  • jsf submit button not wrking

    I am using hx:commandExButton of IBM Faces Client Framework to call my method. But the method is not getting called. But if I use immediate="true" it's getting called. But as you all know with this my model won't get updated, so it has no use to me. Has anyone faced this?   • Redmine on Apache2 with Passenger issue

    I installed Redmine and run it in Apache2 with the Passenger module. Apache2 boots, Passenger module gets loaded and the Redmine welcome page is shown, however when trying to login or navigate to other parts of the Redmine site, the browser keeps loading and loading and loading forever, although the Redmine production.log indicates redirects and HTTP 200 codes in the header, so everything seems to work correctly according to the log. I tested in various browsers. Does anyone have an idea what could be wrong? I will add apache configuration and some relevant log snippets from both apache and redmine hereafter.   • Can´t install OS from usb flash drive

    My previous problem was describe here: Can't boot OS from USB drive, showing black screen with blinking cursor and there are informations about my laptot. So please look there and then read rest here. I changed flash drive and it fix the problem but now when I boot to Ubuntu (or I tried Fedora, it do same) I can´t install system. I click on Install Ubuntu 10.10 I choose language, then on next window I click Forward but it just show waiting cursor and nothing happen (same Fedora). It doesn´t freeze so I can end install and I can take printscreen (when I was taking the screen, cursor was shown as waiting, not normal as in picture, it´s weird). Image where my installation ends I think there is some problem with Disk and Volumes and so. But I used chkdsk from W7 on boot and It said everything all right and I try utility in Ubuntu and check file system and it is all right too.Image with my Disk (Volumes and other things) I hope someone helps me. Also, is it possible to have multiple 2-person conference calls at the same time? Is setting this up as simple as setting aside X amount of 'channels' in the meetme.conf?

  • Ubuntu 9.1 Install from Disc Stalls After "Install Ubuntu" Sleclection is Made - eMachine

    I am trying to install Ubuntu 9.1 from the ISO on a CD (it needs to be this version) on an eMachine with a brand new Seagate hard disk. The CD boots OK, and I choose the language. Then I am presented with the choices: Try Ubuntu Install Ubuntu.... etc, etc... I have tried the top two choices several times (trying Ubuntu and installing it), but each and every time the installation stalls and the disc stops spinning right after I hit enter after choosing the option I want. I have tried different CD/DVD drives, changing the jumpers on both CD drives, different hard drives, and nothing works. Maybe there is a BIOS setting that is choking the installation? Any help would be appreciated.

    Hello, I have about 2k of file that are currently in lower case like: file_one.cfr file_two.cfr .... I am searching for a fast way to rename them to upper case so they would be like; FILE_ONE.cfr FILE_TWO.cfr .... If I use from my shell; for i in *; do mv $i `echo $i | tr [:lower:] [:upper:]`; done I can get all file and the file extensions to upper case. But the extension should remain in lowercase, so my approach does not work. Any programming language is welcome.

  • Rosetta Stone Network V3 doesn't recognize built-in microphone in OSX Lion

    I am using Rosetta Stone Network V3 on an early 2011 MacBook Pro running OSX Lion 10.7.3. When I log in, select a language and level, and then a lesson, I am prompted to select a microphone. The built in microphone doesn't show up, yet I've used it multiple times for other applications. I heard from another user that it doesn't work if headphones with a built-in microphone are used. I have not yet tried a USB microphone. Is there some free work around to this? I would prefer to not have to buy a USB microphone, but if that is the only solution, then I'll live. Edit: I noticed that Rosetta Stone tells me that if I don't have a microphone I should disable speech to move on, but that option is grayed out for me.

  • Mod_rewrite display subdomain.domain.com and call domain.com/subdomain/ for SSL

    I have a website secured by a standard SSL certificate, securing a few different shops under different subdirectories. Ex. domain.com/shop1/ The shops are also accessible via a subdomain e.g. shop1.domain.com. What I'm trying to accomplish: display shop1.domain.com to the user, while keeping all of the actual server calls as domain.com/shop1, so that the secure pages will continue to work properly. (Not sure if I'm using the proper language, exactly, I hope my point is clear.) To be clear: my SSL is working fine, and I don't need help with that, and I don't need or want to purchase a UCC cert. It can't be that difficult for anyone with experience with Apache. (I've spent 3 hours trying to learn about mod_rewrite. It's just not clicking.) I'm on a GoDaddy secure shared server, so please keep in mind that I'm not able to reset the server or anything.

    I'm mostly a system administrator and I don't directly work with databases other than installing them, setting up accounts, granting privileges, and so on. I realized that if The Boss walked up to me and asked, "What is a relational database?" I probably couldn't give a satisfactory answer... I'd maybe mumble something about data being stored and organized by categories which you can query with a special programing language (i.e., SQL). So could someone give a good "Boss Answer" for what a relational database is? And maybe how its different than just storing data on a file server? Bonus points for clever but accessible analogies and explaining tables, columns, records and fields. I'd define a "Boss Answer" as a quick one (maybe two) paragraph explanation for non-technical folks... mostly your Boss, on those rare occasions they actually ask you what it is you do all day.

  • Upgrade MySQL on Plesk on Windows

    I just got a nasty surprise when I installed a website in Unicode Hindi (Indian language) on a server, all freshly entered unicode data is turning into question marks on the server. On my dev machine it works perfectly. I found that I have MySQL version 5.0.45 (installed in default by Plesk I guess). On my dev machine i have version 5.1.33. I believe the problem could be due to the version difference. The new version of MySQL apparently has better support for Unicode than the older one. I want to upgrade MySQL on my Windows Server machine with Plesk installed on it I am reluctant to just install the new version using the mysql installer because Plesk maintains some custom settings for mysql and I am afraid the new version could change those settings and break my db. Can anyone tell me do I have to do anything special to install MySQL on plesk on windows or can I just use the new version installer?

  • Where can I find a useful Unicode fallback font for Mac OS X?

    On every browser I've tried (Firefox, Safari, Chrome, and Omniweb), when I go to a web page containing somewhat less-common characters, I can't see the glyphs. For example, on the Wikipedia page for the Bengali Language, the very first line contains a string of squares; on Windows, I can see the Bengali writing. On Windows, as long as I have the Arial Unicode MS font installed, these characters fall back to that font and display properly. Mac OS X doesn't seem to ship with a font containing these Unicode characters (it has Arial Unicode MS, but it must be a subset of the Windows version because Bengali doesn't display in that font). I checked on my Snow Leopard DVD and I installed "Additional Fonts" from the Optional Installs package, but I'm still missing many languages. Is there any good, free font that contains a large collection of languages? I know creating fonts is difficult and time-consuming, but it seems like including at least one font like this with operating systems should be standard by now.

    Hello experts, I'm very much a beginner when it comes to Ubuntu and I've been learning the ropes by diving in and writing a (backend-language independent) web app framework that relies on apache, some clever mod_rewrites, Ubuntu permissions, groups, and users. One thing that really annoys my inner clean-freak is that there are loads of users and groups that are created when Ubuntu is installed that are never used (Or so I think). Since I'm just running a simple web app server, I would like to know: What users/groups can I remove?     Related question: When reinstalling Windows 7, does the language, version, architecture (64-bit or 32-bit) or source (OEM, retail, or MSDN) matter? Unthinkingly I installed Windows 7 Enterprise on my development box at work rather than the Ultimate version. Now windows is complaining that it is unable to activate because it can't contact a KMS (Key Management Service) which my company doesn't have. Is there any way to change this install such that it believes it is Windows 7 Ultimate and will take an ultimate key? I have MSDN so the licensing is not an issue.

  • HD Video Capture Card w/ Good API?

    Does anyone here know of a good HD video capture card that has a good (comprehensive) API? I administer a few servers that do some video encoding right now, but when we make the switch to HD cameras, they won't be sufficient. In addition to this, the servers we have now are black boxes, closed to me except to start/stop the video capture device. I'd like to be able to roll my own, so we can better integrate it with our existing systems, but I know almost nothing about what kind of HD capture cards are out there, and if I can avoid spending money just to test their APIs that would rock. So does anyone have any experience with this? All our other software is in C#, and I'd like to set up the new servers with web interfaces to start/stop the capture (also in C#, using .NET 3.5 probably). I'm not sure how language specific these APIs would be, but that's what I'm working with just as a reference point. I appreciate any help the community can give!

Also, I guess the answers would differ depending on the language, so I'm looking for information related to the English/en-US versions only (I believe there is an en-GB version as well?) The Windows 8 Upgrade Assistant allows one to create USB/DVD (ISO) media: Is the media customised per-PC in any way, or are copies created on different PCs with different base OSes (XP/Vista/7) exactly the same? If the ISOs are not customised, are they exactly the same content-wise as the Upgrade DVDs available for purchase?

    I'm trying to install Mac OS X 10.5 on a MacBook that previously had 10.4 on it. i am getting an error after selecting the language. What could be causing a box on the screen that says: Mac OS X cannot be installed on this computer. It's an Intel MacBook with 1GB of DDR2 memory. 80GB hard drive. It has been formatted now, so there's no going back. According to the System Profiler on the 10.5 boot CD, the MacBook is version MacBook2,1. Thanks!

    I have Windows 7 64-bit Professional on my PC. When using English language, the visual effects are turned on. When I use Telugu LIP (India), the visual effects are turned off every time I reboot my PC. When I say visual effects, I don't mean the aero effects. The maximize and minimize effects are not felt. The effects don't show up though the check boxes are checked. Find the image showing the check boxes are checked but the effects not being showed up p. UPDATE: I recreated the account and now the effects are restored properly. UPDATE: Yes it is. This is a standard account. The surprising thing is,the check boxes are checked but still no animations. Once I make the apply button enable, the animations show up again.

    How can I make a script that will convert the text/data in a html textfield/textarea and send it to the server, which then saves it as a .txt file for storage? I downloaded PHP version 5.4.7, but have not yet installed on my server yet (not sure if I will need it, but also not sure how to install it). 1st problem: Saving text to server Html page/section with title textfield, text textarea, and submit button. You would enter a title, the text/notes you need in the textfield, then press the submit button to have it store the text in the textarea, as a .txt file on the server called .txt. 2nd problem: Opening text from server Html with list of all txt files OR textfield for entering in title, then submit button to send the title of the requested .txt file to the server, which would then load it up on the page.
