    I have a simple list with a listselector like so. <ListView android:id="@+id/list" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="fill_parent" android:layout_below="@+id/round" android:listSelector="#99000000" android:clickable="true" android:cacheColorHint="#00000000" android:background="#00000000"> </ListView> As you can see android:listSelector="#99000000" but the "black alpha" color is applied to the entire list, not the selected item.   • Multi valued profile property mapping to AD in Sharepoint

    I'm trying to map my skills and responsibilities profile sections to one of the custom properties in Active Directory (extensionattribute1 , 2, etc). I'm entering comma seperated values in AD and it's importing the values fine but sees the comma seperated values as one value on import. i.e. 'C#,asp.net,javascript' rather than 'C#', 'asp.net', 'Javascript'. Any ideas. I'm almost there it's just not spliting the values correctly on import. thanks in Advance

  • Problem in understanding connectSlotsByName() in pyqt???

    Hi all, I couldn't understand the connectSlotsByName() method which is predominently used by pyuic4.. As far the class is single in a PyQt file it's ok since we can use self which will be associated with a single object throughout.. But when we try to use various classes from different files the problem and the need to use connectSlotsByName() arises.. Here's what i encountered which is weird.. I created a stacked widget.. I placed my first widget on it.. It has a button called "Next ". On clicking next it hides the current widget and adds another widget which has the "click me" button.. The problem here is the click event for "click me" button in second is not captured.. It's a minimal example that i can give for my original problem.. Please help me.. This is file No.1..(which has the parent stacked widget and it's first page).   • How can I pass an array resulting from a Perl method by reference?

    Some XML::LibXML methods return arrays instead of references to arrays. Instead of doing this: $self->process_items($xml->findnodes('items/item')); I want to do something like: $self->process_items(\$xml->findnodes('items/item')); So that in process_items() I can dereference the original array instead of creating a copy: sub process_items { my ($self, $items) = @_; foreach my $item (@$items) { # do something... } } I can always store the results of findnodes() into an array and then pass the array reference to my own method, but let's say I want to try a reduced version of my code. Is that the correct syntax for passing the method results or should I use something different? Thanks! EDIT: Now suppose I want to change process_items() to process_item() so I can do stuff on a single element of the referenced array inside a loop. Something like: $self->process_item($_) for ([ $xml->findnodes('items/item') ]); This doesn't work as process_item() is executed only once because a single value is passed to the for loop (the reference to the array from findnodes()). What's the proper way of using $_ in this case?

  • Project in Eclipse contains only a .project file

    I have several projects in Perforce that I need to maintain in Eclipse. I did a successful import the first time, but I've since removed all projects from the workspace and deleted the Perforce files from the P4 folder. I'm not very familiar with Perforce so I'm not sure why whenever I try to re-import those projects, all I get is a .project file instead of the whole package. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

  • How do you get the solution directory in C# (VS 2008) in code?

    Hi, Got an annoying problem here. I've got an NHibernate/Forms application I'm working through SVN. I made some of my own controls, but when I drag and drop those (or view some form editors where I have already dragged and dropped) onto some of my other controls, Visual studio decides it needs to execute some of the code I wrote, including the part that looks for hibernate.cfg.xml. I have no idea why this is, but (sometimes!) when it executes the code during my form load or drag and drop it switches the current directory to C:\program files\vs 9.0\common7\ide, and then nhibernate throws an exception that it can't find hibernate.cfg.xml, because I'm searching for that in a relative path. Now, I don't want to hard code the location of hibernate.cfg.xml, or just copy hibernate.cfg.xml to the ide directory (which will work). I want a solution that gets the solutions directory while the current directory is common7\ide. Something that will let someone view my forms in the designer on a fresh checkout to an arbitrary directory on an arbitrary machine. And no, I'm not about to load the controls in code. I have so many controls within controls that it is a nightmare to line everything up without it. I tried a pre build event that made a file that has the solution directory in it, but of course how can I find that from common7\ide? All the projects files need to be in the solution directory because of svn. Thanks for your help guys, I've already spent a few hours fiddling with this in vain.

    I'm trying to make sure my Java application takes reasonable steps to be robust, and part of that involves shutting down gracefully. I am reading about shutdown hooks and I don't actually get how to make use of them in practice. Is there a practical example out there? Let's say I had a really simple application like this one below, which writes numbers to a file, 10 to a line, in batches of 100, and I want to make sure a given batch finishes if the program is interrupted. I get how to register a shutdown hook but I have no idea how to integrate that into my application.     I have an app that I'm accessing a remote website with NSURLConnection to run some code and then save out some XML files. I am then accessing those XML Files and parsing through them for information. The process works fine except that my User Interface isn't getting updated properly. I want to keep the user updated through my UILabel. I'm trying to update the text by using setBottomBarToUpdating:. It works the first time when I set it to "Processing Please Wait..."; however, in the connectionDidFinishLoading: it doesn't update. I'm thinking my NSURLConnection is running on a separate thread and my attempt with the dispatch_get_main_queue to update on the main thread isn't working. How can I alter my code to resolve this? Thanks! It periodically takes screenshots to the specified area. When you start recording, it hides (decativates) the window. On a Mac, when you give an application focus, any hidden windows will activate. In my class WListener (which I have confirmed to work), I have: public void windowActivated(WindowEvent e) { if(ScreenRecorder.recordingThread != null) { ScreenRecorder.recordingThread.endThread(); } } So what SHOULD happen is, the screenshot-taking thread stops when he clicks on the application. However, I must be brutally screwing something up, because when the thread is running, it won't even let the window reappear. This is my first thread, so I expected a weird problem like this. Do you know what's wrong?
