  I am a newbie in content management systems. I would need a CMS that can transfer content by XML or JSON to a client. It is ok if the CMS can also manage HTML websites, but the priority is on the data transfer over a web service. Which is the best CMS to use here? Now i plan to migrate to unmanaged VPS, so i need some guides, tips on how and where to start learning. I will have more specific questions once i start using it, but now i just need some general answers about this topic. Thanks. Update: Ok, i have decided to go for unmanaged VPS with cPanel. OS is CentOS-5. I contacted support only for some small(i think) things like creating new account in whm, some database importing, installing new software(rare)... What i will be using is apache, php, mysql. I think i will be able to cope with upgrading to new versions, so the thing that interests me the most is security i guess.

I want to keep this there throughout all the views so you can control the audio while navigating through the other parts of the application (multiple view/table controllers). Is there a way to create a view that stays in place like a tab bar?

• Media Center is sending duplicate #'s when changing channels

  I recently switched from cable to DirecTV (satellite). I went through the "Set up TV signal" in Media Center, and I went through the manual setup of the remote as it didn't recognize the DirecTV remote. All seemed okay, except sometimes (often - about 1/2 the time) when I select a channel in Media Center's guide it sends 5527 instead of 527 or 5446 instead of 546 - so it doesn't change the channel correctly. (I see the numbers show up on the TV screen before the channel changes.) I tried re-learning the remote, but the problem is still there. (Media Center is changing channels through the IR Blaster attached to the front of the DirecTV box.)

• Converting WAV to MP3 on Linux with low bitrates

  I need to convert WAV files to MP3 files so they can be played on a website. I think that LAME would probably be the best tool. However the WAV files are low bitrate (around 8kbits recorded from a phone) and LAME's website states that it is the "best MP3 encoder at mid-high bitrates and at VBR". Is there is a better encoder for lower bitrates? If so can you define "better"?

  Recently a 'consultant' came in to talk to bean counters at my place of employment, with regards to being more efficient with our IT infrastructure. They suggested to be more efficient we should only load the Apache modules that are required on our web servers. (This is just 1 of 1Ks of suggestions). The Bean Counters are very excited, and prepared for me to spend the time to investigate this avenue of cost cutting. I don't mind this mundane exercise, I see it as a learning experience! I guess this leads me to the actual question: How can I determine the minimum required apache modules for a PHP based application without actually going through the code, or plain old trial and error?

• Will Visual Studio 2010 democratize UML ?

  I've been very upset these past years with all the UML tools (especially the clunky mammoth Rational Rose from IBM which I really hated each time a client asked to use it). I think UML did suffer from bad integration. I rarely used UML myself because of lack of productivity. So I had a positive surprise with Visual Studio 2010 especially the sequence diagram reversing tool which really helps understand code. • Can't find a wireless access point's IP address after changing router IP/LAN settings

  I have a modem/router, Netgear DG834, and a wireless access point (AP), Netgear WG602. The AP is directly connected to the router. My old working configuration was: Router IP address : 192.168.0.1 Access point IP address: 192.168.0.10 My new configuration is: Router IP address : 192.168.1.1 Access point IP address: ???.???.???.??? I changed my router's IP address/LAN settings to set up a VPN with another Netgear router that had the same LAN configuration. The wireless network is still up and perfectly working, but I can't find the AP's IP address. I've tried broadcast ping but the AP won't respond. I looked at the router "attached devices", but it's not there. I've played around with Nmap and arp request but the AP is totally invisible. I can fix it by resetting it to factory settings, but I'm very interested in learning more about this problem. I'm also interested in network security and this fact of having an invisible AP well, it's something I'd like to understand.

  Is there any java libraries that is similar to unix's command file? ie: $ file somepicture.png somepicture.png PNG image, 805 x 292, 8-bit/color RGB, non-interlaced The file command is such a nice tool. I need something that can tell me if the file is really what I want it to be. (ie a picture, document etc) I know I can run the command file, but I am looking for a java library, not running the actual unix command.

  I am a student learning Java and I want to compile and run some simple Java on ST2. Also Eclipse is very slow on my laptop. Here is my JavaC.sublime-build file so far: { "cmd": ["sublimejavaexec.bat", "$file"], "file_regex": "^(...*?):([0-9]*):?([0-9]*)", "selector": "source.java" } So far it can run code that does not require user input. However when I have something that uses the Java input scanner it either skips through or generates an error. Can anyone suggest a solution such as a plug-in or if ST2 actually has this kind of feature on its console? Thanks.

  I'm setting up a domain on my home network for learning purposes, using BIND on CentOS to act as the name server. I've got the name server up and running as type master for my internal domain (plumbnicoll.family), and can do forward and reverse lookups from other computers in my LAN. For example, host office2.plumbnicoll.family correctly returns office2.plumbnicoll.family has address 192.168.1.3. What I'd like is to be able to resolve just office2 to its address, without needing to put .plumbnicoll.family at the end. Is this possible, or even desirable to do? I'm running a mixed environment at home with both Linux and Windows computers.

My JToggleButtons use only as much space as they need, leaving ugly empty space below and under them. How can I make them fill all available space without setting size arbitrarily?
