns a certain width to it that makes texts of different widths´ spacing look weird on screen. I didn't have troubles making it return false if the submitted value was 0 but I cannot make it return false when it's the string 'Cambia de ciudad".     I want to add a $ symbol before a users entry into a text field without actually submitting the $ when the user clicks submit. Additionally, I need to prohibit the user from entering anything but numerical values in to the text input. I know about the JQuery input mask (http://www.conetrees.com/2009/03/blog/jquery-masked-input-plugin-increase-usability-for-masked-format-input-fields) but this plugin requires you to set the exact number of digits/letters that the user is supposed to enter, which is no good for my current project. Can anyone think of a way to accomplish what I have described above?

  • Why can't I use relative URLs with IE7?

    Hello everyone. I've been Googling for a while and can't seem to find an answer to this question. My problem is as follows: For my jquery, I need my links to be relative rather than absolute. My PHP is set to return relative urls and everything is working fine, until I test it in IE7. For some reason, IE7 keeps changing my relative urls to abosulute, which breaks my js script. Is this normal? Is there a way to get around it? For example: IE8, Chrome, Firefox, Safari etc - <a href='/page' onclick='click_handler(this);return false;'>clicky</a> IE7 - <a href='http://www.myurl.com/page' onclick='click_handler(this);return false;'>clicky</a>

  • height: auto does not work to automatically resize header

    I'm trying to do a simple thing in CSS I have a header tag and inside that a couple of h tags. So, in order to have a responsive design I do height:auto; inside the header tag, so it will automatically stretch to contain the h tags. Right? But does not work, headeris just a line in the top of the page. t should stretch to contain the titles, right? What am I missing? Is it a good practice to put CSS in the h tags and not style header at all? So h tags will be like the header in user's eye? Thanks in advence Check it here
