• Removing specific tags in a KML file

  I have a KML file which is a list of places around the world with coordinates and some other attributes. It looks like this for one place: <Placemark> <name>Albania - Durrës</name> <open>0</open> <visibility>1</visibility> <description>(Spot ID: 275801) show <![CDATA[<a href="http://www.windguru.cz/int/index.php?go=1&vs=1&sc=275801">forecast</a>]]></description> <styleUrl>#wgStyle001</styleUrl><Point> <coordinates>19.489747,41.277806,0</coordinates> </Point> <LookAt><range>200000</range><longitude>19.489747</longitude><latitude>41.277806</latitude></LookAt> </Placemark> I would like to remove everything except the name of the place. So in this case that would mean I would like to remove everything except <name>Albania - Durrës</name> The problem is, this KML file includes more than 1000 of these places. Doing this manually obviously isn't an option, so then how can I remove all tags except for the name tags for all of the items in the list? Can I use some kind of program for that?

• How Are These Styles Cascading?

  Problem is viewable at this link. http://dansdemos.info/prototypes/htmlSamples/responsive/step08_megaGridForward.html The three boxes need to have green backgrounds, but another style is taking precedence. I thought styles were supposed to take precedence based on where they appear in the style sheets, with styles lower in the style sheet cascading (taking precedence) over styles higher in the style sheet. I guess that is wrong, because the style sheet for the background colors of those boxes is here: #maincontent .col { background: #ccc; background: rgba(204, 204, 204, 0.85); } #callout1 { background-color: #00B300; text-align:center; } #callout2 { background-color: #00CC00; text-align:center; } #callout3 { background-color: #00E600; text-align:center; } When the style for "#maincontent .col" is removed, the green shows up (link)http://dansdemos.info/prototypes/htmlSamples/responsive/step08_megaGridForwardGreen.html, but I thought the green should show up because it is after the gray color specified higher up. I am finding a way to get what I need, but it would really make it a lot easier if I understood why the backgrounds are gray, instead of green. Any assistance would be extremely much appreciated.   I am having some issues with applying a gradient to a RadButton.   HI, I upload my php testing script to online vps server just now. The script used to parse a big size XML file(about 4M, 7000Lines). But my IE explorer show the online error message below. Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 16777216 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 77 bytes) in /var/www/test/result/index.php on line 26 I am sure I already tested the php script on localhost successfully. Is there any configuration need be enable/modify on my VPS? Such as php.ini or some setting for apache server? I just verified there are about 200M memory usage are avaliable for my VPS.   I have situation. I have to create a Sports Club system in JAVA. There should be a class your for keeping track of club name, president name and braches the club has. For each sports branch also there should be a class for keeping track of a list of players. Also each player should have a name, number, position and salary. So, I come up with this. Three seperate classes: public class Team { String clubName; String preName; Branch []branches; } public class Branch { Player[] players; } public class Player { String name; String pos; int salary; int number; } The problems are creating Branch[] in another class and same for the Player[]. Is there any simplier thing to do this? For example, I want to add info for only the club name, president name and branches of the club, in this situation, won't i have to enter players,names,salaries etc. since they are nested in each other.   I have an ASPX web form. I use jQuery to simply my Javascript. I use a Javascript validation script to validate each of the form fields' values. If an error occurs, I popup an alert with an error message. Then I transfer focus to the underlying element. Here are examples I have tried.   Hi, Im building a web application that displays a xfdf document. When we are testing in adobe 5 and we can't stop adobe opening outside the webpage. The user clicks the report and it should open in the browser but instead it opens in adobe it appears to work in everything but adobe 5. We have previously done this with out any problems. Any ideas? • AS3 colorTransform over multiple frames?

  (Flash Professional, AS3) I'm working on a custom avatar system where you can select various festures and colors. For example, I have 10 hairstyles, and a colorPicker to change the color. mc_myAvatar has 10 frames. Each frame has a movieclip of a different hairstyle (HairStyle1, HairStyle2, etc.) Here's my code: var hairColor:ColorTransform; hairColor = mc_myAvatar.hair.colorLayer.transform.colorTransform; hairColor.color = 0xCCCC00; mc_myAvatar.hair.colorLayer.transform.colorTransform = hairColor; This correctly changes the initial color. I have a "nextHair" button to advance mc_myAvatar.hair to the next frame. When I click the button, I get an error message saying that I have a null object reference. I added a trace, and mc_myAvatar.hair.colorLayer is null on frame 2. Why??? I've clearly named HairStyle2 as "colorLayer" in frame 2. I think the problem is related to me using the same name for different classes/movieclips, but I don't know how to fix the problem... I added a square movieclip below my hairStyle movieclips, named the square "colorLevel", and deleted the name from my hairStyle clips. When I click the next button, the square correctly maintains the color from frame to frame. However, having a square doesn't do me much good. :( I tried converting the hairStyle layer to a mask. Doing this, however, results in yet another "null object" error - mc_myAvatar.hair.colorLayer is null after frame 1. I even tried "spanning" my colorLevel across all frames (no keyframes), thinking that this would give me just one movieclip to work with. No luck. Same error! What's going on, here? Why am I getting these null objects, when they are clearly defined in my movieclip? I'm also open to suggestions on a better way to do multiple frames and colors.

• Excel: Automating the Selection of an Unknown Number of Cells

  I’m trying to automate the formatting of an excel file by a macro and am seeking a solution. I have two columns titled Last Name and First Name which I would like to concatenate into a separate column titled Last Name, First Name. This is simple enough when done by hand: create one cell which does this, then drag that cell to include all cells within the range. The problem appears when trying to automate this. Because I can’t know the number of names that need to be concatenated ahead of time, I can’t automate the selection of cells by dragging. Can you help me automate this? I’ve tried a process of copying the initial concatenated cell, highlighting the column, and then pasting. I’ve also tried to use a formula which returned the concatenation only if there is text in the “Last Name” and “First Name” columns. However, in both cases, I end up with some 100,000 rows, putting a serious cramp on my ability to manipulate the worksheet.
