  • Any PHP MVC framework planning to use 5.3 features?

    I would like to get started with PHP, and 5.3 release seems to bring many nice features (namespaces, lambda functions, and many others). I have found some MVC frameworks, and some of them support only PHP 5: PHP Frameworks PHP MVC Frameworks Model–view–controller on Wikipedia but can anyone recommend one of those MVC frameworks that plans to actively use PHP 5.3 features, not just being compatible with PHP 5.3?   • Why is C++ backward compatible with C ? Why isn't there some "pure" C++ language ?

    C and C++ are different languages, blababla we know that. But if those language are different, why is it still possible to use function like malloc or free ? I'm sure there are all sort of dusty things C++ has because of C, but since C++ is another language, why not remove those things to make it a little less bloat and more clean and clear ? Is it because it allows programmers to work without the OO model or because some compilers doesn't support high-level abstract features of C++ ?

    It's been more than an year that i'm developing a new scripting language with its own grammar rules and constructs. I'd like to give the users of this language some minimalistic ide to work with, but i don't want/have time to make one from scratch so i'd like to take one already existing (it has to run on Linux platforms natively, so no windows-only editors plz) and customize it.   • Are there any programmable barcode scanners that can call a webservice?

    I am looking at integrating a C# application with a barcode scanner. The last time I did this was with Delphi 1 (win 3.11) using a scanner that plugged in-line into the keyboard cable. Looking around it appears most scanners are USB based these days and assume they emulate keyboard entry. Anybody know of more sophisticated/programmable scanner that can call a webservice or even just do a basic POST/GET this would eliminate the C# application and the computer to support it?

    Basically i want to discover if a jar implements any number of interfaces wihtout activating or starting the bundle. Is it possible to read the meta data from the meta-inf from an API just like the container does but without activating a bundle ? I want to use OSGi to support plugins of which numerous interfaces will be published and i would like to know which interfaces are implemented by a bundle when the user uploads without activating the bundle etc.

They replied saying that it is only possible with an SSH-tunnel. Is it possible to connect to a MS SQL database in Visual Studio using an SSH-tunnel?     Hi, From what I understand, in order to achieve MSMQ load-balancing, one must use a technology such as NLB. And in order to achieve MSMQ high-availability, one must cluster the related Biztalk Host (and hence the underlying servers have to be in a cluster themselves). Yet, according to Microsoft Documentation, NLB and FailOver Clustering technologies are not compatible.
