    To have a general-purpose documentation system that can extract inline documentation of multiple languages, a parser for each language is needed. A parser generator (which actually doesn't have to be that complete or efficient) is thus needed. http://antlr.org/ is a nice parser generator that already has a number of grammars for popular languages. Are there better alternatives i.e. simpler ones that support generating parsers for even more languages out-of-the-box?

    I am looking for a (preferably pure) python library to do AES 256 encription and decryption. This library should support the CBC cipher mode and use PKCS7 padding according to the answer to an earlier question of mine. The library should at least work on Mac OS X (10.4) and Windows XP. Ideally just by dropping it into the source directory of my project. I have seen this by Josh Davis, but am not sure about how good it is and if it does the required CBC cipher mode... Scanning the source suggests it doesn't

  • Visual Studio 2008 marks solution files as version 10.00

    Hi After trying out VS2010b2 also my VS2008 installation changes the versions of solution and project files to "Version 10.00". The MSBuild.exe on our CI Server does not support them. Is there a way to make VS2008 generate sln files with version number 9.00 again? I know, i can fix that manually. But each time I open a solution, the version gets changed back, which is annoying.     I have a project and it needs to access a large amount of proprietary data in ASP.NET. This was done on the Linux/PHP by loading the data in shared memory. I was wondering if trying to use Memory Mapped Files would be the way to go, or if there is a better way with better .NET support. I was thinking of using the Data Cache but not sure of all the pitfalls of size of data being saved in the Cache.

    Hello, I'm using pthreads-win32 for portable threading support for windows. At least, according to the documentation pthreads-win32 should work with MSVC and even MSVC builds provided. But I don't know if the library is tested with latest MSVC compilers like MSVC-2008 and if it is supported under 64bit windows. Does anybody aware of any issues with this library? Note: Do not even try to recommend using Boost.Thread, I'm not interested in. And I'm familiar with Boost.Thread library

  • How do I get the entity framework to work with archive flags?

    I'm trying to create a set of tables where we don't actually delete them, but rather we set the archive flags instead. When we delete an entity, it shouldn't be deleted, it should be marked as archived instead. What are the programming patterns to support this? I would also prefer not to have to roll out my own stored procs for every table that have these archive flags if there is another solution.

    I have a Pylons project and a SQLAlchemy model that implements schema qualified tables: class Hockey(Base): __tablename__ = "hockey" __table_args__ = {'schema':'winter'} hockey_id = sa.Column(sa.types.Integer, sa.Sequence('score_id_seq', optional=True), primary_key=True) baseball_id = sa.Column(sa.types.Integer, sa.ForeignKey('summer.baseball.baseball_id')) This code works great with Postgresql but fails when using SQLite on table and foreign key names (due to SQLite's lack of schema support) sqlalchemy.exc.OperationalError: (OperationalError) unknown database "winter" 'PRAGMA "winter".table_info("hockey")' () I'd like to continue using SQLite for dev and testing. Is there a way of have this fail gracefully on SQLite?
