  • JQuery Mobile bind event to listview

    - by nycynik
I am trying to add a vclick to a dynamic JQM listview. But I can not figure out how to identify which number is being clicked. http://jsfiddle.net/2hR9w/ for (var x=0; x<2; x++ ) { $("#listitem"+x).bind("vclick",function(e) { console.log("clicked"+x); }); console.log(x); } ? Something is wrong with the code, but i can't figure out why x is always the max loop value, since I feel like it should be set at the time of the loop. it always reads clicked2, never clicked1.

I have a div and three links when a link is clicked the div is set its innerHTML with an embedHTML of video and i need to cause some effects when the current div video is changed on clicking the link Example : <a id="Link1" onClick="ChangeVideo(1)">Link1</a> <a id="Link2" onClick="ChangeVideo(2)">Link2</a> <a id="Link3" onClick="ChangeVideo(3)">Link3</a> <div id="CurrVideo"></div> <script type="text/javascript" language="javascript"> //The ArrEmbed is an array that is set on the load of the page:: var ArrEmbed = new Array(); function ChangeVideo(index) { $('#CurrVideo).fadeTo(1000,0.25,function(){ document.getElementById("CurrVideo").innerHTML = ArrEmbed[index-1]; }); $('#CurrVideo).fadeTo(500,1.25); } </script> The effect is not noticeable and fading with opacity diminshing is not noticed even if the duration time is increased (e.g. 'slow') and when i replace the EmbedHTML with image this code is applicable and the effect of fading is noticed but with the video it is not noticeable so how can i solve this problem ? • jquery next siblings

    - by Contra
Hi stackoverflow! (first post!) Ive been trying to get this problem solved, but I cant seem to figure it out without some serious workarounds. if I have the following html code: <ul> <li class="parent"> headertext </li> <li> text </li> <li> text </li> <li> text </li> <li class="parent"> headertext </li> <li> text </li> <li> text </li> </ul> Now, how do I now just select the li's following the first parent (or second, for that matter)? Basically selecting an li with class=parent and the following siblings until it reaches another li with the parent class. I could restructure the list with nested lists, but I dont want to do that. Any suggestions?

  • Jquery .text() seems not to work on XML in IE7

    - by volder
My PHP backend sends XML response to the client (ajax): <response> <code>0</code> <message>OK</message> </response> in the javascript I'm trying to get CODE value in this way: var errorCode = $('code', xml).text(); and then depending on errorCode value I do processing. It is working fine in all browsers I tested except IE7. Instead of CODE value - it is giving me the empty string. The problem is not in 0 value, because I tried to use 5 as a code for example - the result was the same. Any ideas, because I'm stuck with :(( Thanks.

  • jQuery link nudge and color transform

    - by DaveKingsnorth
Hey everyone, I have achieved the effect described in the title using the following code: $(document).ready(function(){ $('.button').mousedown(function() { $(this).animate({ 'top': '3px' }, 70); }); $('.button').mouseup(function() { $(this).animate({ 'top': '0px' }, 70); }); $('.button').hover(function() { $(this).stop().animate({ color: '#fff', backgroundColor: '#000' }, 250); }); $('.button').mouseout(function() { $(this).stop().animate({ color: '#000', backgroundColor: '#fff' }, 250); }); }); I am pretty sure that that this code can be reduced significantly, can anyone help me out? Please note that I want the button to animate when the mouse is clicked and not return to it's original position until the mouse is released. Cheers

  • jQuery cycle query

    - by Happy
We have a script used for each .item: $(".item").each(function(){ item_link = "http://..."; block = $('.block', this); $.get(item_link, function(data) { var src = $('img.slide', data).attr('src'); block.html(src); }); }); item_link variable is uniquie for each query. There can be 100 .item or more. The problem is - server has limit on connections at the same time, that why some .item get var src, some not. The best solution is to use just one .get at the same time. I think there should be some counter, if .get is finished - it gives message "I'm finished, you can start" to the next .get and so on. How to do that? Thanks.

  • Endless scroll paging in jquery Safari

    - by socheata
I'm using : $(window).scroll(function () { if ($(window).scrollTop() + 10 >= ($(document).height() - $(window).height())) { loadContent(); } } It works fine with Chrome, IE, Firefox but except in Safari. In function loadContent, I used JSON to load data, as this tutorial. But while I test in Safari, It takes the content twice from JSON. If the other takes 9 items, then Safari takes 18 items. Does anyone know how to solve this problem? Thanks.

  • Using Jquery 1.8.0 return false is not breaking an each() loop

    Here is the script I am using. $('.row').each(function(){ $(this).each(function(){ if($(this).find('.name').val()==""){ $(this).find('.name').val(data.name); $(this).find('.autonomy').val(data.autonomy); $(this).find('.purpose').val(data.purpose); $(this).find('.flow').val(data.flow); $(this).find('.relatedness').val(data.relatedness); $(this).find('.challenge').val(data.challenge); $(this).find('.mastery').val(data.mastery); $(this).find('.colour').val(data.colour); done=true; } if(done==true){ alert("here"); return false; } }); }); It just seems to totally ignore the return false and I can't seem to work out why!

  • Processing JSON data with jQuery - strange results needing alert()

    - by James
I have this code below. I randomly ran across that it will work if I have that alert message exactly where it is. If I take it out or move it to any other spot the tabs will not appear. What exactly is that alert doing that allows the code to work and how can I make it work without the alert? If I move the each loop into the success section it does not work even with the alert. $.ajax({ type: "GET", url: "../ajax.php", data: "action=tabs", dataType: "json", success: function(data){ Projects = data; } }); alert("yes"); $.each(Projects, function(i){ /* Sequentially creating the tabs and assigning a color from the array: */ var tmp = $('<li><a href="#" class="tab green">'+Projects[i].name+'<span class="left" /><span class="right" /></a></li>'); /* Setting the page data for each hyperlink: */ tmp.find('a').data('page','../ajax.php?action=lists&projectID='+Projects[i].project_id); /* Adding the tab to the UL container: */ $('ul.tabContainer').append(tmp); }); The ajax code is retuning json with this code $query = mysql_query("SELECT * FROM `projects` ORDER BY `position` ASC"); $projects = array(); // Filling the $projects array with new project objects: while($row = mysql_fetch_assoc($query)){ $projects[] = $row; } echo json_encode($projects); The returning data is very small and very fast so I don't think that is the problem.

  • jQuery removeClass(), how it works

    - by centro
I have images on my page. User can add more images onto the page by clicking a button. New images are added asynchronously. Initially, each image on page use a special class to be used when the image is loaded. After the image is loaded, that class is removed. Each image being loaded has the class imageLoading: <img class="imageLoading" scr="someimage.png"> After those images are loaded, I remove that class (simplified code without details): $('img.imageLoading') .each(function(){ $(this) .load(function(){ $(this) .removeClass('imageloading'); });}); Visually, I see that style is removed. But when I run the query again: $('img.imageLoading') I see via debugging that all images, not just loading ones, are returned, i.e. it works like I didn't remove the class for the images that were already loaded. I had a look into the page source, and I saw that actually in HTML the class was not removed, though removeClass() was called. Is that behavior by design that all visual changes are applied but the class attribute is not removed in HTML code? If so, how it can be workarounded in this case. Or, probably, I missed something.

  • How to append query parameter at runtime using jQuery

    - by Wondering
Through JavaScript I am appending one query parameter to the page url and I am facing one strange behaiviour. <div> <a href="Default3.aspx?id=2">Click me</a> </div> $(function () { window.location.href = window.location.href + "&q=" + "aa"; }); Now I am appending &q=aa in default3.aspx and in this page the &q=aa is getting added continuously, causing the URL to become: http://localhost:1112/WebSite2/Default3.aspx?id=2&q=aa&q=aa&q=aa&q=aa&q=aa&q=aa&q=aa&q=aa&q=aa&q=aa&q=aa&q=aa&q=aa&q=aa&q=aa&q=aa&q=aa&q=aa&q=aa&q=aa&q=aa One would say just pass it like <a href="Default3.aspx?id=2&q=aa">Click me</a>, but I cant do that. The value of this query parameter is actually the value of an HTML element which is in default3.aspx. I have to add it in runtime. What are the ways to achieve this?
