  • iPhone Core Data: request for member 'tableView' in something not a structure or union

    - by Nic Hubbard
I am trying to use CoreData to populate a UITableView. I have been using the developer "Locations" project, and I think I have everything correct. But, now I am getting the following error when I build: request for member 'tableView' in something not a structure or union Why would it be confused about tableView? I am using it many times in the methods. The errors seem to be coming from: [self.tableView insertRowsAtIndexPaths:[NSArray arrayWithObject:indexPath] withRowAnimation:UITableViewRowAnimationFade]; [self.tableView scrollToRowAtIndexPath:[NSIndexPath indexPathForRow:0 inSection:0] atScrollPosition:UITableViewScrollPositionTop animated:YES]; Ideas?

  • Android SDK - Animation prevents further events on View like OnClick()

    - by Ron
I have an ImageView which is animated via startAnimation() to slide it into the screen. It is visible and enabled in the XML. When I add a Handler for a delay or an onClick event, nothing happens. When I remove the startAnimation() everything works fine. Except the animation of course. Heres my code: balloon.setOnClickListener(new OnClickListener() { @Override public void onClick(View view) { view.setVisibility(View.GONE); } }); Animation dropDown = AnimationUtils.loadAnimation(context, R.anim.balloon_slide_down); dropDown.setStartOffset(1500); balloon.startAnimation(dropDown); Any ideas why that is? I'm quite frustrated by now... Thanks, Ron

  • Named pipe is not flushing in Python

    - by BrainCore
I have a named pipe created via the os.mkfifo() command. I have two different Python processes accessing this named pipe, process A is reading, and process B is writing. Process A uses the select function to determine when there is data available in the fifo/pipe. Despite the fact that process B flushes after each write call, process A's select function does not always return (it keeps blocking as if there is no new data). After looking into this issue extensively, I finally just programmed process B to add 5KB of garbage writes before and after my real call, and likewise process A is programmed to ignore those 5KB. Now everything works fine, and select is always returning appropriately. I came to this hack-ish solution by noticing that process A's select would return if process B were to be killed (after it was writing and flushing, it would sleep on a read pipe). Is there a problem with flush in Python for named pipes?

  • Disable CTRL+P in WPF DocumentViewer

    - by Groupal
I'm working on a new presenation component for one of our applications. I am building a Custom WPF Control that just has a DocumentViewer in it and hosting that CC in a Windows Forms application with an ElementHost. I'm using Visual Studio 2008 with C#. I have customized everything through the XAML to give it the look and feel that integrates it perfecting into our application, but one thing remains... If you press CTRL+P the print dialog still comes up. I'm at a complete loss as to how to disable that fuction. The use of this CC is to allow the users to pull up and view the Manuals for the systems installed at that site, but we don't want them to accidently print them (100s of pages). Please help, -G

  • Android app (with felix) crashes with LinearAlloc exceeded capacity

    - by user1106000
I am running apache felix and an osgi app on android (3.2). This works pretty well so far, but I have rather large chunks of data to load into the application (osgi bundles). The problem with that is that when I load the biggest chunk of data I get LinearAlloc exceeded capacity The error seems to come from LinearAlloc.c \#define DEFAULT_MAX_LENGTH (4*1024*1024) if (nextOffset > pHdr->mapLength) { /* * We don't have to abort here. We could fall back on the system * malloc(), and have our "free" call figure out what to do. Only * works if the users of these functions actually free everything * they allocate. */ LOGE("LinearAlloc exceeded capacity, last=%d\n", (int) size); dvmAbort(); } afaik in 3.2/4.x it is even 8*1024*1024, but I still hit that limit. I'm looking to get better insight on what causes this problem and how I might possibly be able to fix it. Any help would be appreciated.

  • error executing aapt, all of the sudden

    - by pjv
I know there are a lot of these topics around but none seem to help in my case, nor describe it exactly. The best similar one is aapt not found under the right path. My problem is that I can be using Eclipse for a whole evening programming, compiling and using my device, and then suddenly I get "error executing aapt" for my current project and ofcourse R.java isn't (properly) generated anymore. I then restart Eclipse and everything goes away. I'm seeing this once a day on average however. I've recently switched to amd64 and installed the latest Android-2.3 SDK and matching tools. I know that there is now a platform-tools folder that has an aapt version that should work SDK version independently. At first I had added this directory to my PATH, as instructed on the SDK website. I've also tried not adding it to my path and making a link platforms/android-9/tools so that every SDK version might use it's own old copy. Needless to say, platform-tools/aapt is there and has the right permissions, and I have been able to execute it on the command-line at any time. When I do write a faulty xml file or sorts, and appropriately get an error, I see an extra line that says "aapt: /lib32/libz.so.1: no version information available". I'm running a recent Gentoo linux system. I have everything installed to support x86 on amd64, but have re-emerged emul-linux-x86-baselibs and zlib just to be sure. The problem persists. I do see some pages that spell horror over some zlib bugs, but I'm not sure if that's related. I realize I'm not on the reference Ubuntu platform, but surely the difference cannot be that great? It might very well be a bug in aapt or the tools itself. Why would it suddenly stop working? I also experience that the ids in R.java were incorrect, namely that simple findViewById() code would give ClassCastExceptions because of mixed ids the one time, and then work perfectly without any changes bu only a "clean project", in the aftermath of a failing aapt. Finally, I've run a few commands on aapt, that don't seem to add any extra information: #ldd aapt ./aapt: /lib32/libz.so.1: no version information available (required by ./aapt) linux-gate.so.1 => (0xffffe000) librt.so.1 => /lib32/librt.so.1 (0x4f864000) libpthread.so.0 => /lib32/libpthread.so.0 (0x4f849000) libz.so.1 => /lib32/libz.so.1 (0xf7707000) libstdc++.so.6 => /usr/lib/gcc/x86_64-pc-linux-gnu/4.4.4/32/libstdc++.so.6 (0x415e9000) libm.so.6 => /lib32/libm.so.6 (0x4f876000) libgcc_s.so.1 => /lib32/libgcc_s.so.1 (0x4fac6000) libc.so.6 => /lib32/libc.so.6 (0x4f5ed000) /lib/ld-linux.so.2 (0x4f5ca000) #file aapt aapt: ELF 32-bit LSB executable, Intel 80386, version 1 (SYSV), dynamically linked (uses shared libs), for GNU/Linux 2.6.15, not stripped Can anybody tell anything wrong with my configuration? Does it smell like a bug perhaps (otherwise let's report it (again))? Update 2010-01-06: I've gained some more knowledge. When I recently was trying to export a signed apk, I ran into another error message (full details from the Eclipse error view) regarding aapt I hadn't seen before. Note here too, that I can just restart Eclipse and can export apks again without problems, at least for a little while. I'm starting to think it is related to lack of memory on my system. The message "onvoldoende geheugen beschikbaar" means "insufficient memory available". I have also been seeing insufficient memory errors in DDMS when I'm dumping HPROF files. Here is the error log (shortened): !ENTRY com.android.ide.eclipse.adt 4 0 2011-01-05 23:11:16.097 !MESSAGE Export Wizard Error !STACK 1 org.eclipse.core.runtime.CoreException: Failed to export application at com.android.ide.eclipse.adt.internal.project.ExportHelper.exportReleaseApk(Unknown Source) at com.android.ide.eclipse.adt.internal.wizards.export.ExportWizard.doExport(Unknown Source) at com.android.ide.eclipse.adt.internal.wizards.export.ExportWizard.access$0(Unknown Source) at com.android.ide.eclipse.adt.internal.wizards.export.ExportWizard$1.run(Unknown Source) at org.eclipse.jface.operation.ModalContext$ModalContextThread.run(ModalContext.java:121) Caused by: com.android.ide.eclipse.adt.internal.build.AaptExecException: Error executing aapt. • Tokenizing Twitter Posts in Lucene

    - by Amaç Herdagdelen
Hello, My question in a nutshell: Does anyone know of a TwitterAnalyzer or TwitterTokenizer for Lucene? More detailed version: I want to index a number of tweets in Lucene and keep the terms like @user or #hashtag intact. StandardTokenizer does not work because it discards the punctuation (but it does other useful stuff like keeping domain names, email addresses or recognizing acronyms). How can I have an analyzer which does everything StandardTokenizer does but does not touch terms like @user and #hashtag? My current solution is to preprocess the tweet text before feeding it into the analyzer and replace the characters by other alphanumeric strings. For example, String newText = newText.replaceAll("#", "hashtag"); newText = newText.replaceAll("@", "addresstag"); Unfortunately this method breaks legitimate email addresses but I can live with that. Does that approach make sense? Thanks in advance! Amaç

  • Linking C and CXX files in CMake

    - by vedro so snegom
    Hi I'm building C++ app with CMake. But it uses some source files in C. Here is simplified structure: trunk/CMakeLists.txt: project(myapp) set(CMAKE_CXX_FLAGS "${CMAKE_C_FLAGS} -g -Wall") add_subdirectory (src myapp) trunk/src/main.cpp: #include "smth/f.h" int main() { f(); } trunk/src/CMakeLists.txt: add_subdirectory (smth) link_directories (smth) set(APP_SRC main) add_executable (myapp ${APP_SRC}) target_link_libraries (myapp smth) trunk/src/smth/f.h: #ifndef F_H #define F_H void f(); #endif trunk/src/smth/f.c: #include "f.h" void f() {} trunk/src/smth/CMakeLists.txt set (SMTH_SRC some_cpp_file1 some_cpp_file2 f) add_library (smth STATIC ${SMTH_SRC}) The problem is: i run gmake, it compiles all the files and when it links all libs together, i get: undefined reference to `f()` in main.cpp if i rename f.c into f.cpp everything goes just fine. What's the difference and how to handle it? Thanks

  • "Go To Definition" in Visual Studio only brings up the Metadata

    - by pfunk
I am working in a Web Project in Visual Studio 2008. When I hit F12 (or right-click and select Go To Definition) Visual Studio is consistently going to the Meta data file instead of going to the source. Some Points: All the source code is C#, there is no VB.Net All the projects are in the same solution Yes, everything is a project reference (checked and double-checked) I have tried the Clean/Rebuild Solution approach (even to the point of clearing out the Temp directory, Temporary ASP.NET Files directory, etc). Has anyone else seen this behavior and/or know how to fix it?

  • Creating an admin user in Devise on Rails beta 3

    - by erskingardner
Ok, I'm probably going to feel quite dumb when someone answers this one with a simple thing that I'm missing but... here goes: I've got a brand new app on rails 3 beta and I'm using devise for the authentication. I've run all the comments and everything is working perfectly at the moment. I've created a user role and an admin role (following these instructions: http://wiki.github.com/plataformatec/devise/adding-an-admin-role) and I've registered myself as the first user but how to do I register or create an admin role user? The directions from the devise guys setup the admin role to not be registerable but I'm unsure how you're supposed to create the admin if you can't register?! Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

  • SQL CE unspecified error

    - by Ruben Trancoso
Hello, I did a project with MS SQL Server CE that when installed in the 'costumer' machine just raises an unspecified excpetion. Did some research and looks like I did everything mentioned. The dev env has sql compact 3.5 installed and sql tools for vs 2005. Using dotNet 3.5. But to make it run in de dev machine I need to add the sqlcese30, sqlceqp30, sqlceme and sqlcecompact30 dlls and its works fine. The setup project put dotNet 2.0 as dependecy and I also added the dlls but it raises the exception and I cannot see where or what it is. Its just a single 'unspecified error' message. please help :)

  • Exclude filter from certain url's

    - by Mads Mobæk
I'm using a filter in web.xml to check if a user is logged in or not: <filter> <filter-name>LoginFilter</filter-name> <filter-class>com.mycompany.LoginFilter</filter-class> </filter> <filter-mapping> <filter-name>LoginFilter</filter-name> <url-pattern>/*</url-pattern> </filter-mapping> And this works like a charm until I have a stylesheet or image I want to exclude from this filter. I know one approach is to put everything that's protected inside /privateor similar, and then set the url-pattern to: <url-pattern>/private/*</url-pattern>. The downside to this is my URLs now looking like: http://www.mycompany.com/private/mypage instead of http://www.mycompany.com/mypage. Is there another solution to this problem, that let me keep my pretty-urls?

  • Proper implementation of NLog and Prism

    - by WiT8litZ
What would be the best way to implement NLog in my Prism / CAL WPF application. This might be an amateur question, I am a bit new to the whole Prism framework :) I thought about putting the reference to the NLog dll in the Infrastructure module and make a wrapper singleton class e.g. MyLogger. My thinking was to be able to have the reference to 1 logger implementation somewhere in a central place that everything has reference to, and the only thing that I know of in Prism would be your Infrastructure module. The obvious other way is to add a reference to NLog to each module but I think that would defeat the purpose of decoupling and all of that. Any ideas would be most helpful Regards

  • Scheme early "short circuit return"?

    - by Suan
I'm trying to find out how I can do an "early return" in a scheme procedure without using a top-level if or cond like construct. (define (win b) (let* ((test (first (first b))) (result (every (lambda (i) (= (list-ref (list-ref b i) i) test)) (enumerate (length b))))) (when (and (not (= test 0)) result) test)) 0) For example, in the code above, I want win to return test if the when condition is met, otherwise return 0. However, what happens is that the procedure will always return 0, regardless of the result of the when condition. The reason I am structuring my code this way is because in this procedure I need to do numerous complex checks (multiple blocks similar to the let* in the example) and putting everything in a big cond would be very unwieldy.

  • How to execute several batch commands in sequence

    - by ptikobj
I want to create a Windows XP batch script that sequentially performs something like the following: @echo off :: build everything cd \workspace\project1 mvn clean install cd ..\project2 mvn clean install :: run some java file cd \workspace\project3 java -jar somefile.jar When I create a Batch script like this (following these instructions), I still have the problem that the script stops doing something after the first mvn clean install and then displays the command line. How can i execute all of these commands in sequence in one batch file? I don't want to refer to other files, I want to do it in one file.

  • Compass Rails 3.0 working with 'compass watch' but not without

    - by Mike Blyth
I'm trying Compass with Rails 3.0.7, just trying to get started. Using gem compass-rails. If I put my sass file in app/assets/stylesheets and run 'compass watch', everything works ok: the compiled css is put into public/stylesheets. However, if I stop 'watch' and rely on Rails to do the compilation, it does not work. Instead, the program looks at the public/stylesheets/sass folder for the input. Furthermore, if a file in that folder has the '@include "compass"' directive, I get an error that the file is not found. How do I force Rails to look in the right place -- app/assets/stylesheets?

  • Is it possible to stream a file to and from servers without holding the data in ram?

    - by Chris Denman
Hi everyone! PHP question (new to PHP after 10 years of Perl, arrggghhh!). I have a 100mb file that I want to send to another server. I have managed to read the file in and "post" it without curl (cannot use curl for this app). Everything is working fine on smaller files. However, with the larger files, PHP complains about not being able to allocate memory. Is there a way to open a file, line by line, and send it as a post ALSO line by line? This way nothing is held in ram thus preventing my errors and getting around strict limitations. Chris

  • C# UTF8 output keep encoded characters intact

    - by Stefan Pohl
Hello, i have a very simple question I can't seem to get my head around. I have a properly encoded UTF8-String I parse into a JObject with Json.NET, fiddle around with some values and write it to the commandline, keeping the encoded characters intact. Everything works great except for the keeping the encoded characters intact part. Code: var json = "{roster: [[\"Tulg\u00f4r\", 990, 1055]]}"; var j = JObject.Parse(json); for (int i = 0; i < j["roster"].Count(); i++) { j["roster"][i][1] = ((int)j["roster"][i][1]) * 3; j["roster"][i][2] = ((int)j["roster"][i][2]) * 3; } Console.WriteLine(JsonConvert.SerializeObject(j, Formatting.None)); Actual Output: {"roster":[["Tulgôr",2970,3165]]} Desired Output: {"roster":[["Tulg\u00f4r",2970,3165]]} It seems like my phrasing in Google is inappropriate since nothing useful came up. I'm sure it's something uber-easy and i will feel pretty stupid afterwards. :)

  • C# WinForms & SQL bindings

    - by vent
I have a MSSQL database with many tables and relations. I want to bind it to my C# GUI application with text- and combo-boxes. Which one is the best way to do it: (1) Everything done manually by own classes and methods: Import data to dataset or to many datatables separately, then create dictionaries to comboboxes, manually retrieve data to textboxes and create a sql statement if update action will be invoked, or, (2) Done automatically by VS: Connect my controls with BindingSource and BindingNavigator if needed. I know how to deal with the first one, but if the second way would be better, my question is — how to achieve it? I haven't dealt with automatically created databindings and I don't know how to tell to DataBinding property (Key|Value|Text) about relations and current row's ID. And what is the method to cancel/update changes in all GUI elements? I need a simple solution for this scenario. It's a quick-and-dirty academical project, which must only "work" and be as fast implemented as it can. Thanks

  • Ideas for web development practical jokes?

    - by Ellie P.
I am a web developer for a Django-based site for a student organization, and I have the opportunity to make the website temporarily absurd for a day of general campus-wide debauchery and chaos (long story, doesn't matter.) What are your best ideas for web development practical jokes (that you could never use in the real world)? For example, one idea we had was to use a client-side script to convert each character to its upside down equivalent in Unicode, si?? ??i? ?ui????os. I'm not necessarily looking for Django-specific solutions. I imagine most of these things would happen on the front-end. I am also quite aware that usability will suffer considerably--the point is to be fun for a day, and there will always be a link to the normal version of the site. Also, everything must be relatively cosmetic and easily reversible--I'm happy to swap out static CSS/JS/HTML/templates/images, and even temporarily add a django view, but no messing with the data level!

  • Problem building with MSBuild on Team Build

    - by mrwayne
Hi, I have recently upgraded from TFS2005 to TFS2010 (and sub-sequently the team build server). I used to be able to get a team build on one of my solutions to work pretty easily, (see structure below) Solution |_Web Site | |_Bin | |_Other Files |_Project 1 |_Project 2 |_Project (n) Now, i can no longer get a build working correctly as it doesnt appear to build all my projects any longer (i've had to create a new build definition). Either that, or its not building the projects in such an order that when it hits project X, that a project it depends on (Project A), has not yet been built, and as such fails. I'm just basically trying to build a web site (not web application project), with some Dependant / linked projects. Why must it be so hard! Everything builds fine in the IDE. If i even open the solution copied to the build server under the 'Sources' directory, i am able to build it fine in the IDE on that server. No such luck with MSBuild though. Thoughts?

  • Override HTML Anchor Link Target inside iFrame

    - by wag2639
We're calling an ad from an ad network to dynamically load an add using JavaScript. It makes an iFrame with the actual ad in it, a picture wrapped in an anchor tag with the target=_top. Is there a way from our page to change its target and capture the attempt to change our page. Also, our page is loaded in a C#.net program using a WebControl (I forget the actual control being used since it was a while ago). We can change the C# code but we really prefer not to because then we'd have to test it and everything. Is there a way to do this with JavaScript or JQuery?

ASP.NET MVC works ok but when it calls some methods on my WCF Service an error is thrown. The funny thing is that when I calls the same WCF Production service from the same ASP.NET MVC application hosted on my localhost it works ok. Can someone please help me with this. I think it's authorization problem which can be fixed on IIS7. Am I right?

  • Netbeans xdebug nightmare

    - by Josh Nankin
I know what you're thinking, ANOTHER netbeans xdebug post? Well, I've tried everything I've seen in other posts, and nothing seems to work. Here's my setup: OS: Ubuntu 9.10 PHP: 5.2.1 Netbeans: 6.8 The following is in my /etc/php5/apache2/php.ini zend_extension=/usr/lib/php5/20060613/xdebug.so xdebug.remote_enable=1 xdebug.remote_handler=dbgp xdebug.remote_host=localhost xdebug.remote_port=9000 xdebug.idekey="netbeans-xdebug" I've tried switching ports (I've tried 9001, 9002, and 9034 so far), using zend_extension_ts, adding additional xdebug parameters in the config file, but nothing seems to work: Netbeans still says it's waiting for connection (netbeans-xdebug) If I look at my phpinfo, I do see a whole section on xdebug, and the parameters are correct. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
