  • Delete files from blobstore using file serving URL

    In my app (GWT on GAE) we are storing on our database the serving URL that is stored on blobstore. When user selects one of these files and clicks "delete", we need to delete the file from blobstore. This is our code, but it is not deleting the file at all: public void remove(String fileURL) { BlobstoreService blobstoreService = BlobstoreServiceFactory.getBlobstoreService(); String key = getBlobKeyFromURL(box.getImageURL()); BlobKey blobKey = new BlobKey(key); blobstoreService.delete(blobKey); } Where fileURL looks like this: http://lh6.ggpht.com/d5VC0ywISACeJRiC3zkzaZug-tPsaI_LGt93-e_ATGTCwnGLao4yTWjLVppQ And getBlobKeyFromURL() would return what is after the last "/", in this example: d5VC0ywISACeJRiC3zkzaZug-tPsaI_LGt93-e_ATGTCwnGLao4yTWjLVppQ Could you please advice?   • Error opening streamreader because file is used by another process

    I am developing an application to read an excel spreadsheet, validate the data and then map it to a sql table. The process is to read the file via a streamreader, validate the data, manually make corrections to the excel spreadsheet, validate again -- repeat this process until all data validates. If the excel spreadsheet is open, then when I attempt to read the data via a streamreader I get an error, "The process cannot access the file ... because it is being used by another process." Is there a way to remove the lock or otherwise read the data into a streamreader without having to open and close excel each time?

    Hello, I am trying to get a .jar file onto my mobile device. I have written a j2me application and I want to get it onto my phone. I have developed it in eclipse galileo and I export my project folder to a jar. When I try to download the jar file from the internet onto my phone I get an "incorrect description" error. Does anyone know how to get a j2me application onto a mobile device or why I may be getting this error? Thanks in advance.

  • Compiling flex file into dll.

    Hi, I've got a lexer created with flex (cygwin). Normally I compile it to an .exe file. For the newest project I need a lexer to use in a bigger C# program running on Windows XP. Of course I can execute a file using System.Diagnostics.Process. But it is not the best solution for me as I want that program to run on several machines.   • Redirect print in Python: val = print(arg) to output mixed iterable to file

    So lets say I have an incredibly nested iterable of lists/dictionaries. I would like to print them to a file as easily as possible. Why can't I just redirect print to a file? val = print(arg) gets a SyntaxError. Is there a way to access stdinput? And why does print take forever with massive strings? Bad programming on my side for outputting massive strings, but quick debugging--and isn't that leveraging the strength of an interactive prompt? There's probably also an easier way than my gripe. Has the hive-mind an answer?

    i am learning c programming. I am trying to make my own program similar to ls command but with less options.what i am doing is taking input directory/file name as argument and then gets all directory entry with dirent struct(if it is directory) . After it i use stat() to take all information of the file but here is my problem when i use write() to print these value its fine but when i want to print these with printf() i get warninng : format ‘%ld’ expects type ‘long int’, but argument 2 has type ‘__uid_t’. I don't know what should use at place of %ld and also for other special data types.

    I'm working with the iPhone SpeakHere example, and I would like to be able to play audio from either the mic (as in the example) or from a wav file. I have working code to play from a particular wav file, which looks like this: NSString *path = [[NSBundle mainBundle] pathForResource:@"basketBall" ofType:@"wav"]; AVAudioPlayer* theAudio=[[AVAudioPlayer alloc] initWithContentsOfURL:[NSURL fileURLWithPath:path] error:NULL]; theAudio.delegate = self; [theAudio play]; So I'm fine with actually getting the wav to play in the application (I can hook it up to a button, etc.) but I would like it to also behave the same way pushing the "Play" button does after recorded speech, in that it should be connected to the same visualization (which I have modified quite a bit, but essentially shows the current volume, among other things).     I know that it is possible to create .xls files from Delphi using ADO, OLE automation with Excel and even using several commercial libraries. My requirement now is not just creating a new .xls file and adding data to it but in addition protecting it with a password against editing. I guess this would be possible using OLE automation but that would require an Excel installation on the computer and also add all the potential hassle of OLE automation which I would like to avoid. Does any of the other solutions provide the option of password protecting the file? (Yes, I know this is far from secure, but the customer requests it. Just in case it matters: I am using Delphi 2007.)

  • Fastest way to compress a database or .bak file and transfer it

    As per the question title. I wonder if there are special programmes or commands that makes zipping up a .bak file and transferring it super quick. I read abour xp_cmdshell here but I'm not sure about the speed. My .bak file is about 12 gigs at the moment. Related to this is the possibility of using Red Gate's SQL Data Compare to just transfer the differential data across the network pipeline but I have never used SQL Data Compare before and I'm not sure how it goes about doing INSERTS on tables with Primary Keys and such. Also, not sure about the speed. Does anyone have any experience with this programme or similar programmes? Cheers!

  • Best language to use when exporting an excel file

    I want to write a macro program that takes in data from a text file and then arranges it in a specific manner in an excel file. I don't know which language has the best features for dealing with Excel. I prefer java, and I see someone made an api called JExcelApi, but I'm not sure about it's capabilities. I would like to be able to generate a graph automatically in excel based on the data in a certain column. Is this possible in any language? I would guess that Microsoft's VB or C# would have an advanced feature such as this, but I'm not sure. Thanks.

I use the Paperclip plugin for upload management. The problem is I do not know how to upload a file via JSON.     Ive made an address book. I can currently write to the arraylist and save it back to the .buab file, but I cant delete from the arraylist and export it back to the .buab file? Im pretty much stuck on this. Im able to retrive contacts from the .buab and scroll through them using the JTextFields and buttons ive created. Any help will be dearly appreciated. Ive set up seprate classes for all operations (newcontacts, nextcontact etc). If you need the code posted let me know.. Cheers Dave

    Hi All, I am listening for Directory and disk changes in a COCOA project using FSEvents. I need to get events when a root folder is renamed or deleted. So, I passed kFSEventStreamCreateFlagWatchRoot while creating the FSEventStream.But even if I delete or rename the root folder I am not getting corresponding FSEventStreamEventFlags. Any idea what could possibly be the issue. I am listening for changes in a USB mounted device. I used both FSEventStreamCreate and FSEventStreamCreateRelativeToDevice. One thing I notices is when I try with FSEventStreamCreate I get the following error message while creating FSEventStream: (CarbonCore.framework) FSEventStreamCreate: watch_all_parents: error trying to add kqueue for fd 7 (/Volumes/NO NAME; Operation not supported) But with FSEventStreamCreateRelativeToDevice there are no errors but still not getting kFSEventStreamEventFlagRootChanged in event flags. Also, while creation using FSEventStreamCreateRelativeToDevice apple say's if I want to listen to root path changes pass emty string "". But I am not able to listen to root path changes by passing empty string. But when I pass "/" it works. But even for "/" I do not get any proper FSEventStreamEventFlags.   • iphone scanning a dat file for data

    I am trying to remake a program I have made in C# in OBJ-C.In C# I used streamreader to search the data file for the line I am looking for then convert that line into a string that I can work with. I have looked at NSScanner but I'm not sure if thats quite waht I'm looking for but I'm by no means a cocoa expert. All I would like to be able to do is have it search a data file for an occurance of a string, then when/if it finds an occurance of that string, it returns the line that string was found on as a string. Any ideas?

  • FOR XML PATH Query results to file with SSIS

    In SSMS I've gotten my for xml path query written and it's beautiful. I put it in an "Execute SQL Task" in the Control Flow, set the resultset to XML. Now how to I get the results into an actual xml file that I can turn around and FTP to a third party? This should have been so easy! I would put the XML into a variable but we are looking at a HUGE file, possibly 100mb+ Do I need to use a Script Task? (I'd like to avoid that if there is another option.)

  • R.java file not updating with UI element's id

    I added some UI elements to the main.xml file in the res\layout folder and when I try to access them through the call, R.layout.my_uielement, the UI element that I created is not there. Even when I add a new xml file with UI elements, it still doesn't show up in the R.layout class. I have made checked the ids on them and they have the correct format (I think): android:id="@+id/my_button". What could be the problem? Do I need to compile the code first?
