  • Why use Nusoap rather than PHP SOAP ? Any benifits ?

    As far as i have scourged the web, i can see an abundance of articles on how to setup Nusoap and use it to setup a soap server/client in PHP.     I would like to know from Java code if the machine that I'm on is running active directory or that it has active directory installed (e.g. service may be stopped). Is there a reliable registry key to inspect? This is specifically for Windows 2008. I found info on the web that mentions HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\MSDTC\Security\DomainControllerState, but that value is 0 on my domain controller as well as on my normal windows 7 machine!?

    I've seen that it's possible to get the latitude and longitude (geocoding, like in Google Maps API) from a street address, but is it possible to do the reverse and get the street address when you know what the lat/long already is? The application would be an iPhone app (and why the app already knows lat/long), so anything from a web service to an iPhone API would work.

    I am getting the below error from VS on an 32-bit XP Professional server even though I set Tools-Options-Database Tools-Data Connections to "SIDEKICK", which is the name of my computer. In other words SIDEKICK should default to the full SQLSERVER. In other words, I want VS to use SQLSERVER instead of SQLSERVER EXPRESS. And I can clearly see my database both from VS in the Server Explorer and also in SSMS 2008. Furthermore, I can view the tables of this database in Server Explorer from VS. I do not get any build errors. And it looks like all of the naming is consistent in my web.config file. I am developing my website according to a Microsoft tutorial, so I should not be getting an error.     Hi, I've a cxf webservice with multiple endpoint. I've succesfully deploy it. The problem is all endpoint's WSDL appear in the same servlet URL. Can i have 2 org.apache.cxf.transport.servlet.CXFServlet servlet in the same web.xml and each servlet serve one endpoint so that i have endpoint1 at http:/locahost/app/endpoint1 and endpoint2 at http:/locahost/app/endpoint2 . ["foo"]\n (with newline, Content-Length=8) ["foo"] (no newline, Content-Length=7) For easy regression testing I like the form with the newline, but I want to make sure I won't be breaking any application frameworks that might have a more strict view of the REST format.

However due to security issues and also the ability to get certain references installed, I have to move this to an App Server and so doing it as a Windows Service and communicating with the ASP.Net site now via sockets. Is there a way I can easily give the Website a serialized DataSet via Sockets from my App Server so I can read this in and then just carry on using the code I currently have to bind this to a GridView?

My problem is that the data in Mb is about 4Mb and it takes quite a while to decompress in the application (after downloading it every time).     Explanation: Let's say I have an object graph that's nested several levels deep and each entity has a bi-directional relationship with each other. A -> B -> C -> D -> E Or in other words, A has a collection of B and B has a reference back to A, and B has a collection of C and C has a reference back to B, etc... Now let's say I want to edit some data for an instance ofC. In Winforms, I would use something like this: var instanceOfC; using (var session = SessionFactory.OpenSession()) { // get the instance of C with Id = 3 instanceOfC = session.Linq<C>().Where(x => x.Id == 3); } SendToUIAndLetUserUpdateData(instanceOfC); using (var session = SessionFactory.OpenSession()) { // re-attach the detached entity and update it session.Update(instanceOfC); } In plain English, we grab a persistent instance out of the database, detach it, give it to the UI layer for editing, then re-attach it and save it back to the database. Problem: This works fine for Winform applications because we're using the same entity all throughout, the only difference being that it goes from persistent to detached to persistent again. The problem occurs when I'm using a web service and a browser, sending over JSON data. In this case, the data that comes back is no longer a detached entity, but rather a transient one that just happens to have the same ID as the persistent one. If I use this entity to update, it will wipe out the relationship to B and D unless I sent the entire object graph over to the UI and got it back in one piece. Question: My question is, how do I serialize detached entities over the web, receive them back, and save them, while preserving any relationships that I didn't explicitly change? I know about ISession.SaveOrUpdateCopy and ISession.Merge() (they seem to do the same thing?), but this will still wipe out the relationships if I don't explicitly set them. I could copy the fields from the transient entity to the persistent entity one by one, but this doesn't work too well when it comes to relationships and I'd have to handle version comparisons manually.

It's pretty hard to get in it's documentation, and I couldn't find explanation how to send email to a single subscriber instantly without having some triggering actions. So if i change the web service to ssl i always get a connection reset (101). I tried several ports 80,443,9999 with the same outcome. What is the error?

To run the client I use: c:/scriptsdirecotry "run-client.bat" param1 param2 param3 param4 how would I go about coding this in python or F#. seems like it should be pretty simple but I haven't seen anything online that quite matches what i'm looking for.
