  • Export from EndNote into MySQL database

    I would like to export some records from an EndNote (reference management software) library and import into a MySQL database. Does anyone have any experience with this? I've tried creating custom EndNote "output styles" containing either comma-delimited values or even SQL code, but have had mixed results, either because EndNote filters out some characters (like `) or because EndNote doesn't (or I can't work out how to make it) escape text, which might include characters like ' and ". I realize this might be a bit off-topic but any help would be appreciated.

    Is there any way to import a database backup from 2005 into 2008 express edition. What I've had to resort to is doing a script the database, then import all the data through DTS.   • sql server 2005 delphi 2010 dbexpress connection

    Trying to connect to sql server 2005 with delphi 2010 gives me the following error after configuring the data explorer: 'Borland.data.TDBXError: DBX Error: Driver could not be properly initialized. Client library may be missing, not installed properly, or wrong version' I know there is a work around by installing the sql server 2008 management studio. But this is not a good solution if all pc's need to have this prerequirement. Anybody know a better solution/fix. Delphi 6 does not have this problem.

    Hi, I'm having a few problems with some Objective-C and would appreciate some pointers. So I have a class MapFileGroup which has the following simple interface (There are other member variables but they aren't important): @interface MapFileGroup : NSObject { NSMutableArray *mapArray; } @property (nonatomic, retain) NSMutableArray *mapArray; mapArray is @synthesize'd in the .m file. It has an init method: -(MapFileGroup*) init { self = [super init]; if (self) { mapArray = [NSMutableArray arrayWithCapacity: 10]; } return self; } It also has a method for adding a custom object to the array: -(BOOL) addMapFile:(MapFile*) mapfile { if (mapfile == nil) return NO; mapArray addObject:mapfile]; return YES; } The problem I get comes when I want to use this class - obviously due to a misunderstanding of memory management on my part. It calls a method within fullGroupOfMaps, but if I step into the class from that line while debugging, all fullGroupOfMaps's objects are now out of scope and I get a crash. So apologies for the long question and big amount of code, but I guess my main question it: How should I handle a class with an NSMutableArray as an instance variable? What is the proper way of creating objects to be added to the class so that they don't get freed before I'm done with them? Many thanks

    I may be asking the impossible but let me set out my problem: I have a menu in a MasterPage which uses images and mouseover mouseout events for design purposes. On one of the menu options I need to display a set of sub menus options on the click of the parent menu item. The menu item itself also needs to navigate to a specified url. I was originally trying to use an AJAX accordion panel but as I only had one accordion panel it was always displaying the sub menu items and was not collapsing. I have also tried putting the options in a div and setting the display via javascript. This worked but then was overwritten once the page navigation postback occurred.     Is it possible to change a column type in a MS SQL 2008 database from varchar(255) to varchar(MAX) without having to drop the table and recreate? SQL Server Management Studio throws me an error every time I try to do it using that - but to save myself a headache would be nice to know if I can change the type without having to DROP and CREATE. I previously had a problem with a 6.0 upgrade (which is why the old pool is still on 5.6), but rolled back rather than fix it as it wasn't urgent at the time. This install is on new machines - I tried 6.1 first (which had the same problems) then 6.2 was released the second day after installation so I switched to that. I've not installed anything from the Dell resource DVD at this point - I can't find anything saying I should, and everything I have read suggests it shouldn't be necessary. I can ping all 8 ip addresses from both servers in the pool, iscsiadm -m discovery works fine, I can login to the nodes and iscsiadm reports the sessions active correctly. I've added the required sections to multipath.conf, but multipath -ll reports DM multipath kernel driver not loaded immediately after boot.   • Recommendation for high performance WPF Chart

    We're working on a WPF-based desktop application that charts financial markets information (candlestick charts, overlayed indicator curves, volume, etc). The charts are displayed in real-time with responses to market ticks being shown in real-time (updating one to two times per second is probably a reasonable display refresh policy). We've been looking for a software package (commercial is fine by us) that has the capability of displaying these charts. Additionally, we'd like to have an approach that can render the initial amount of data in a reasonable timeframe (give or take 100-200ms from the time we hand the data over to a complete render on screen). Also we view multiple charts (5-10) simultaneously so a solution that chews up 50% of my CPU to display one chart really isn't going to work well. Has anyone had any good experiences with charting controls. We've had to hand roll the last few charts we've done and I'd prefer not to do it again. Solutions that can make use of the GPU to minimize CPU utilization would be nice as well.

    I have a project under my management. It has the following structure: $/Code/MainSolution $/Code/Branches I want to branch the MainSolution in $/Code/Branches So I do it, (it works perfectly), I set a working folder for that project and do a 'get latest'. But when I open that solution in Visual Studio 2005 it identifies every file as new (+ sign in front of the file) and when I commit it it goes to $/Data/NameOfTheBranch Why does it do that? Why doesn't it follow MY rules?

    I am writing silverlight 3 application which is working on network. It works like client-server application. There is WinForm application for server and silverlight application for client. I use TcpListener on server and connect from client to it with Socket. In local network it works fine, but when I try to use it from internet it don't connect to server. I use IP address on local network and real IP with port number for internet version. I get error 10013 AccessDenied. Port number is correct and access policy exist. Firewall is turned of. Where is the problem? Thanks.

    Hello: I am designing a report that will be used in local mode (an RDLC file) in a Winform app. I have a custom assembly with a static class that has some functions that I want to use inside of the report (as expressions). I have found all sorts of help for doing this with RDL reports, but I'm running into a permissions problem with my RDLC report. I get the following error at runtime: "The report references the code module (my module), which is not a trusted assembly". I know that this is some kind of a code security issue, but I'm not sure what to do to fix it. The documentation that I have seen online is aimed at RDL reports, and it instructs me to edit a SQL Server-specific policy file. I'm using RDLC, so there is no sql server involved. What do I need to do to acquire the appropriate permissions?

This is part of a Content Management System and the users do not know how to resize photos, so I need to resize the image to a set size after it is uploaded. How can this be done with PHP? Please note, I am not trying to accomplish a thumbnail image, simply scale the one that is uploaded.

  • UIWebView NSURLRequestReloadIgnoringLocalCacheData doesn't actually ignore the cache

    I have a UIWebView object, with the caching-policy specified as: NSURLRequestReloadIgnoringLocalCacheData This should ignore whatever objects are in the local cache and retrieve the latest version of a site from the web. However, after the first load of the site (10 resources in trace, HTTP GET), all subsequent loads of the site only retrieve a small subset of resources (3 resources in trace, HTTP GET). The images all appear to be loaded from some local source. I have confirmed that my sharedURLCache has a memory usage of 0 bytes, and a disk usage of 0 bytes. Whenever the process starts fresh, the full version of the site is retrieved again. This leads me to believe that these resources are being stored in an in-memory cache, but as I noted before, [[NSURLCache sharedURLCache] currentMemoryUsage] returns 0. I have also tried explicitly removing the cached response for my request, but this seems to have no effect. What gives?
