    Is there any method I could use in my web application to view the locale value used by IIS 6.0 on Windows 2003 Server? I call GetLocale which returns me the LOCALE_SYSTEM_DEFAULT, but I would like to confirm that even IIS is using the same locale. The reason I want to view IIS locale value is, two web servers having the same LOCALE_SYSTEM_DEFAULT, display the date in a different format.

  • What is causing the unusual high load average?

    I noticed on Tuesday night of last week, the load average went up sharply and it seemed abnormal since the traffic is small. Usually, the numbers usually average around .40 or lower and my server stuff (mysql, php and apache) are optimized.     I downloaded wamp server, then went to the phpMyAdmin panel and messed around with the privileges of my database, and I gave a new password and username, and now I am getting this message MySQL said: Documentation 1045 - Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' (using password: NO) I cannot acces my server anymore. ...I tried to reinstall the wamp server and I even did a system reset for a previous date but nothing helped. I tried to find the configuration php in the myadmin library but no luck. Please help!

  • log4net not logging with a mixture of .net 1.1 and .net 3.5

    Hi All, I have an iis server on a windows 2003 production machine that will not log using log4net in the .net3.5 web application. Log4net works fine in the 1.1 apps using log4net version 1.2.9.0 and but not the 3.5 web app. The logging works fine in a development and staging environment but not in production. It does not error and I receive no events logged in the event viewer and don't know where to look next. I have tried both versions of log4net (1.2.9.0 and 1.2.10.0) and both work in development and staging but not in production. For testing purposes I have created just a single page application that just echos back the time when the page is hit and also is supposed to log to my logfile using log4net. I know many of you guys on this site are GIT gurus - so I was wondering whether anyone would be able to help us (and I am sure 100s of other Windows Devs who want to use GIT) write a "Setup GIT Server" guide for windows using Msysgit ? There is a comment on the guide above suggesting it cant be done with Msysgit because gitosis requires the use of an SSH Server and Bash ?     I have been struggling with this for some times.. I searched around but didnt get a solution yet. This is only an issue on production server. In my development environment, everything works just fine. I am using JQuery/Ajax to update product information based on product's Color attribute. for example, a product has A and B color, the price for color A is different from color B. When user choose different color, the price information is updated as well.   • Problem with Google App Engine Appstats

    I'm having an issue getting Appstats to work correctly. Using /appstats or /appstats/stats ends up in an infinite loop that keeps redirecting back to /appstats/stats. This results in a 404 error saying the page isn't redirecting properly. Any idea what the issue is? Here are the relevant lines in my appengine-web.xml.   • Git diff gone mad?

    I'm trying to figure out what's going on with my local Git repo. I edit a file. Git reports everything has changed in the file (I only changed one line) At first I think "must be a newline problem", but it's not. I do a diff in TortoiseGit, everything looks fine. I do a diff with Netbeans (git plugin), everything seems fine. I do a reset, backup the file, modify it, git again reports everything has changed. I do a binary compare in Total Commander, the files have no differences except for the single line I changed. I do a hard reset again. Git tells me it was done successfully. Git status still says my file has changed. I diff the thing and there are no differences - bug git says there are. I've tried using both git bash and gui, with same results (I'm on Windows). Any clues, what's going on here?

    Hi, I'm running a CentOS 5.3 server with a basic LAMP stack. I've optimized LAMP and my code to run efficiently as possible, but Apache has a memory leak somewhere that kills my server every hour or so. What is the best way to write a script that will monitor the memory usage and if it peaks over, say, 450MB kill all the Apache processes and restart Apache. I know C++/PHP and basic Linux server administration but I'm not familiar with Perl or bash scripting. I'd be open to learn any solutions, though, as a temporary solution while I find the issue.

I am currently using defaultDate: document.getElementById('<%=txtFirstDate.ClientID%>').value This works okay, but obviously errors if firstDate is null. Should I be using OnSelect function instead?
