• Skype keeps making me automatically invisible

  I keep getting made invisible automatically by skype. It doesn't even appear to happen at consistent intervals. Sometimes it doesn't happen at all, sometimes it happens every 5 seconds. I don't want this to happen, but I can't find an option to disable it. Does anybody know if it's possible to disable the invisible status or prevent the timer at all? Or is there a hotkey that I am inadvertently pressing that activates invisible mode? Thanks.

  I work in two different locations and whenever there is a power outage at one of the locations, Windows 7 detects that the system was improperly shutdown. Once the power is up, the PC powers on and Windows 7 enters REPAIR/SAFE mode where only someone physically in front of the PC can control it. (Networking is all disabled in this mode) Now before it enters REPAIR/SAFE mode, there is an option for a NORMAL boot. But the catch is that REPAIR/SAFE mode is selected by default with a 30 second timer. Once it automatically enters REPAIR/SAFE mode and if nobody is at the other location, I have no way to remote control it anymore. And then I have to drive over to the other location and reboot it and select boot into NORMAL mode. Where can I change this setting so that Windows 7 always boots into NORMAL mode no matter how many times it is improperly shut down?

• Automatic Reply Out of Hours

  Is there a way i can use a rule or "timer" of some sort to turn on out of office, or enable an auto reply for 1 mailbox (Sales mailbox) within a time period. Reason: We deal with all timezones, we only open 6am-8pm. critical sales are sometimes lost the automatic reply will involve a telephone number for emergency sales. (yes, spam i know) I wish the auto reply to come from "[email protected]" if this is possible. I've lokekd at transport rules, cant see anything. I cant word my question well enough for google to give an answer.

• Can I use applescript to click buttons in background?

  Sorry for this generic and probably bad-written question. I've never programmed in applescript, but I'm quite familiar with other coding language. I'm in the need of clicking on 2 sequential button inside the lobby of a software (when you click the first a popup appears and we should click 'ok'). However things are a little bit more complicated then this because: 1) the lobby of this program isn't in foreground: it's covered by other windows opened. (I don't have experience so I don't know if this represent a problem). 2) there should be a timer and the program should click this button at regular intervals. Is this feasible with applescript?

• Android Augmented Reality

  I'm working on my first Android Augmented Reality application. The application works pretty good if the ARActivity runs as the first class (android.intent.category.LAUNCHER) in the manifest file. But when I added a splash screen which means the ARActivity will be the second to run(android.intent.category.DEFAULT), the camera seems not detecting the marker. I believe the problem is all in the manifest file. Any suggestions ? • Design Question - how do you break the dependency between classes using an interface?

  Hello, I apologize in advance but this will be a long question. I'm stuck. I am trying to learn unit testing, C#, and design patterns - all at once. (Maybe that's my problem.) As such I am reading the Art of Unit Testing (Osherove), and Clean Code (Martin), and Head First Design Patterns (O'Reilly). I am just now beginning to understand delegates and events (which you would see if you were to troll my SO questions of recent). I still don't quite get lambdas. To contextualize all of this I have given myself a learning project I am calling goAlarms. I have an Alarm class with members you'd expect (NextAlarmTime, Name, AlarmGroup, Event Trigger etc.) I wanted the "Timer" of the alarm to be extensible so I created an IAlarmScheduler interface as follows... public interface AlarmScheduler { Dictionary<string,Alarm> AlarmList { get; } void Startup(); void Shutdown(); void AddTrigger(string triggerName, string groupName, Alarm alarm); void RemoveTrigger(string triggerName); void PauseTrigger(string triggerName); void ResumeTrigger(string triggerName); void PauseTriggerGroup(string groupName); void ResumeTriggerGroup(string groupName); void SetSnoozeTrigger(string triggerName, int duration); void SetNextOccurrence (string triggerName, DateTime nextOccurrence); } This IAlarmScheduler interface define a component that will RAISE an alarm (Trigger) which will bubble up to my Alarm class and raise the Trigger Event of the alarm itself. It is essentially the "Timer" component. I have found that the Quartz.net component is perfectly suited for this so I have created a QuartzAlarmScheduler class which implements IAlarmScheduler. All that is fine. My problem is that the Alarm class is abstract and I want to create a lot of different KINDS of alarm. For example, I already have a Heartbeat alarm (triggered every (int) interval of minutes), AppointmentAlarm (triggered on set date and time), Daily Alarm (triggered every day at X) and perhaps others. And Quartz.NET is perfectly suited to handle this. My problem is a design problem. I want to be able to instantiate an alarm of any kind without my Alarm class (or any derived classes) knowing anything about Quartz. The problem is that Quartz has awesome factories that return just the right setup for the Triggers that will be needed by my Alarm classes. So, for example, I can get a Quartz trigger by using TriggerUtils.MakeMinutelyTrigger to create a trigger for the heartbeat alarm described above. Or TriggerUtils.MakeDailyTrigger for the daily alarm. I guess I could sum it up this way. Indirectly or directly I want my alarm classes to be able to consume the TriggerUtils.Make* classes without knowing anything about them. I know that is a contradiction, but that is why I am asking the question. I thought about putting a delegate field into the alarm which would be assigned one of these Make method but by doing that I am creating a hard dependency between alarm and Quartz which I want to avoid for both unit testing purposes and design purposes. I thought of using a switch for the type in QuartzAlarmScheduler per here but I know it is bad design and I am trying to learn good design. If I may editorialize a bit. I've decided that coding (predefined) classes is easy. Design is HARD...in fact, really hard and I am really fighting feeling stupid right now. I guess I want to know if you really smart people took a while to really understand and master this stuff or should I feel stupid (as I do) because I haven't grasped it better in the couple of weeks/months I have been studying. • [BEGINNER] Javascript Pop Ups

  Hey All, My boss has asked for a page that will not change to have two timed pop ups load. I have found code and edited it to what I had thought it should do, but it is only loading the last onLoad event. I am a designer and I have helped with making webpages, but Javascript is so far outside of what I can understand. I have already learned how to use the single pop up and spent a whiiile learning the timeouts, but I cannot seem to get it to work with multiple popup functions.   Hi! A good friend recommended this site to me, it looks really useful! I'm a bit of a shameless noob at actionscript and after 3 days of tutorials and advice I've hit a brick wall. I've managed to get a sensor attached to an arduino talking to flash using something called AS3glue. it works, when i set up a trace("leaf") for the contition that the sensor reads 0, i get a printout of the word "leaf". however i want the program to make a graphic appear on the screen when this condition is met, not just trace something. I'm trying to get the program to generate a library object called "Enemy" on the screen at a random position each time the conditions are met. It's called enemy because I was following a game tutorial...actually it's a drawing of a leaf. • Mysterious dbboon folder with proxy.php file on my godaddy account

  When doing some web maintenance today, I noticed a strange new folder on my GoDaddy hosting account at the root level named "dbboon", with a single file inside, called proxy.php. It's code is listed below, and seems to be some sort of proxy function. I was kind of troubled because I didn't put it there. I googled all this to learn more, but didn't find anything, except for the proxy file happened to be also stored at pastebin.com: http://pastebin.com/PQsSPbCr I called GoDaddy and they confirmed that it belonged to them, said it was put there by their advanced hosting group for testing purposes but didn't have any more information. • Using custom DataContractResolver in WCF, to transport inheritance trees involving generics

  I've got a WCF service, in which there are operations which accept a non-generic base class as parameter. [DataContract] class Foo { ... } This base class is in turn inherited, by such generics classes as [DataContract] class Bar : Foo { ... } To get this to work, I'd previously have to register KnownTypes for the Foo class, and have these include all possible variations of Bar (such as Bar, Bar and even Bar). With the DataContractResolver in .NET 4, however, I should be able to build a resolver which properly stores (and restores) the classes. My questions: Are DataContractResolvers typically only used on the service side, and not by the client? If so, how would that be useful in this scenario? Am I wrong to write a DataContractResolver which serializes the fully qualified type name of a generic type, such as Bar1[List1[string, mscorlib], mscorlib] ? Couldn't the same DataContractResolver on the client side restore these types?

• WCF Error - Security processor was unable to find a security header in the message

  Hi, I'm getting what appears now to be a security error in my WCF Service. Originally my error was about a falted state(removed using around client proxy to clear this error), but have found more information through enabling trace. I have been unable to get my solution running after encountering this error, and even my backup copy now gets the same error. I'm not sure what has caused this to happen, I undone the changes I made (nothing relating to WCF) and still get the same error. The error from trace is - System.ServiceModel.Security.MessageSecurityException: Security processor was unable to find a security header in the message. This might be because the message is an unsecured fault or because there is a binding mismatch between the communicating parties. This can occur if the service is configured for security and the client is not using security. I'm not really sure what I need to do to fix this, any help would be usefull. The application was previously working.

  I wrote a WCF service that should transform any size of files, using the Streamed TransferMode in NetTcpBinding, and System.IO.Stream object. When running performance test, i found significant performance problem. Then I decided to test it with Buffered TransferMode and saw that performance is two times faster! Because my service should transfer big files, i just can't stay in Buffered TransferMode because of memory management overhead on big files at the server and client side together. Why is Streamed TransferMode slower than the Buffered TransferMode? What can i do to make Stremed performance better?

• Configuring WCF to Handle a Signature on a SOAP Message from an Oracle Server

  I'm trying to use WCF to consume a web service provided by a third-party's Oracle Application Server. I pass a username and password and as part of the response the web service returns a standard security tag in the header which includes a digest and signature. With my current setup, I successfully send a request to the server and the web service sends the expected response data back. However, when parsing the response WCF throws a MessageSecurityException, with an InnerException.Message of "Supporting token signatures not expected." My guess is that WCF wants me to configure it to handle the signature and verify it. I have a certificate from the third party that hosts the web service that I should be able to use to verify the signature. • Maintain cookie session in Android

  Okay, I have an android application that has a form in it, two EditText, a spinner, and a login button. The user selects the service from the spinner, types in their user name and password, and clicks login. The data is sent via POST, a response is returned, it's handled, a new webview is launched, the html string generated form the response is loaded, and I have the home page of whatever service the user selected. That's all well and good. Now, when the user clicks on a link, the login info can't be found, and the page asks the user to login again. My login session is being dropped somewhere, and I'm not certain how to pass the info from the class that controls the main part of my app to the class that just launches the webview activity. • WIF using SAML 2 protocol / Federate AD FS 2.0 with CAS

  I'am are trying to implement a Web SSO with claim based identity using WIF and AD FS 2.0 right now. Right now I have a existing ASP.Net application which delegates authentification to the AD FS 2.0 server and trust issued security tokens. That works just fine. However, in the organization there is an existing JA-SIG Central Authentication Service (CAS) server which supports the SAML 2 protocol. I would like to replace AD FS 2.0 with the existing CAS service. In my understanding WIF uses WS-Federation, which is like a container around a SAML token. Is it possible to use the plain SAML 2 protocol and it's bindings (redirect or POST)? If that is not possible (as I guess), a second alternative might be to use federate identity and federate AD FS 2.0 with CAS. Is that possible? There is little to no information about that on the web. Thanks :-)

Now I am trying to create a war of the same code and deploy it in Tomcat7 and call the api using a servlet. • Spring Security - Interactive login attempt was unsuccessful

  I've been trying to track down why Spring Security isn't creating the SPRING_SECURITY_REMEMBER_ME_COOKIE so I turned on logging for org.springframework.security.web.authentication.rememberme. At first glance, the logs make it seem like the login is failing but the login is actually successful in the sense that if I navigate to a page that requires authentication I am not redirected back to the login page. However, the logs appear to be saying the login credentials are invalid. Any ideas as to what is going on?   We are using AJAX Cascading dropdown and AutoComplete functionality with Restful WebService Services providing data. With one endpoint(non-secured) eveything was working fine, until we tried same web page with https. Our Webappplication needs to support both. Our of very few articiles/blogs on this issue I found 2 which applies to my requirements. 1. http://blog.abstractlabs.net/2009/02/ajax-wcf-services-and-httphttps.html 2. _http://www.mydotnetworld.com/post/2008/10/18/Use-a-WCF-Service-with-HTTP-and-HTTPS-in-C.aspx I followed same pattern, added 2 endpoints, assuming WCF will pickup appropriate endpoint looking at HTTP or HTTPS protocol. Worked like a charm in my dev machine(XP-IIS5) and 1 Server 2003R2(IIS6), however did work in Production server 2003-IIS6. Website in IIS is exact same(including permission etc). The error it throws - Error 500(Could not find a base address that matches scheme https for the endpoint with binding WebHttpBinding. Registered base address schemes are [http]..)   I have built my own little custom XML-RPC server, and since I'd like to keep things simple, on both server and client side (server side PHP runs, by the way), what I would like to accomplish is to create a simplest possible client in C# using WCF. Let's say that Contract for service exposed via XML-RPC is as follows. [ServiceContract] public interface IContract { [OperationContract(Action="Ping")] string Ping(); // server returns back string "Pong" [OperationContract(Action="Echo")] string Echo(string message); // server echoes back whatever message is } So, there are two example methods, one without any arguments, and another with simple string argument, both returning strings (just for sake of example).
