• Why isn't Chrome rendering images and fonts correctly?

  I have an Acer monitor and an Intel Pentium 4 running 12.04 32-bit. Chrome renders all webpages like this: This is how CNN should look: I have Firefox installed and its images/fonts look fine. I am new to Ubuntu and comfortable with using Terminal. Beyond that, I have no idea what I'm doing. This happened all of a sudden a few weeks ago. Any suggestions would be very much appreciated.   I want to host my own cloud storage solution, something like Dropbox but entirely dependent on my own central machine. This way things are more secure if setup correctly, and there are artificial storage limitations or pay-walls. Some thing similar to ownCloud: http://owncloud.org/ There is one important feature I want to have: the ability the stream movies in a web browser from my personal cloud to anywhere in the world. In the past I tried this with a NAS, and I mapped XBMC to the NAS via SFTP, and certain media types could stream in this manner. I've also used things like PLEX. In this case, I am looking for a single solution for personal cloud storage and movie streaming from that cloud into a web browser. Does anyone know if this can be accomplished?   Many years ago I may have bought a few sitewide links for some of my sites, these have now come back to haunt me and I need to sort them out. I've tried to contact the owners but they're too lazy to bother changing the sites so I figure it's time to disavow the links. But is there a way to disavow all of the sitewide links on the domain apart from on the index page and would this be a benefit to leave the index or would it still be seen as spammy? • Restricted Flow Of Power

  I'm sure all is fine, but i need some reassurance. Last month my company launched consolidated two of their websites into one new website. www.fdmgroup.com and www.fdmacademy.com into a newly designed www.fdmgroup.com. Because the FDM Academy grew as it's own brand we decided not to just forward the domain to the fdmgroup website, but instead just mirror the new FDM Group website and use a canonical tags to the FDM Group domain (so the link juice will pass to the FDM Group domain pages) The website has be live for nearly a month and i don't believe any power has passed down through the FDM Group website to it's deeper pages even though 301 redirects from the legacy group and academy domains in place. I am also seeing the same problem on the FDM Academy domain, but i expect to see this as every page has a canonical to the same page on the Is there anything which is restricting the flow of power through the site, or am i just being impatient.   Is there any way to run higher than 1080p resolution from a Dell XPS 15/17 or HP Pavilion laptop? Specifically, I am planning to buy Dell XPS L721X or HP Pavilion dv7-7005tx with nvidia GeForce GT 650M and connect it to the Apple LED Cinema display via mini Displayport (I don't think Thunderbolt is supported on these notebooks). The idea is to get 1080p on the notebook and 2560x1440 on the main display. Only one of the montitors is active at any time. I asked Dell and they weren't of much help.

  Is there a way to get the grouped list of events (such as in Top events) which were triggered on pages matching a regular expression? I may add the Page secondary dimension in Top events and apply the regex filter but this way I won't get a grouped list. I may apply the filter to Events - Pages report but this way the events will be grouped only inside pages whilst I need global grouping. Any suggestions?

  I'm trying to change the "quality" to low of a Hulu video so I can full screen it with out it being choppy but right click does nothing. When I right click in firefox it brings up a menu. I'm running Chrome on Ubuntu 9.10, is any one else having this issue I tried Google and got nothing back. I use chrome as my main browser, I have to switch to firefox every time I watch Hulu videos. Is there another way I cant change the quality of the flash video in Chrome?

  It seems to encode just fine so you can see the results http://www.sendspace.com/file/msku4q If you look at the mouse cursor you'll see firefox locks up once i click it. Calculator seems fine but when i try to move it, it locks up. The resource monitor and task manager are up so you can see if the CPU is being used up. It isnt as you can see <30% was used.

  I have an AdWords campaign running and want to get a list with all clicks and the exact time the click occured. And I want to do this without having a tracking code on my homepage. So it needs to be via the API (AdWords/Analytics). You might think know that this is not possible. But big Bid Management tools (e.g. Kenshoo) know all details of every click and they don't have tracking code of my website (only on the success page of my contact form). How is that possible? The dimensions in AdWords only let me group the clicks at the hour level.

  I've been trying to install the Java plugin for Chrome for a couple hours now, and I figured it was time to ask people with more experience. I can't seem to get it working. My current Java version is the 64-bit OpenJDK 1.6.0_24. I tried installing the IcedTea plugin to no avail. I have Ubuntu 12.04 64-bit installed at the moment. When I tried testing if java was enabled in Chrome, any website with a Java applet would not load (when I disabled the plugin, they loaded, but not the applet). I followed the instructions from here: http://technonstop.com/install-java-plugin-ubuntu-linux which said to create this script and run it: JAVA_HOME=/usr/lib/jvm/jdk1.7.0 MOZILLA_HOME=~/.mozilla mkdir $MOZILLA_HOME/plugins ln -s $JAVA_HOME/jre/lib/i386/libnpjp2.so $MOZILLA_HOME/plugins Note: You may need to change the value of JAVA_HOME so that it correctly points to your installation of the JDK. 64-bit users will need to change the final line to: ln -s $JAVA_HOME/jre/lib/amd64/libnpjp2.so $MOZILLA_HOME/plugins but this did not work as well. I just test it in Firefox and it's working. Still nothing for Chrome

The question's also old enough the respondent is probably referring to the old interface, though. Maybe someone could explain getting to it in the new look.
