• How do you dynamically allocate memory in Mac OS X assembly?

  I would like to dynamically allocate memory from an assembly program that does not link against the standard C library. Since brk(2) and sbrk(2) are unavailable on Mac OS X (10.6.2), what are the alternatives? (I'm guessing that it involves a Mach call, but there seems to be little documentation around that)

• JQUERY, scrollTo, after scrolling down, the page won't let me scroll up for a second... Y?

  I'm using the following JQUERY to attach an even to a link in the header, which essentially scrolls to the bottom of the page: $('#comment-count-btn').click(function(){ $('html,body').scrollTo('#comment-wrapper', 500); }); Problem is, that it scrolls all the way to the bottom of the page (which is correct), but then when I try to scroll up a tad, the scroll bar jumps, as if it's locked for a little bit. Any ideas?

  I have a fairly simple MS Access Database that contains some metadata about a bunch of documents and a hyperlink field that links to the document on our network drive. However, when I use a SQL INSERT statement to populate the hyperlink field, the value I give it only becomes the display text, not the actual link. How can I make the value a functional hyperlink? I'd think that the hyperlink data type would actually create hyperlinks. I'm using Access 2002 SP3.

However, I'd like to use go routines to implement a really slow (and very parallelizable) bit of code, but it must be callable from python.
