  Hello, I'm wondering the opinion of what is the best way to pass a lot of values between pages. I was thinking of either saving the values to a database, using context.Items[], or Session[]. I'm not sure about what is the best method. I'm passing probably around 40 variables.

  I am using the Jquery Validation plug-in, however i need to add a "custom rule", i have 2 date fields and i need to ensure that the end date is not less than the start date. My problem is how to pass the two fields in as elements. As i understand u set up a custom function something like this : function customValidationMethod(value, element, params){ } But can't see how i could use it with two fields, if anyone has any ideas it would be greatly appreciated.

  In C++, why does string::find return size_type and not an iterator? It would make sense because functions like string::replace or string::insert take iterators as input, so you could find some character and immediately pass the returned iterator to replace, etc. Also, std::find returns an iterator -- why is std::string::find different?

  In Visual Studio 2008 I know its possible to have one solution with two (or more) projects. Is it possible OR How is it possible for the projects to share common class files? For example - Project 1 has a log file handling class. Can Project 2 reference it? My hope is to increase code re-use and avoid two copies of the same thing that need to be maintained. I want to use Expression Encoder 3 to generate thumbnail image for video (wmv format) every 30 seconds -- e.g. for a 5 minutes video, there will be 10 thumbnails which reflects video at the time of 0 second, 30 second, 1 minute, 1 minute and 30 seconds, etc. Any reference code? thanks in advance, George

  I have a main cmake project which has a PROJECT_INCLUDE_PATH which is a cached variable. I pass this variable as a CMAKE_ARGS parameter to an external project that I add using ExternalProject_Add(). The problem is, when I change the value of the PROJECT_INCLUDE_PATH using 'make edit_cache' the external project is not reconfigured. Is there any way make the external project to be reconfigured and built automatically when the cached variable is changed in the main project?
