  • DataTrigger only works on first TabItem in TabControl

    - by JustusJonas
    Hi! It seems like a bug in WPF, but maybe someone has an answers to this. I have a DataTrigger for an editable ComboBox. It works on the first TabItem of my TabControl, but not on the second. If you switch the first with the second TabItem, the "second" will work. The same effect happens when you give the style exactly to the ComboBox (ComboBox.Stye ...). <Window xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml/presentation" xmlns:x="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml" x:Class="MainWindow" x:Name="Window" Title="MainWindow" Width="640" Height="480"> <Window.Resources> <Style TargetType="{x:Type ComboBox}"> <Setter Property="Height" Value="25" /> <Setter Property="Width" Value="125" /> <Style.Triggers> <DataTrigger Binding="{Binding ElementName=PART_EditableTextBox, Path=IsFocused}" Value="True"> <Setter Property="BitmapEffect"> <Setter.Value> <OuterGlowBitmapEffect GlowColor="Red" GlowSize="5" /> </Setter.Value> </Setter> </DataTrigger> </Style.Triggers> </Style> </Window.Resources> <Grid x:Name="LayoutRoot"> <TabControl> <TabItem Header="TabItem1"> <Grid> <ComboBox IsEditable="True"/> </Grid> </TabItem> <TabItem Header="TabItem2"> <Grid> <ComboBox IsEditable="True"/> </Grid> </TabItem> </TabControl> </Grid>

  • [JavaScript-CSS-Firefox] Cannot change borderColor of TD

    - by Tadeus Prastowo
    Using JS to set the background color of a TD is fine. But, setting the border color is problematic in FF 3.0.18 although IE 6 doesn't experience this. FF is problematic in that it requires the TD element to have an attribute style initialized to border-style: solid. Without that, setting border color of a TD won't work. Is this known bug? How do I set the border color without having to set style attribute as well as the initialization value? I know another trick of setting the class attribute instead of setting the border color directly. Is this an indication that somehow TD hates having its border color set dynamically? Is this known as well? The problematic code is below (the goal is find out why setting the border color of simple truth 1 does not work while simple truth 3 works when I employ the trick described above): <html> <head> <title>Quirks FF 3.0.18</title> <style type="text/css"> table { border-collapse: collapse; } </style> <script type="text/javascript"> function changeBgColor() { document.getElementById('simple').style.backgroundColor='yellow'; document.getElementById('simple2').style.backgroundColor='yellow'; document.getElementById('simple3').style.backgroundColor='yellow'; } function quirk(id) { var x = document.getElementById(id); x.style.border = '2px solid red'; } </script> </head> <body> <input type="button" onclick="changeBgColor()" value="Change background color"/> <input type="button" onclick="quirk('simple')" value="Change border color 1"/> <input type="button" onclick="quirk('simple2')" value="Change border color 2"/> <input type="button" onclick="quirk('simple3')" value="Change border color 3"/> <table> <tr><td id="simple">Simple truth 1</td></tr> </table> <table> <tr><td><span id="simple2">Simple truth 2</span></td></tr> <table> <tr><td id="simple3" style="border-style: solid">Simple truth 3</td></tr> </table> </body> </html>

  • Paypal IPN Handler for Cart

    - by kimmothy16
    Hey everyone! I'm using a Paypal add to cart button for a simple ecommerce website. I had a Paypal IPN handler written in PHP that was successfully working for 'Buy it Now' buttons and purchasing one item at a time. I would run a database query each time to update the store's inventory to reflect the purchase. Now I'm upgrading this store to a 'cart' version so people could check out with multiple items at a time. Would anyone be able to tell me, in general, how my IPN handler would need to be altered to accommodate this? I'm unsure of what a response from Paypal looks like for a cart purchase as opposed to a buy it now purchase. Thanks, any help or examples of working IPN cart scripts would be very appreciated! My current code is below.. // Paypal POSTs HTML FORM variables to this page // we must post all the variables back to paypal exactly unchanged and add an extra parameter cmd with value _notify-validate // initialise a variable with the requried cmd parameter $req = 'cmd=_notify-validate'; // go through each of the POSTed vars and add them to the variable foreach ($_POST as $key => $value) { $value = urlencode(stripslashes($value)); $req .= "&$key=$value"; } // post back to PayPal system to validate $header .= "POST /cgi-bin/webscr HTTP/1.0\r\n"; $header .= "Content-Type: application/x-www-form-urlencoded\r\n"; $header .= "Content-Length: " . strlen($req) . "\r\n\r\n"; // In a live application send it back to www.paypal.com // but during development you will want to uswe the paypal sandbox // comment out one of the following lines $fp = fsockopen ('www.sandbox.paypal.com', 80, $errno, $errstr, 30); //$fp = fsockopen ('www.paypal.com', 80, $errno, $errstr, 30); // or use port 443 for an SSL connection //$fp = fsockopen ('ssl://www.paypal.com', 443, $errno, $errstr, 30); if (!$fp) { // HTTP ERROR } else { fputs ($fp, $header . $req); while (!feof($fp)) { $res = fgets ($fp, 1024); if (strcmp ($res, "VERIFIED") == 0) { $item_name = stripslashes($_POST['item_name']); $item_number = $_POST['item_number']; $item_id = $_POST['custom']; $payment_status = $_POST['payment_status']; $payment_amount = $_POST['mc_gross']; //full amount of payment. payment_gross in US $payment_currency = $_POST['mc_currency']; $txn_id = $_POST['txn_id']; //unique transaction id $receiver_email = $_POST['receiver_email']; $payer_email = $_POST['payer_email']; $size = $_POST['option_selection1']; $item_id = $_POST['item_id']; $business = $_POST['business']; if ($payment_status == 'Completed') { // UPDATE THE DATABASE }

  • Conflict between Jquery Validate and Asp.net MVC

    - by chobo2
    Hi I am using asp.net mvc 2.0 and jquery validate 1.7 (http://bassistance.de/jquery-plugins/jquery-plugin-validation/) What happens is this. A user can click on a link to edit a product. When a user clicks on which product they want to edit a jquery dialog box appears with a form of textboxes and dropdown lists. These html controls have information filled in them. Say if the user chooses to edit the Ipad product a dialog will appear and one of the form textboxes will have "Ipad" in it. Now this form gets rendered on the server side(the form is in a partial view). When loading the dialog box a ajax request is made to get that partial view and in the response part of the ajax call I do something like $('#EditDialog).html(ajaxresponse).dialog({...}); So I would have something like this rendered in my dialog box <form id="EditProduct"> Product Name: <input type="text" value="IPad" name="ProductName" /> </form> Now my jquery validate would be something like this. $("#EditProduct").validate( { errorContainer: "#Errorbox", errorLabelContainer: "#Errorbox ul", wrapper: "li", rules: { ProductName: "required" } }); So I know this works because I use the same validate for add product and if you try to leave ProductName blank it will show a validation error. Now it does not work with the edit one though and I think I know the reason why but not how to fix it. The value for the textbox is "IPad" this is how the Html.TextBoxFor() renders it. However if a user goes and changes the product name to "Iphone" or blank the value never changes. It is always "Ipad" in the html. So I think when the validate goes and looks it goes oh there is a value already in it. It is valid even though in reality it might be blank. When I post to the server through ajax it gets the right value and the server side validation stops it but my entire clientside validation is rendered useless because of this problem as it will never change the html.

  • Odd behavior in Django Form (readonly field/widget)

    - by jamida
    I'm having a problem with a test app I'm writing to verify some Django functionality. The test app is a small "grade book" application that is currently using Alex Gaynor's readonly field functionality http://lazypython.blogspot.com/2008/12/building-read-only-field-in-django.html There are 2 problems which may be related. First, when I flop the comment on these 2 lines below: # myform = GradeForm(data=request.POST, instance=mygrade) myform = GradeROForm(data=request.POST, instance=mygrade) it works like I expect, except of course that the student field is changeable. When the comments are the shown way, the "studentId" field is displayed as a number (not the name, problem 1) and when I hit submit I get an error saying that studentId needs to be a Student instance. I'm at a loss as to how to fix this. I'm not wedded to Alex Gaynor's code. ANY code will work. I'm relatively new to both Python and Django, so the hints I've seen on websites that say "making a read-only field is easy" are still beyond me. // models.py class Student(models.Model): name = models.CharField(max_length=50) parent = models.CharField(max_length=50) def __unicode__(self): return self.name class Grade(models.Model): studentId = models.ForeignKey(Student) finalGrade = models.CharField(max_length=3) # testbed.grades.readonly is alex gaynor's code from testbed.grades.readonly import ReadOnlyField class GradeROForm(ModelForm): studentId = ReadOnlyField() class Meta: model=Grade class GradeForm(ModelForm): class Meta: model=Grade // views.py def modifyGrade(request,student): student = Student.objects.get(name=student) mygrade = Grade.objects.get(studentId=student) if request.method == "POST": # myform = GradeForm(data=request.POST, instance=mygrade) myform = GradeROForm(data=request.POST, instance=mygrade) if myform.is_valid(): grade = myform.save() info = "successfully updated %s" % grade.studentId else: # myform=GradeForm(instance=mygrade) myform=GradeROForm(instance=mygrade) return render_to_response('grades/modifyGrade.html',locals()) // template <p>{{ info }}</p> <form method="POST" action=""> <table> {{ myform.as_table }} </table> <input type="submit" value="Submit"> </form> // Alex Gaynor's code from django import forms from django.utils.html import escape from django.utils.safestring import mark_safe from django.forms.util import flatatt class ReadOnlyWidget(forms.Widget): def render(self, name, value, attrs): final_attrs = self.build_attrs(attrs, name=name) if hasattr(self, 'initial'): value = self.initial return mark_safe("<span %s>%s</span>" % (flatatt(final_attrs), escape(value) or '')) def _has_changed(self, initial, data): return False class ReadOnlyField(forms.FileField): widget = ReadOnlyWidget def __init__(self, widget=None, label=None, initial=None, help_text=None): forms.Field.__init__(self, label=label, initial=initial, help_text=help_text, widget=widget) def clean(self, value, initial): self.widget.initial = initial return initial

  • Delphi: how to set the length of a RTTI-accessed dynamic array using DynArraySetLength?

    - by conciliator
    I'd like to set the length of a dynamic array, as suggested in this post. I have two classes TMyClass and the related TChildClass defined as TChildClass = class private FField1: string; FField2: string; end; TMyClass = class private FField1: TChildClass; FField2: Array of TChildClass; end; The array augmentation is implemented as var RContext: TRttiContext; RType: TRttiType; Val: TValue; // Contains the TMyClass instance RField: TRttiField; // A field in the TMyClass instance RElementType: TRttiType; // The kind of elements in the dyn array DynArr: TRttiDynamicArrayType; Value: TValue; // Holding an instance as referenced by an array element ArrPointer: Pointer; ArrValue: TValue; ArrLength: LongInt; i: integer; begin RContext := TRTTIContext.Create; try RType := RContext.GetType(TMyClass.ClassInfo); Val := RType.GetMethod('Create').Invoke(RType.AsInstance.MetaclassType, []); RField := RType.GetField('FField2'); if (RField.FieldType is TRttiDynamicArrayType) then begin DynArr := (RField.FieldType as TRttiDynamicArrayType); RElementType := DynArr.ElementType; // Set the new length of the array ArrValue := RField.GetValue(Val.AsObject); ArrLength := 3; // Three seems like a nice number ArrPointer := ArrValue.GetReferenceToRawData; DynArraySetLength(ArrPointer, ArrValue.TypeInfo, 1, @ArrLength); { TODO : Fix 'Index out of bounds' } WriteLn(ArrValue.IsArray, ' ', ArrValue.GetArrayLength); if RElementType.IsInstance then begin for i := 0 to ArrLength - 1 do begin Value := RElementType.GetMethod('Create').Invoke(RElementType.AsInstance.MetaclassType, []); ArrValue.SetArrayElement(i, Value); // This is just a test, so let's clean up immediatly Value.Free; end; end; end; ReadLn; Val.AsObject.Free; finally RContext.Free; end; end. Being new to D2010 RTTI, I suspected the error could depend on getting ArrValue from the class instance, but the subsequent WriteLn prints "TRUE", so I've ruled that out. Disappointingly, however, the same WriteLn reports that the size of ArrValue is 0, which is confirmed by the "Index out of bounds"-exception I get when trying to set any of the elements in the array (through ArrValue.SetArrayElement(i, Value);). Do anyone know what I'm doing wrong here? (Or perhaps there is a better way to do this?) TIA!

  • Clone a DataBound Checked List Box

    - by Buddhi Dananjaya
    Hi I have a DataBound CheckedListBox, I "check" few items on list box(source), then I need to clone it to new Checked List Box(target). It need to have all the data, with checked state. I have tried with following function. It is properly flowing through this function. But finally I can see items on target CheckedListBox but none of the items in target is checked. private void CloneCheckedListBox(CheckedListBox source, CheckedListBox target) { foreach (int checkedItemIndex in source.CheckedIndices) { target.SetItemChecked(checkedItemIndex, true); } } Edit: I have a User control which I have placed on a TabPage, on that User Control there is a "CheckedListBox", I do need to create a new TabPage with the user entered value on selected(current) TabPage(on User Control) So, what I have done is, create a new Tab Page, get a Copy of the User Control calling it's "Clone()" method. In "Clone()" method need to have CheckedListBox cloning feature. Here is my Cloning Code, which is on User Control... public SearchMain Clone() { SearchMain smClone = new SearchMain(); smClone.txtManufacturers.Text = this.txtManufacturers.Text; smClone.udPriceFrom.Value = this.udPriceFrom.Value; smClone.udPriceTo.Value = this.udPriceTo.Value; smClone.chkOld.Checked = this.chkOld.Checked; smClone.chkPrx.Checked = this.chkPrx.Checked; smClone.chkDisc.Checked = this.chkDisc.Checked; smClone.chkStock.Checked = this.chkStock.Checked; smClone.chkFirstDes.Checked = this.chkFirstDes.Checked; smClone.chkFirstPN.Checked = this.chkFirstPN.Checked; smClone.txtSuppPN.Text = this.txtSuppPN.Text; smClone.txtManuPN.Text = this.txtManuPN.Text; smClone.txtManufacturers.Text = this.txtManufacturers.Text; smClone.meDesAND.Text = this.meDesAND.Text; smClone.meDesOR.Text = this.meDesOR.Text; smClone.meDesNOT.Text = this.meDesNOT.Text; smClone.lbManufacSelected.Items.AddRange(this.lbManufacSelected.Items); smClone.lbSearchWithIn.Items.AddRange(this.lbSearchWithIn.Items); **CloneCheckedListBox(this.clbLang, smClone.clbLang);** // CloneCheckedListBox(this.clbTypes, smClone.clbTypes); return smClone; }

  • Search multiple datepicker on same grid

    - by DHF
    I'm using multiple datepicker on same grid and I face the problem to get a proper result. I used 3 datepicker in 1 grid. Only the first datepicker (Order Date)is able to output proper result while the other 2 datepicker (Start Date & End Date) are not able to generate proper result. There is no problem with the query, so could you find out what's going on here? • DataContractSerializer and XSLT not Serializing Class Properties

    - by Russ Clark
    I've written a simple Employee class that I'm trying to serialize to an XDocument and then use XSLT to transform the document to a page that displays both the properties (Name and ID) from the Employee class, and an html form with 2 radio buttons (Approve and Reject) and a submit button. Here is the Employee class: [Serializable, DataContract(Namespace="XSLT_MVC.Controllers/")] public class Employee { [DataMember] public string Name { get; set; } [DataMember] public int ID { get; set; } public Employee() { } public Employee(string name, int id) { Name = name; ID = id; } public XDocument GetDoc() { XDocument doc = new XDocument(); var serializer = new DataContractSerializer(typeof(Employee)); using (var writer = doc.CreateWriter()) { serializer.WriteObject(writer, this); writer.Close(); } return doc; } } And here is the XSLT file: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <xsl:stylesheet version="1.0" xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform" > <xsl:output method="html" indent="yes"/> <xsl:template match="/"> <html> <body> <xsl:value-of select="Employee/Name"/> <br /> <xsl:value-of select="Employee/ID"/> <br /> <form method="post" action="/Home/ProcessRequest?id={Employee/ID}"> <input id="Action" name="Action" type="radio" value="Approved"></input> Approved <br /> <input id="Action" name="Action" type="radio" value="Rejected"></input> Rejected <br /> <input type="submit" value="Submit"></input> </form> </body> </html> </xsl:template> </xsl:stylesheet> When I run this, all I get is the html form with the 2 radio buttons and the submit button, but not the properties from the Employee class. I saw a separate StackOverflow post that said I need to change the <xsl:template match="/"> to match on the namespace of my Employee class like this: <xsl:template match="/XSLT_MVC.Controllers"> but when I do that, now all I get are the Employee properties, and not the html form with the 2 radio buttons and the submit button. Does anyone know what needs to be done so that my transform will select and display both the Employee properties and the html form?

  • Cannot change borderColor of TD

  • Modelling a checkable treeview in the MVVM model

    - by Stephen Stranded
    Hi, I am trying to create a checkable treeview control to list hierarchical data but it does not seem to work. I used the MVVM model example used by in codeplex simplified Treeview using ViewModel but it shows nothing. Here is my code. Please help. I am a newbie to WPF and the MVVM model but i very much want to use it in an urgent application. </UserControl.Resources> <Grid> <StackPanel Height="166"> <TextBlock Text="Please Display this" /> <TreeView ItemsSource="{Binding Classifications}" Height="141"> <TreeView.ItemContainerStyle> <!-- This Style binds a TreeViewItem to a TreeViewItemViewModel. --> <Style TargetType="{x:Type TreeViewItem}"> <Setter Property="IsExpanded" Value="{Binding IsExpanded, Mode=TwoWay}" /> <Setter Property="IsSelected" Value="{Binding IsSelected, Mode=TwoWay}" /> <Setter Property="FontWeight" Value="Normal" /> <Style.Triggers> <Trigger Property="IsSelected" Value="True"> <Setter Property="FontWeight" Value="Bold" /> </Trigger> </Style.Triggers> </Style> </TreeView.ItemContainerStyle> <TreeView.Resources> <HierarchicalDataTemplate DataType="{x:Type local:PropertyTypeViewModel}" ItemsSource="{Binding Children}"> <StackPanel Orientation="Horizontal"> <CheckBox Focusable="false" IsChecked="{Binding isSelected}"></CheckBox> <TextBlock Text="{Binding Classification}" /> </StackPanel> </HierarchicalDataTemplate> <HierarchicalDataTemplate DataType="{x:Type local:PropertyViewModel}" ItemsSource="{Binding Children}" > <StackPanel Orientation="Horizontal"> <CheckBox Focusable="false" IsChecked="{Binding isSelected}"></CheckBox> <TextBlock Text="{Binding PropertyName}" /> </StackPanel> </HierarchicalDataTemplate> <DataTemplate DataType="{x:Type local:LeaseViewModel}"> <StackPanel Orientation="Horizontal"> <CheckBox Focusable="false" IsChecked="{Binding isSelected}"></CheckBox> <TextBlock Text="{Binding TenantName}" /> </StackPanel> </DataTemplate> </TreeView.Resources> </TreeView> </StackPanel> </Grid>

  • Creating thousands of records in Rails

    - by willCosgrove
    Let me set the stage: My application deals with gift cards. When we create cards they have to have a unique string that the user can use to redeem it with. So when someone orders our gift cards, like a retailer, we need to make a lot of new card objects and store them in the DB. With that in mind, I'm trying to see how quickly I can have my application generate 100,000 Cards. Database expert, I am not, so I need someone to explain this little phenomena: When I create 1000 Cards, it takes 5 seconds. When I create 100,000 cards it should take 500 seconds right? Now I know what you're wanting to see, the card creation method I'm using, because the first assumption would be that it's getting slower because it's checking the uniqueness of a bunch of cards, more as it goes along. But I can show you my rake task desc "Creates cards for a retailer" task :order_cards, [:number_of_cards, :value, :retailer_name] => :environment do |t, args| t = Time.now puts "Searching for retailer" @retailer = Retailer.find_by_name(args[:retailer_name]) puts "Retailer found" puts "Generating codes" value = args[:value].to_i number_of_cards = args[:number_of_cards].to_i codes = [] top_off_codes(codes, number_of_cards) while codes != codes.uniq codes.uniq! top_off_codes(codes, number_of_cards) end stored_codes = Card.all.collect do |c| c.code end while codes != (codes - stored_codes) codes -= stored_codes top_off_codes(codes, number_of_cards) end puts "Codes are unique and generated" puts "Creating bundle" @bundle = @retailer.bundles.create!(:value => value) puts "Bundle created" puts "Creating cards" @bundle.transaction do codes.each do |code| @bundle.cards.create!(:code => code) end end puts "Cards generated in #{Time.now - t}s" end def top_off_codes(codes, intended_number) (intended_number - codes.size).times do codes << ReadableRandom.get(CODE_LENGTH) end end I'm using a gem called readable_random for the unique code. So if you read through all of that code, you'll see that it does all of it's uniqueness testing before it ever starts creating cards. It also writes status updates to the screen while it's running, and it always sits for a while at creating. Meanwhile it flies through the uniqueness tests. So my question to the stackoverflow community is: Why is my database slowing down as I add more cards? Why is this not a linear function in regards to time per card? I'm sure the answer is simple and I'm just a moron who knows nothing about data storage. And if anyone has any suggestions, how would you optimize this method, and how fast do you think you could get it to create 100,000 cards? (When I plotted out my times on a graph and did a quick curve fit to get my line formula, I calculated how long it would take to create 100,000 cards with my current code and it says 5.5 hours. That maybe completely wrong, I'm not sure. But if it stays on the line I curve fitted, it would be right around there.)

  • Parse and transform XML with missing elements into table structure

    - by dnlbrky
    I'm trying to parse an XML file. A simplified version of it looks like this: x <- '<grandparent><parent><child1>ABC123</child1><child2>1381956044</child2></parent><parent><child2>1397527137</child2></parent><parent><child3>4675</child3></parent><parent><child1>DEF456</child1><child3>3735</child3></parent><parent><child1/><child3>3735</child3></parent></grandparent>' library(XML) xmlRoot(xmlTreeParse(x)) ## <grandparent> ## <parent> ## <child1>ABC123</child1> ## <child2>1381956044</child2> ## </parent> ## <parent> ## <child2>1397527137</child2> ## </parent> ## <parent> ## <child3>4675</child3> ## </parent> ## <parent> ## <child1>DEF456</child1> ## <child3>3735</child3> ## </parent> ## <parent> ## <child1/> ## <child3>3735</child3> ## </parent> ## </grandparent> I'd like to transform the XML into a data.frame / data.table that looks like this: parent <- data.frame(child1=c("ABC123",NA,NA,"DEF456",NA), child2=c(1381956044, 1397527137, rep(NA, 3)), child3=c(rep(NA, 2), 4675, 3735, 3735)) parent ## child1 child2 child3 ## 1 ABC123 1381956044 NA ## 2 <NA> 1397527137 NA ## 3 <NA> NA 4675 ## 4 DEF456 NA 3735 ## 5 <NA> NA 3735 If each parent node always contained all of the possible elements ("child1", "child2", "child3", etc.), I could use xmlToList and unlist to flatten it, and then dcast to put it into a table. But the XML often has missing child elements. Here is an attempt with incorrect output: library(data.table) ## Flatten: dt <- as.data.table(unlist(xmlToList(x)), keep.rownames=T) setnames(dt, c("column", "value")) ## Add row numbers, but they're incorrect due to missing XML elements: dt[, row:=.SD[,.I], by=column][] column value row 1: parent.child1 ABC123 1 2: parent.child2 1381956044 1 3: parent.child2 1397527137 2 4: parent.child3 4675 1 5: parent.child1 DEF456 2 6: parent.child3 3735 2 7: parent.child3 3735 3 ## Reshape from long to wide, but some value are in the wrong row: dcast.data.table(dt, row~column, value.var="value", fill=NA) ## row parent.child1 parent.child2 parent.child3 ## 1: 1 ABC123 1381956044 4675 ## 2: 2 DEF456 1397527137 3735 ## 3: 3 NA NA 3735 I won't know ahead of time the names of the child elements, or the count of unique element names for children of the grandparent, so the answer should be flexible.

  • Problem getting Java Streams in HP Tandem (Non-Stop)

    - by AndreaG
    Hi. We are porting a simple Java application between Tandem NonStop systems, from G-Series to H-Series. Java version is 1.5.0_02. When performing basic I/O tasks like getting output stream from or opening a client socket, we receive exceptions like java.io.IOException: Value out of range or java.net.SocketException: Value out of range ("value out of range" is Tandem native jargon for, well, quite everything I suppose). Has anybody got similar issues? i.e. I/O corruption while for example messing with JNI? I suppose there is something wrong with the system, but where might it be? Thank you. I cannot figure out the problem with the above matlab code, i doubt it's a problem with my logic since i've tested out this logic in java and it seems to work perfectly well there. The code compiles but the issue is that the results it produces are erroneous. Java Code which works: public static int counter=0; public static boolean isSolution(final int[] board){ for (int i = 0; i < board.length; i++) { for (int j = i + 1; j < board.length; j++) { if (board[i] == board[j]) return false; if (board[i]-board[j] == i-j) return false; if (board[i]-board[j] == j-i) return false; } } return true; } public static void solve(int depth, int[] board){ if (depth == board.length && isSolution(board)) { counter++; } if (depth < board.length) { // try all positions of the next row for (int i = 0; i < board.length; i++) { board[depth] = i; solve(depth + 1, board); } } } public static void main(String[] args){ int n = 8; solve(0, new int[n]); System.out.println(counter); }

  • EntityManagerFactory error on Websphere

    I have a very weird problem. This is weird and not very logical. But if someone has faced this or has any idea on what might be causing this Please!! help The persistence.xml for the persitence unit has very little <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <persistence xmlns="http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/persistence" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xsi:schemaLocation="http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/persistence http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/persistence/persistence_1_0.xsd" version="1.0"> <persistence-unit name="ConfigAPPPersist"> <!-- commented code --> </persistence-unit> </persistence>

  • JQGrid and JQuery Autocomplete

    - by Neff
    When implementing JQGrid 4.3.0, Jquery 1.6.2, and JQuery UI 1.8.16 Ive come across an issue with the Inline edit. When the inline edit is activated, some of the elements get assigned an auto complete. When the inline edit is canceld or saved, the auto complete does not always go away (selecting text by double clicking it then hitting delete, then hitting escape to exit row edit). Leaving the auto complete controls in edit mode when the row is no longer considered in edit mode. Perhaps you can tell me if there is a problem with the initialization or if I you are aware of an event post-"afterrestorefunc" that the fields can be returned to their "original" state. Original state being displayed as data in the JQGrid row. I've tried removing the DOM after row close, .remove() and .empty(): ... "afterrestorefunc": function(){ $('.ui-autocomplete-input').remove(); } ... but that causes other issues, such as the jqgrid is not able to find the cell when serializing the row for data or edit, and requires a refresh of the page, not just jqgrid, to be able to once again see the data from that row. Auto complete functionality for the element is created on the double click of the row: function CreateCustomSearchElement(value, options, selectiontype) { ... var el; el = document.createElement("input"); ... $(el).autocomplete({ source: function (request, response) { $.ajax({ url: '<%=ResolveUrl("~/Services/AutoCompleteService.asmx/GetAutoCompleteResponse") %>', data: "{ 'prefixText': '" + request.term + "', 'contextKey': '" + options.name + "'}", dataType: "json", type: "POST", contentType: "application/json; charset=utf-8", success: function (data) { response($.map(data.d, function (item) { return { label: Trim(item), value: Trim(item), searchVal: Trim(item) } })) } }); }, select: function (e, item) { //Select is on the event of selection where the value and label have already been determined. }, minLength: 1, change: function (event, ui) { //if the active element was not the search button //... } }).keyup(function (e) { if (e.keyCode == 8 || e.keyCode == 46) { //If the user hits backspace or delete, check the value of the textbox before setting the searchValue //... } }).keydown(function (e) { //if keycode is enter key and there is a value, you need to validate the data through select or change(onblur) if (e.keyCode == '13' && ($(el).val())) { return false; } if (e.keyCode == '220') { return false } }); } Other Sources: http://www.trirand.com/jqgridwiki/doku.php?id=wiki:inline_editing http://api.jqueryui.com/autocomplete/ Update: I tried only creating the autocomplete when the element was focused, and removing it when onblur. That did not resolve the issue either. It seems to just need the autocomplete dropdown to be triggered.

  • .net ViewState in page lifecycle

    - by caltrop
    I have a page containing a control called PhoneInfo.ascx. PhoneInfo is dynamically created using LoadControl() and then the initControl() function is called passing in an initialization object to set some initial textbox values within PhoneInfo. The user then changes these values and hits a submit button on the page which is wired up to the "submit_click" event. This event invokes the GetPhone() function within PhoneInfo. The returned value has all of the new user entered values except that the phoneId value (stored in ViewState and NOT edited by the user) always comes back as null. I believe that the viewstate is responsible for keeping track of user entered data across a postback, so I can't understand how the user values are coming back but not the explicitly set ViewState["PhoneId"] value! If I set the ViewState["PhoneId"] value in PhoneInfo's page_load event, it retrieves it correctly after the postback, but this isn't an option because I can only initialize that value when the page is ready to provide it. I'm sure I am just messing up the page lifecycle somehow, any suggestion or questions would really help! I have included a much simplified version of the actual code below. Containing page's codebehind protected void Page_Load(object sender, EventArgs e) { Phone phone = controlToBind as Phone; PhoneInfo phoneInfo = (PhoneInfo)LoadControl("phoneInfo.ascx"); //Create phoneInfo control phoneInfo.InitControl(phone); //use controlToBind to initialize the new control Controls.Add(phoneInfo); } protected void submit_click(object sender, EventArgs e) { Phone phone = phoneInfo.GetPhone(); } PhoneInfo.ascx codebehind protected void Page_Load(object sender, EventArgs e) { } public void InitControl(Phone phone) { if (phone != null) { ViewState["PhoneId"] = phone.Id; txt_areaCode.Text = SafeConvert.ToString(phone.AreaCode); txt_number.Text = SafeConvert.ToString(phone.Number); ddl_type.SelectedValue = SafeConvert.ToString((int)phone.Type); } } public Phone GetPhone() { Phone phone = new Phone(); if ((int)ViewState["PhoneId"] >= 0) phone.Id = (int)ViewState["PhoneId"]; phone.AreaCode = SafeConvert.ToInt(txt_areaCode.Text); phone.Number = SafeConvert.ToInt(txt_number.Text); phone.Type = (PhoneType)Enum.ToObject(typeof(PhoneType), SafeConvert.ToInt(ddl_type.SelectedValue)); return phone; } }

  • Including hibernate jar dependencies in ant build

    - by Patrick
    Hi, I'm trying to compile a runnable jar-file for a project that makes use of hibernate. I'm trying to construct an ant build.xml file to streamline my build process, but I'm having troubles with the inclusion of the hibernate3.jar inside the final jar-file. If I run the ant script I manage to include all my library jars, and they are put in the final jar-file's root. When I run the jar-file I get a java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: org/hibernate/Session error. If I make use of the built-in export to jar in Eclipse, it works only if I choose "extract required libraries into jar". But that bloats the jar, and includes too much of my project (i.e. unit tests). Below is my generated manifest: Manifest-Version: 1.0 Main-Class: main.ServerImpl Class-Path: ./ antlr-2.7.6.jar commons-collections-3.1.jar dom4j-1.6.1.jar hibernate3.jar javassist-3.9.0.GA.jar jta-1.1.jar slf4j-api-1.5.11.jar slf4j-simple-1.5.11.jar mysql-connector-java-5.1.12-bin.jar rmiio-2.0.2.jar commons-logging-1.1.1.jar And the part of the build.xml looks like this: <target name="dist" depends="compile" description="Generates the Distribution Jar(s)"> <mkdir dir="${dist.dir}" /> <jar destfile="${dist.dir}/${dist.file.name}.jar" basedir="${build.prod.dir}" filesetmanifest="mergewithoutmain"> <manifest> <attribute name="Main-Class" value="${main.class}" /> <attribute name="Class-Path" value="./ ${manifest.classpath} " /> <attribute name="Implementation-Title" value="${app.name}" /> <attribute name="Implementation-Version" value="${app.version}" /> <attribute name="Implementation-Vendor" value="${app.vendor}" /> </manifest> <zipfileset refid="hibernatefiles" /> <zipfileset refid="slf4jfiles" /> <zipfileset refid="mysqlfiles" /> <zipfileset refid="commonsloggingfiles" /> <zipfileset refid="rmiiofiles" /> </jar> </target> The refids' for the zipfilesets point to the directories in a library directory lib in the root of the project. The manifest.classpath-variable takes the classpath of all those library jar-files, and flattens them with pathconvert and mapper. I've also tried to set the manifest classpath to ".", "./" and only the library jar, but to no difference at all. I'm hoping there's a simple remedy to my problems...

  • Selecting MediaTray in Java printing

    - by Rocket Surgeon
    I am trying to programmatically select a different media tray using Java Printing API. However, my document always gets printed to the default (TOP) media tray. I checked if the MediaTray attributes are supported using "isAttributeValueSupported()" method on javax.print.PrintService interface and I am getting the result as "true" for each MediaTray I pass. Here is my code: public void print( String printerName, com.company.services.document.transferobject.MediaTray tray, byte[] document) { String methodName = "print: "; logger.sendEvent(CLASS_NAME + methodName + "Start", EventType.INFO, this); if (printerName == null || "none".equals(printerName) || "?".equals(printerName) || "null".equals(printerName)) { logger.sendEvent("Please supply printer name, currently printerName is "+printerName, EventType.INFO, this); return; } DocFlavor flavor = DocFlavor.BYTE_ARRAY.AUTOSENSE; AttributeSet attributeSet = new HashAttributeSet(); attributeSet.add(new PrinterName(printerName, null)); javax.print.PrintService service = getService(printerName); if (service.isAttributeValueSupported(MediaTray.TOP, flavor, null)) { System.out.println("---------->>>>>>>>>Yes TOP" + " : Value : " + MediaTray.TOP.getValue()); } else { System.out.println("---------->>>>>>>>>Nope"); } if (service.isAttributeValueSupported(MediaTray.BOTTOM, flavor, null)) { System.out.println("---------->>>>>>>>>Yes BOTTOM" + " : Value : " + MediaTray.BOTTOM.getValue()); } else { System.out.println("---------->>>>>>>>>Nope"); } if (service.isAttributeValueSupported(MediaTray.MIDDLE, flavor, null)) { System.out.println("---------->>>>>>>>>Yes MIDDLE" + " : Value : " + MediaTray.MIDDLE.getValue()); } else { System.out.println("---------->>>>>>>>>Nope"); } if (service.isAttributeValueSupported(MediaTray.MANUAL, flavor, null)) { System.out.println("---------->>>>>>>>>Yes MANUAL" + " : Value : " + MediaTray.MANUAL.getValue()); } else { System.out.println("---------->>>>>>>>>Nope"); } if (service.isAttributeValueSupported(MediaTray.SIDE, flavor, null)) { System.out.println("---------->>>>>>>>>Yes SIDE" + " : Value : " + MediaTray.SIDE.getValue()); } else { System.out.println("---------->>>>>>>>>Nope"); } DocPrintJob printJob = service.createPrintJob(); try { byte[] textStream = document; PrintRequestAttributeSet pras = new HashPrintRequestAttributeSet(); pras.add(DocumentServiceConstant. DEFAULT_ONE_PRINT_COPY); pras.add(Sides.ONE_SIDED); Media standardTray= toStandardTray(tray); if (null != standardTray) { pras.add(standardTray); } Doc myDoc = new SimpleDoc(textStream, flavor, null); printJob.print(myDoc, pras); logger.sendEvent( " successfully printed ............ ", EventType.INFO, this); } catch (Throwable th) { logger.sendEvent(" Throwable : "+th.getLocalizedMessage(), EventType.INFO, this); ExceptionUtility .determineExceptionForServiceClient(th); } logger.sendEvent(CLASS_NAME + methodName + "END: ", EventType.INFO, this); } Any help will be greatly appreciated!

  • Starting ActiveMQ message listener in Tomcat?

    - by Nick Swarr
    I've created an ActiveMQ MessageListener and configured it using Spring. I'm hosting the listener in Tomcat. When I start up the web application (that features only the listener), should the listener automatically start? Or do I need additional configuration? Here's what I have. First, updated the web.xml to allow spring to configure itself on startup, <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <web-app version="2.5" xmlns="http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/javaee" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xsi:schemaLocation="http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/javaee http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/javaee/web-app_2_5.xsd"> <listener> <listener-class>org.springframework.web.context.ContextLoaderListener</listener-class> </listener> <context-param> <param-name>contextConfigLocation</param-name> <param-value>/WEB-INF/classes/spring/applicationContext.xml</param-value> </context-param> </web-app> Then I created the applicationContext.xml to configure the ActiveMQ listener, <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <beans xmlns="http://www.springframework.org/schema/beans" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:context="http://www.springframework.org/schema/context" xmlns:amq="http://activemq.apache.org/schema/core" xsi:schemaLocation="http://www.springframework.org/schema/beans http://www.springframework.org/schema/beans/spring-beans-3.0.xsd http://www.springframework.org/schema/context http://www.springframework.org/schema/context/spring-context-3.0.xsd"> <context:annotation-config /> <context:component-scan base-package="com.somepackage"/> <context:property-placeholder location="classpath:env.properties"/> <bean id="jmsFactory" class="org.apache.activemq.ActiveMQConnectionFactory"> <property name="brokerURL" value="tcp://localhost:61616" /> </bean> <bean id="documentListener" class="com.somepackage.SomeListener" /> <bean id="container" class="org.springframework.jms.listener.DefaultMessageListenerContainer"> <property name="connectionFactory" ref="cachingConnectionFactory"/> <property name="messageListener" ref="documentListener"/> <property name="destinationName" value="STOCKS.MSFT" /> </bean> <bean id="cachingConnectionFactory" class="org.springframework.jms.connection.CachingConnectionFactory"> <property name="targetConnectionFactory" ref="jmsFactory" /> <property name="sessionCacheSize" value="1" /> </bean> </beans> And that's it. Based on what I've seen around the web, I can't tell if that's all I need? Maybe I need some other configuration in Tomcat to kick off the listener?
