    I have (in the past) written cross-platform (Windows/Unix) applications which, when started from the command line, handled a user-typed Ctrl-C combination in the same way (i.e. to terminate the application cleanly). Is it possible on Windows to send a Ctrl-C/SIGINT/equivalent to a process from another (unrelated) process to request that it terminate cleanly (giving it an opportunity to tidy up resources etc.)?

Before I got request for usage of brackets, I limited usage of operators to avoid ambiguous situations.     I'm trying to assemble a header object for an api request. One of the headers is 'Content-Type'. The hyphen is causing a compile error. Flex is giving me: 1050 - Cannot assign to a non-reference value. I find it spiteful that they enjoy the use of a hyphen in the error message while I hang my head and come here for answers.

    I'm trying to use GData to retrieve the email address, real name, and profile URL of the user that just authorized my site using Google OAuth. We know how to request it using Google's OpenID flow, but the OpenID flow has the severe limitation that we have to ask for a Google Apps user's domain before we know where to send them to log in. At least using OAuth (or even AuthSub), the user gets prompted for which of their Google accounts to log in.

  • Passing JSP parameter to javascript won't work in IE8!

    Could really use with some help here... I've got a servlet that generates an XML string (relatively long) which I then pass to a javascript variable in a forwarded jsp file: $(document).ready(function() { ... var itXML = <% out.print((String)request.getAttribute("xml"));% ; ... } This seems to work just fine in Firefox but when I run the same project on IE8 I get a syntax error for this line.     When i reset apache and load my website i get the first error below. I have no idea what the problem is. If i reload the page again (without restarting apache) i get the 2nd error, probably because the first error occurred and BaseUser is the first class/func that Application_Start uses. Why am i getting this load exception? Whats messed up is i tried using mono's VMWare img to debug it and i got the very same exception (until i restarted which now refuses to give me anything but 404 errors).   • Yahoo Web Scrapes: What are the limits?

    We are using a web scraper and have it set up to have a sleep function which has a random function set up (so that it isn't the same time between each scrape) but we are still getting blocked from Yahoo after 20-30 requests. Does any one know if there is a limit (i.e: 20 requests per minutes, 200 an hour) Right now our average between each request is around 3-6 seconds. Thanks for any help

    Hi, I am using xdebug plugin for vim. After making few changes i was able to run debugger but not able to set breakpoints. So, I enabled xdebug.remote_log and below is the log statements corresponding to setting breakpoint. <- breakpoint_set -i 5 -t line -f file:///C:\htdocs\testLocal.php -n 36 - Its issuing request to debugger in proper format only but no idea why debugger is returning "command is not avilable". Please let me know if anything is wrong.

As far as I know it will serve different page requests. But how long will it live when no new request come in? Is there any timeout (maybe configured through IIS) that says when my app will shut down?
