  • Cocoa equivalent of diskEvt/kEventClassVolume?

    We have a drop-down menu of volumes in our UI, and I'd like to update it when a new disk is mounted. In the Classic days, this would involve watching for a diskEvt event. In Carbon, I think this was kEventClassVolume. What's the Cocoa equivalent? (A pointer into Apple's documentation on this would satisfy the question. I've been unable to find anything!)

    I have developed code using EAAccessory , and its work fine... But when i disconnect EAAccessory, my application got exception like an error....I want to show an alert , while disconnecting EAAccessory.... I am using this line of code in my app (void)accessoryDidDisconnect:(EAAccessory *)accessory; But this event is not fired ..When i disconnect my accessory.... Can anyone help me ?   • jquery binding multiple events, and pass data

    I know we can have this in 1.4: $("a").bind({ click : clickFn, mouseover: mouseFn }); and that is nice and i would like to use it, but it seems like there is no way to pass extra data to events bound this way, it needs to be done the 'old way': $("a").bind("click", {"some":"data"}, clickFn); Question: how can i pass the extra data to my event call backs and bind multiple events in a single bind at the same time?

    What would the proper way be to modify values on the fly as they are loaded into a DataTable by SqlAdapter.Fill()? I have globalized my application's log messages. An integer indicating the event type and serialized data relevant to the event is stored in the database as show below.   • How can I prevent row selection in the WPF Toolkit DataGrid?

    I see a few options available for row selection, but 'No Selection' is not one of them. I've tried handling the SelectionChanged event by setting SelectedItem to null, but the row still seems selected. If there is no easy support for preventing this, would it be easy to just style the selected row the same as an unselected one? That way it could be selected, but the user has no visual indicator.

    I have 2 asp:ListView controls, one embedded in the other (OuterListView and InnerListView respectively). I am trying to add an asp:linkbutton in the InnerListView layout that will allow the user to add an item to the InnerListView. Unfortunately, when I handle the OnClick event in the linkbutton control, I can't figure out how to get a handle on the asp:linkbutton's parent ListView from within the codebehind handler. Obviously, there is no global handle since there are multiple inner listviews. I can link code if necessary.

    In my android program, I have a spinner that allows the user to select different times. Each selection is processed with Joda time to subtract the minutes. It works fine for minutes 0 to 59 and 61 and greater. However, when 60 minutes is subtracted, the time is not updated, and the original time is shown. How do I get Joda time to subtract 60 minutes?   • GWT: What is the way to handle Click on GWT FlowPanel

    May be a dumb question, but GWT FlowPanel (raw div element) does not provides something to handle a mouseclick/mousemovement on it. Overriding onBrowserEvent do not works either. If setting onclick event using native JavaScript (need to specify positive height before, 'div' have a height of 0 if not specified), then catching these events is working properly. Is there a way to do it without using JSNI?

  • jQuery i++ and i-- problems ... what on earth???

    Could someone please tell me what I am doing wrong? I'm not a newbie at programming but I feel like it tonight! Every time I increment the incrementing variable it throws a fit! When add one to it, it behaves fine, but if I try to add one more to it it wants to add 2 more. And then if I try to de-increment it wants to subtract from the original number that it was assigned to. I've tried: i++; i = i+1; i = i++; Nothing seems to work. It's got to be a stupid mistake.
