    What exactly are dispatch functions? I've googled them and all is vague. They seem to just be nested blocks/closures inside of other functions? Speaking from a scala/lift point..but i assume it's universal, i've seen them mentioned in ruby as well.

    I have this code setup to track image downloads throught Google Analytics. <a href="/media/37768/CC20100117m001_thumb_2000.jpg" onclick="pageTracker._trackEvent('Image', 'Download', 'file.jpg');" class="hi-res track"> Hi-Res</a> But the events don't ever show up in the GA reports. I thought maybe the the browser was following the link before the javascript was being run but setting href="#" doesn't work either. Any ideas?

  • JQuery UI Tabs - "Loading..." message

    All, I am using Jquery UI nested tabs. I was just wondering if there is any way to display an AJAX Spinner image next to the tab text, while the tab is loading. I do not want to change the tab text to "Loading..". Consider that when multiple tabs are loading at the same time or one after the other, the spinner image should be displayed next to each loading tab.. Any Suggestions? Thanks

    Very strange, I have a list of products. When a user clicks on an the image it opens up a new IE window. Firefox doesn't do this.     I want to write .bat script which works under all flavours of Windows, no matter if 32 or 64 bit. In this script I want to run some file.exe. That file is located in C:\Program Files\ under 32-bit systems or C:\Program FIles (x86)\ under x64 systems. I can write: "%ProgramFiles(x86)%\file.exe" under 64bit systems or "%ProgramFiles%\file.exe" under 32bit systems but I want to make the script universal. Is there any way of determining that path universally?

    Hi there, I have an emote selector that opens up when a user clicks an entry in a diary. The way I've worked it is that the emote selector panel lives hidden at the top of the page. When a user clicks on the 'emote control' associated with an entry, I use JavaScript to grab the HTML of the emote selector panel from the top of the page and insert it next to the entry. Using Firebug, here's what the finished product would look like in the page (snippet from element inspect).
