  • Working with Content Shell on windows 7

    I can't run Content Shell on my system (Windows 7 x64): When i run --dump-render-tree with the stable release content_shell.exe crashes with message: [XXXX:XXXX:0522/XXXXXX:XXXXXXXXX:FATAL:content_main_runner.cc(735)] Check failed: base::i18n::InitializeICU() were X - some number. And i can't run dev build because it misses mojo_system.dll. Is there any way to fix it? Does it work on Linux or MacOS? If so i probably can run it in VM For the time being.

  • C++ variable alias - what's that exactly, and why is it better to turn if off?

    I've read the essay Surviving the Release Version. Under the "Aliasing bugs" clause it says: You can get tighter code if you tell the compiler that it can assume no aliasing.... I've also read Aliasing (computing). What exactly is a variable alias? I understand it means using a pointer to a variable is an alias, but, how/why does it affect badly, or in other words - why telling the compiler that it can assume no aliasing would get me a "tighter code"

I also tried ... nonatomic, retain @property (readwrite, assign) NSUInteger *anAmount; @synthesize anAmount; error: type of property 'anAmount' does not match type of ivar 'anAmount' Also when I release it in dealloc I get a warning.. warning: invalid receiver type 'NSUInteger'

  • Which is the recommended filesystem for VMware Server / ESXi?

    We have a couple of servers in office with VMware Server as virtualization solution. We are planning an upgrade of our infrastructure. Some servers will remain with VMware Server, but we want to migrate some others to VMware ESXi. In both cases we are making a fresh install, and I wonder if there any suggestion/guidelines regarding the host filesystem and its partitions. EDIT: We are using local storage instead of SAN/NAS external storage, because we are not sure if it is worth it to use them given our office size/requirements.

    I used to upgrade my php from 5.3.5-1ubuntu7.11 to 5.3.18-1~dotdeb.0 I got a lot of problems after the upgrading process . My localhost/phpmyadmin displaying the blank screen. apache2 show me a warning message waiting [Sun Nov 04 12:11:21 2012] [warn] The Alias directive in /etc/apache2/conf.d/phpmyadmin.conf at line 3 will probably never match because it overlaps an earlier Alias. most of CMS cant installed and show me this error Required MySQL version for CMS is 5.x but this server has: mysqlnd 5.0.8-dev the Scripts that has been already installed some of there functions doesn’t work i've googled a lot to fix this problems also i ve googled about downgrading the php version from 5.3.18 to 5.3.x but it doesn’t work with me Can you help please Many thanks

  • Is it possible to extend the ad schema in a Win2003 DC Server (NOT R2) to support DFSR?

    we're in the process of installing a brand new Windows Server 2008 Web cluster and we would like to synchronize some files between the servers. The problem is that the DC in the domain is an old Windows Server 2003 Standard (NOT R2) which apparently doesn't contain some extension to the AD schema. Is it possible to upgrade the schema without upgrading the DC servers to R2? When I try to create a Replication Group on the 2008 Server I get the following message: --------------------------- Error --------------------------- srv.XXXXXX.XX: The Active Directory Domain Services schema on domain controller activedc07.srv.XXXXXX.XX cannot be read.   • How to remove permanent map of a network drive on OS X Lion?

    Some time ago I mapped a network drive on my Snow Leopard Mac, which was upgraded to Lion. The network drive is not active any more and I receive popups all the time with the error: There was a problem connecting to the server XXXX. I have no idea how I configured at the time. I may have included a mount command, in a config file but I don't know any more where I did it. I reviewed the Preferences/Account/Login items and there is no permanent mapping there. OSX is updated as Nov 27,2011 and the issue is not related to the upgrade to Lion itself but to a misconfiguration. Any help will be greatly appreciated.     I'm using Windows 7 Home edition. When I try to create any guest account, it fails to load at login with the error: "The User Profile Service failed the logon. User profile cannot be loaded” I can login as admin and my home user with no problems. Every guest account that I create fails. I found this on a microsoft text article: This error may occur if the "Do not logon users with temporary profiles" Group Policy setting is configured. I've tried to find the Group Policy settings and cannot locate it anywhere. Some sites indicate I need to upgrade windows to access it. Is there a way to use guest accounts without upgrading?

  • Why I'm unable to use up/down arrows in my BIOS?

    My BIOS is loading and when I wanted to change anything, the up/down arrows aren't working. What might be the problem? I want to change boot options, but I'm unable to select the boot from CD option. My BIOS version is f2.3. Do I need to upgrade it? I need my system for 2 more months continuously and I'm afraid if there might be some problem upgrading. But anyway, what might be the cause for this behavior?   • Does the QPI figure matter for large scale data processing using SAS?

    At work we use SAS to manipulte large amounts of data everyday on our workstations. To give an indication of scale the largest merges we had to do was merging 24 files of 2GB in size each together into one big file (if you are familiar with SAS the files are binary compressed too!). If we upgrade our PCs to core i7 then which of Core i7 975 or Core i7 960 is better? The main difference between the two seems to be QPI. So does that affect large scale data processing such as merge datasets in SAS?

  • My.Settings not saving after install

    My application is not saving users settings after I install it. When I test my app in debug or release mode it works fine. However after compiling, linking and installing the My.Settings.Save() does not seem to be working. I can manually change a setting in the config file and the app runs accordingly. So I know it’s reading the config file on application startup. What am I doing wrong? Thanks

  • Updating a modified Prestashop

    I don't know if this is the proper forum for this; didn't really seem like a Stack Overflow question, so if I'm in the wrong here, do point me to the correct SE site. Anyway, I have a Prestashop 1.4.7.3 installed on a CentOS 5 machine. Recently, they released the 1.5.0 version, which I'd like to upgrade to. However, during developing a rather customized theme for it, I had to modify the core files (and yes I know how stupid this was, and probably even more stupid that I didn't keep a list of modified files). What's done is done though. So now I'm faced with a problem; I need to update, but I don't want it to overwrite my modifications. Is there a way (preferably in the console) to do a diff between my current installation and 1.4.7.3 vanilla, to get a list of files that are modified (sans the themes folder, perhaps)?

  • Highlight table view cells when user drags across rows

    I have a grouped table view that does not need to scroll. I'd like each cell to highlight as the user moves their finger down the screen and call didSelectRowAtIndexPath on release. This behaviour can be seen done by apple in 'settings mail add account'? I can't seem to replicate it myself, all I can get is the default, where the cell deselects as soon as the user moves their finger.

  • Using external monitor and screen resolution?

    it might sound very basic question but i need some help. I have lenovo Ideapad y560p which offers a maximum resolution of 1366px x 768px. Now i am planning to buy an external monitor, and i short listed some FULL HD resolution monitors, but it is my understanding that even with FULL HD, i would only achieve the best resolution my laptop supports. Is it true? And also if this is the case, should i really go for an HD monitor or settle down with a lower resolution version? 2ndly, is there any way to increase resolution with simple upgrade? or it is not possible without voiding the warranty??

    I recently made a website, and the buttons look like this: On(release) { gotoAndPlay ("title", 1); } My problem is, when you click the button the first time, it goes to the correct frame. but when you click it again, it goes to the next frame, or to the next scene.
