  • BFS traversal of directed graph from a given node

    Hi, My understanding of basic BFS traversal for a graph is: BFS { Start from any node . Add it to que. Add it to visited array While(que is not empty) { remove head from queue. Print node; add all unvisited direct subchilds to que; mark them as visited } } However, if we have to traverse a DIRECTED graph from a given node and not all nodes are accessible from the given node [directly or indirectly] how do we use BFS for the same. Can you please explain in this graph as well: a= b = d = e = d a= c = d Here if the starting node is b , we never print a and c. Am I missing something in the algorithm. P.S: I used "HashMap adj = new HashMap();" to create the adjacencey list to store graph Any pointers are greatly appreciated. Thanks.

    Some one please help me with this. I am developing an iPhone app and have stared with View Based Application. I have buttons on my root view screen to take user to other views with their own nibs and classes. On one of those views I need to display a table getting data from SQLite database and then display detail of the selected item depending on the selection from the table. At later stage I also need to add forms to add data. Now, how to add a Navigation Controller in that view for drill down? Can we convert a View Controller to Navigation Controller just by adding a Navigation bar at the top?

    I've created a Fedora 15 liveCD that is customized for my application. On the first laptop I tried, it didn't have the driver for the Broadcom BCM43224 wireless network interface. This software will be used on a wide variety of laptops. Is there are reasonable way to add drivers for the all most common wireless and wired network interfaces available today? If it's not much trouble I'd also like to add support for the common 3G/4G USB dongles.

    I've been playing around with Entity Framework v2 and added some code to insert new entity with many to many relationship , lets say this entity is called meeting. I add hours to meeting : meeting.Hours.Add(hour); and I get different errors on different occasions On Update : Cannot insert the value NULL into column 'Meetings_Id', table 'Plan.dbo.MeetingHour'; column does not allow nulls. INSERT fails. The statement has been terminated. On Inset : An item with the same key has already been added. But the tricky party is that if I add this manually trough SQL Server Management Studio , I can update the entity with the same value , clearing it first (meeting.Hour.Clear()) Can't see what could be the problem , maybe entity model isn't mapped correctly ?

    Hi all, I need help on web.config transformation as I'm trying to do something not documented. My web.config has an empty connectionStrings element. In debug, I'd like the transformation tool to add a configSource="file.local" to the connectionStrings element. But in release, I'd like it to add a connectionString element. So, to summarize, I have <connectionStings> </connectionStings> And I need to transform it to <connectionStings configSource="file.local"> </connectionStings> And to: <connectionStings> <clear/> <add name="Abc" connectionSting="bla bla bla" provider="xxx" /> </connectionStings> Anybody has done this yet?     Can I invoke an option on a COM Add-in from a VBA macro in Word or Excel 2007? The COM Add-in was written using VSTO – it adds a custom ribbon tab with a number of options that I want to execute from a VBA macro. I can reference the add-in using Application.COMAddIns("MyAddinName") but I can’t find an option to invoke an option. I’ve also played around with the Application.CommandBars collection, and can see that you can execute an option using CommandBarControl.Execute but I can’t find my command bar in the Application.CommandBars collection. Does anyone know if this is possible?

  • multiple polls with email submit function

    I want to add a 4 sets of polls that each have around 4 radio buttons each for answers - then i would like to add an 'enter your email address' field below these polls. Finally I would like the submit button after the email field to 'submit' the data from the polls and the email address entered - so only one submit button. Just to make things even better, I would like some form of validation, that will not pass the form unless all 4 polls have a radio button pressed and a valid email. All this is then to go into a MySQL database. I have the email validation bit nailed - so thats fine.. it's the multiple polls bit thats getting me - I cannot get it to work?! Do i have to effectively add 5 forms? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Is there a way I can remove the pager and re-add it? Or is there some other way to achieve this?

    I'm learning Composite Application Block and I've hit a rock about services. I have my shell application in its own solution, and of course a test module in its own solution (developed and testing completely independent and external of the shell solution). If I created a service named "Sql Service", would I need to put this in it's own library, so that both the shell, and the module know the types? If that's the case, then for good practice, should I put the service project in the shell solution, or external just like a module (in it's own solution), even though it's not loaded as a module? Then, what about references? Should the shell reference this directly, add then add the service? Or load it as a module and add the service? I have a lot of confusion on where I should create my services, and if I should reference or load as modules..

    I have a link shortener system (Yourls) set up so you can go to the short url with ?url=[xyz] (where [xyz] is the url you wan to shorten) added to the end will shorten the URL. I want to add a link to a separate page (on my MediaWiki wiki) that shortens the permalink of the page that it is on. I need to add the button to my template in a way that will add the URL of the current page to the link. MediaWiki is a PHP platform, so that is preferred (but JavaScript is fine too). How can I do this? (I apologize if this is confusing)

When reselecting, Visual Studio will automatically add references to System.Deployment, System.Drawing and System.Windows.Forms C# Create a new project with the Empty Project template (Visual C# - Windows) Go to the project properties, and change the Application type to any of the choices. Visual studio will not add references. Question Is there a way to change this behaviour for Visual Basic?

    I need to add a couple of columns to a table that is a part of a replication set. It is not a constraint coulumn or a part of any article filters and it allows NULL.   • Best practice for sharing code between OSX and IOS app

    I am creating an iOS version of an existing OSX app and am wondering what the best practices are for sharing code between the two. The code in question only depends on the foundation framework and the Sqlite dynamic library, so it should compile and run fine on both platforms. It seems to me there are three possible options: Create a single project with and OSX and an IOS targets, add source files to each target as appropriate. Create two separate projects for the OSX and IOS apps, put shared code in a common location in the workspace and add it as reference to both projects. Create three projects: OSX app, IOS app and a shared static library with an OSX and an IOS targets; add each library target to the respective application. Is there any reason one of the above approaches may be better than the other two? If not, option 2 seems to be the simplest by far.

    I am given a number N, and i must add some numbers from the array V so that they wil be equal. V is consisting of numbers that are all powers of 3: N = 17 S = 0 V = 1 3 9 27 81 .. I should add numbers from V to N and S in order to make them equal. The solution to the example above is : 17 + 1 + 9 = 27, 27, 1 and 9 are taken from V, a number from V can be taken only once, and when taken it's removed from V. I tried sorting V and then adding the biggest numbers from V to S until S has reached N, but it fails on some tests when it's like: N = 7 S = 0 V = 1 3 9 27 So the solution will be: 7 + 3 = 9 + 1 In examples like this i need to add numbers both to N and S, and also select them so they become equal. Any idea of solving this ? Thanks.

    Hello The venerable EccoPro offered a great in-place outliner to organize tasks into sub-tasks, and add a Due Date to any item so that they would be also displayed in the Calendar (and in a Palm pilot if the used had one). It seems like Outlook only supports a single-level task list: Is there an add-on to Outlook to do this, or another application than Outlook provided it's also capable of syncing with a BlackBerry?     I am trying to pass an href id to load() in JQuery, I can see from the alert the returned id# 960, so I know the id value is getting past I just don't know how to append the load url, well the $("#refreshme_"+add_id) is the important part, I use that to refresh the unique div id in the page assigned by the database pull, so it would be looking for id="refreshme_960". My simple example that is obviously not working. I want to refresh the db select part of the page showing the new list of cars.     Lets say you have a DataTable that has columns of "id", "cost", "qty": DataTable dt = new DataTable(); dt.Columns.Add("id", typeof(int)); dt.Columns.Add("cost", typeof(double)); dt.Columns.Add("qty", typeof(int)); And it's keyed on "id": dt.PrimaryKey = new DataColumn[1] { dt.Columns["id"] }; Now what we are interested in is the cost per quantity. So, in other words if you had a row of: id | cost | qty ---------------- 42 | 10.00 | 2 The cost per quantity is 5.00. My question then is, given the preceeding table, assume it's constructed with many thousands of rows, and you're interested in the top 3 cost per quantity rows. The information needed is the id, cost per quantity. You cannot use LINQ. In SQL it would be trivial; how BEST (most efficiently) would you accomplish it in C# without LINQ?
