  • Fluent NHibernate beginner problem: How to convert single column data to custom class?

    - by Stefan Ahlm
I am very new to Fluent NHibernate and I have a problem that I cant find the answer to. I have a string column in my database table, containing a mathematical expression i.e: "10 + 15 * 5". On my entity I have a property that I call Formula and this returns a class that contains the mathematical "formula" (not as a string). I beleive this post http://intellect.dk/post/Implementing-custom-types-in-nHibernate.aspx explains how to solve it for NHibernate. But I am not sure... How do I get this working with Fluent NHibernate?

  • Align text box with menu control using boostrap

    - by JamesMitLondon
    Hi I am using bootstrap styles for my asp.net web application and I have a menu control at the top. I want to insert a search text box at the top right on the same line as the menu bar. Following is my code. Can anyone please suggest how to do this? Thanks. <div id="container"> <form runat="server" class="navbar-form navbar-left" role="search"> <div class = "navbar"> <div class="navbar-inner"> <div class="container"> <!-- .btn-navbar is used as the toggle for collapsed navbar content --> <a class="btn btn-navbar" data-target=".nav-collapse" data-toggle="collapse"> <span class="icon-bar"></span> <span class="icon-bar"></span> <span class="icon-bar"></span> </a> <div class="nav-collapse collapse"> <asp:Menu ID="NavigationMenu" runat="server" EnableViewState="false" IncludeStyleBlock="false" Orientation="Horizontal" CssClass="navbar" StaticMenuStyle-CssClass="nav" StaticSelectedStyle-CssClass="active" DynamicMenuStyle-CssClass="dropdown-menu"> <Items> <asp:MenuItem Text="Home" ToolTip="Home"></asp:MenuItem> <asp:MenuItem Text="Music" ToolTip="Music"> <asp:MenuItem Text="Classical" ToolTip="Classical" /> <asp:MenuItem Text="Rock" ToolTip="Rock" /> <asp:MenuItem Text="Jazz" ToolTip="Jazz" /> </asp:MenuItem> <asp:MenuItem Text="Movies" ToolTip="Movies"> <asp:MenuItem Text="Action" ToolTip="Action" /> <asp:MenuItem Text="Drama" ToolTip="Drama" /> <asp:MenuItem Text="Musical" ToolTip="Musical" /> </asp:MenuItem> </Items> </asp:Menu> <div class="form-group"> <input type="text" class="form-control" placeholder="Search"/> <button type="submit" class="btn btn-default">Submit</button> </div> </div> </div> </div> </div> </form> </div> `

  • How do I link gtk library more easily with cmake in windows?

    - by Runner
    I'm now doing it in a very ugly way by manually including all the required path(the gtk bundle is at D:/Tools/gtk+-bundle_2.20.0-20100406_win32): include_directories(D:/Tools/gtk+-bundle_2.20.0-20100406_win32/include/gtk-2.0 D:/Tools/gtk+-bundle_2.20.0-20100406_win32/include/glib-2.0 D:/Tools/gtk+-bundle_2.20.0-20100406_win32/lib/glib-2.0/include D:/Tools/gtk+-bundle_2.20.0-20100406_win32/include/cairo D:/Tools/gtk+-bundle_2.20.0-20100406_win32/include/pango-1.0 D:/Tools/gtk+-bundle_2.20.0-20100406_win32/lib/gtk-2.0/include D:/Tools/gtk+-bundle_2.20.0-20100406_win32/include/atk-1.0) link_directories(D:/Tools/gtk+-bundle_2.20.0-20100406_win32/lib) target_link_libraries(MyProgram gtk-win32-2.0.lib)

  • My list item's child label elements disappear in IE on accordion menu opening

    - by Scott B
I've got an app that's working pretty flawlessly in Chrome and FF, however, when I view it in IE, all is well until I click on a header element to activate it (jQuery accordion). What happens then is that I see a brief flash where the content is there, then suddenly the entire left column disappears. This column is generated by a floated label element with a class of ".left" as seen below... <ul class="menu collapsible"> <li class='expand sectionTitle'><a href='#'>General Settings</a> <ul class='acitem'> <li class="section"> <label class="left">This item if floated left with a defined width of 190px via css. This is the item that's disappearing after a brief display</label> <input class="input" value="input element here" /> <label class="description">This element has a margin-left:212px; set via css in order to be positioned to the right of the label element as if in an adjacent table cell. When I add a max-width property to this element, it disappears in IE too!</label> </li> </ul> </li> </ul> As you can see from the comments in the code above (for the two label elements) the description label disappears once I set a max-width on it (I don't have a max-width on the left label element, but it disappears nonetheless). The initial view of this UL menu is fine (note the expand class declaration which makes this part of the accordion open at startup. Its not until I click the "General Settings" to toggle it closed, then back open, that the left class elements disappear (and only in IE)

  • Jquery counting elements by class what is the best way to implement this?

    - by 133794m3r
Ok what i'm trying to do is to count all of the elements in the current page with the same class and then i'm going to use it to be added onto a name for a input form. Basically i'm allowing users to click on an and then by doing so add another one for more of the same type of items. But i can't think of a way to count all of these simply with jquery/javascript. I was going to then name the item as something like name="whatever(total+1)", if anyone has a simple way to do this i'd be extremely grateful as javascript isn't exactly my native tongue and stack overflow usually has a ton of great answers and a great community so i'm hoping my query will not go unheard.

  • "Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoSuchMethodError Do i miss library in the installed JDk?

Hello every body I was using the JDK very well writing the code then i use "javac" to compile it then "java" to run it But Recently when i write a code and compile it then if i try to run it this exception appears to me "Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoSuchMethodError " at first i thought there is something wrong in my code , i searched in the internet for a solving for this problem but i didn't find anything may help me Then i try to run the "HelloWorld" example i made it before, it runs i copied the code and pasted it in another file and changed the name to "HelloWorld2" and compile it by "javac" and tried to run it by "java" the same exception appears i was surprised why? it is the same code then i used the "javap" which decompile the code with both i found this difference in the first one (the old one) "public static void main(java.lang.String[])"; but in the second (the new one) "public static void main(String[])"; without java.lang then i compiled the old one which works and runs by "javac" and when i try to run it, it didn't run and give me the same exception i tried with some of my old codes it run and when i compile it by "javac" it doesn't work I searched to find a solution to this problem and i found nothing

  • Can I have the gcc linker create a static libary?

    - by Lucas Meijer
I have a library consisting of some 300 c++ files. The program that consumes the library does not want to dynamically link to it. (For various reasons, but the best one is that some of the supported platforms do not support dynamic linking) Then I use g++ and ar to create a static library (.a), this file contains all symbols of all those files, including ones that the library doesn't want to export. I suspect linking the consuming program with this library takes an unnecessary long time, as all the .o files inside the .a still need to have their references resolved, and the linker has more symbols to process. When creating a dynamic library (.dylib / .so) you can actually use a linker, which can resolve all intra-lib symbols, and export only those that the library wants to export. The result however can only be "linked" into the consuming program at runtime. I would like to somehow get the benefits of dynamic linking, but use a static library. If my google searches are correct in thinking this is indeed not possible, I would love to understand why this is not possible, as it seems like something that many c and c++ programs could benefit from.

  • Want to add a new property to a class, can I use anonymous functions for this?

    - by Blankman
I have 2 Lists: List<User> List<UserStats> So I want to add a property Count to User (it doesn't have one now, and I can't change the implementation at this point). For a web service call, that returns json, I want to modify the User object. Basically I add the Users to a collection. So I want to add a modified user class (via anonymous functions?) to the collection before I serialize it to json. So something like: loop users { user.Count = userstats[user.ID].Count; list.Add(user); } is this possible? how?

  • How to perform a join with CodeIgniter's Active Record class on a multicolumn key?

    - by Scott Southworth
I've been able to make this code work using CodeIgniter's db->query as follows: $sql = 'SELECT mapping_code,zone_name,installation_name FROM installations, appearances, zones WHERE installations.installation_id = zones.installation_fk_id AND appearances.installation_fk_id = installations.installation_id AND appearances.zone_fk_id = zones.zone_id AND appearances.barcode = ? '; return $this->db->query($sql,array($barcode)); The 'appearances' table throws a 'not unique table' error if I try this using the Active Record class. I need to join appearances on both the zone and installations tables. How can I do this?

  • How can I inherit an ASP.NET MVC controller and change only the view?

    - by AlexWalker
I have a controller that's inheriting from a base controller, and I'm wondering how I can utilize all of the logic from the base controller, but return a different view than the base controller uses. The base controller populates a model object and passes that model object to its view, but I'm not sure how I can access that model object in the child controller so that I can pass it to the child controller's view.

  • Using new to allocate an array of class elements with an overloaded constructor in C++.

    - by GordoN
As an example say I have a class foo that does not have a default constructor but one that looks like this foo:foo(int _varA,int _varB) { m_VarA = _varA; m_VarB = _varB; } How would I allocate an array of these. I seem to remember trying somthing like this unsuccessfully. foo* MyArray = new foo[100](25,14). I don't think this will work either. foo* MyArray = new foo[100](25,14) Can this be done? I typically do this by writing the default constructor using some preset values for _varA and _varB. Then adding a function to reset _varA and _varB for each element but that will not work for this case. Thanks for the help.

  • Given an instance of a Ruby object, how do I get its metaclass?

    - by Stanislaus Wernstrom
Normally, I might get the metaclass for a particular instance of a Ruby object with something like this: class C def metaclass class << self; self; end end end # This is this instance's metaclass. C.new.metaclass => #<Class:#<C:0x01234567>> # Successive invocations will have different metaclasses, # since they're different instances. C.new.metaclass => #<Class:#<C:0x01233...>> C.new.metaclass => #<Class:#<C:0x01232...>> C.new.metaclass => #<Class:#<C:0x01231...>> Let's say I just want to know the metaclass of an arbitrary object instance obj of an arbitrary class, and I don't want to define a metaclass (or similar) method on the class of obj. Is there a way to do that?

  • Derived template override return type of member function C++

    - by Ruud v A
I am writing matrix classes. Take a look at this definition: template <typename T, unsigned int dimension_x, unsigned int dimension_y> class generic_matrix { ... generic_matrix<T, dimension_x - 1, dimension_y - 1> minor(unsigned int x, unsigned int y) const { ... } ... } template <typename T, unsigned int dimension> class generic_square_matrix : public generic_matrix<T, dimension, dimension> { ... generic_square_matrix(const generic_matrix<T, dimension, dimension>& other) { ... } ... void foo(); } The generic_square_matrix class provides additional functions like matrix multiplication. Doing this is no problem: generic_square_matrix<T, 4> m = generic_matrix<T, 4, 4>(); It is possible to assign any square matrix to M, even though the type is not generic_square_matrix, due to the constructor. This is possible because the data does not change across children, only the supported functions. This is also possible: generic_square_matrix<T, 4> m = generic_square_matrix<T, 5>().minor(1,1); Same conversion applies here. But now comes the problem: generic_square_matrix<T, 4>().minor(1,1).foo(); //problem, foo is not in generic_matrix<T, 3, 3> To solve this I would like generic_square_matrix::minor to return a generic_square_matrix instead of a generic_matrix. The only possible way to do this, I think is to use template specialisation. But since a specialisation is basically treated like a separate class, I have to redefine all functions. I cannot call the function of the non-specialised class as you would do with a derived class, so I have to copy the entire function. This is not a very nice generic-programming solution, and a lot of work. C++ almost has a solution for my problem: a virtual function of a derived class, can return a pointer or reference to a different class than the base class returns, if this class is derived from the class that the base class returns. generic_square_matrix is derived from generic_matrix, but the function does not return a pointer nor reference, so this doesn't apply here. Is there a solution to this problem (possibly involving an entirely other structure; my only requirements are that the dimensions are a template parameter and that square matrices can have additional functionality). Thanks in advance, Ruud

  • Pass existing model into AJAX PartialViewResult

I'm guessing I somehow have to pass the model to the SHIPDEL Action first. I couldn't find an @Ajax.ActionLink overload that would allow this. public PartialViewResult SHIPDEL() { return PartialView("AJAX_Views/_ShipDel", this.ModelState); } In the _ShipDel Partial View I need to expose the CmpAdrsSh properties so the model validates in the POST Action. The model is empty at this point. How do I pass the existing vM model into the _ShipDel partial view? Thank you,

  • What are the differences between these three patterns of "class" definitions in JavaScript?

    - by user1889765
    Are there any important/subtle/significant differences under the hood when choosing to use one of these three patterns over the others? And, are there any differences between the three when "instantiated" via Object.create() vs the new operator? The pattern that CoffeeScript uses when translating "class" definitions: Animal = (function() { function Animal(name) { this.name = name; } Animal.prototype.move = function(meters) { return alert(this.name + (" moved " + meters + "m.")); }; return Animal; })(); and The pattern that Knockout seems to promote: var DifferentAnimal = function(name){ var self = this; self.name = name; self.move = function(meters){ return alert(this.name + (" moved " + meters + "m.")); }; return {name:self.name, move:self.move}; } and The pattern that Backbone promotes: var OneMoreAnimal= ClassThatAlreadyExists.extend({ name:'', move:function(){} });

  • How do I enforce the order of qmake library dependencies?

    - by James Oltmans
I'm getting a lot of errors because qmake is improperly ordering the boost libraries I'm using. Here's what .pro file looks like QT += core gui TARGET = MyTarget TEMPLATE = app CONFIG += no_keywords \ link_pkgconfig SOURCES += file1.cpp \ file2.cpp \ file3.cpp PKGCONFIG += my_package \ sqlite3 LIBS += -lsqlite3 \ -lboost_signals \ -lboost_date_time HEADERS += file1.h\ file2.h\ file3.h FORMS += mainwindow.ui RESOURCES += Resources/resources.qrc This produces the following command: g++ -Wl,-O1 -o MyTarget file1.o file2.o file3.o moc_mainwindow.o -L/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu -lboost_signals -lboost_date_time -L/usr/local/lib -lmylib1 -lmylib2 -lsqlite3 -lQtGui -lQtCore Note: mylib1 and mylib2 are statically compiled by another project, placed in /usr/local/lib with an appropriate pkg-config .pc file pointing there. The .pro file references them via my_package in PKGCONFIG. The problem is not with pkg-config's output but with Qt's ordering. Here's the .pc file: prefix=/usr/local exec_prefix=${prefix} libdir=${exec_prefix}/lib includedir=${prefix}/include Name: my_package Description: My component package Version: 0.1 URL: http://example.com Libs: -L${libdir} -lmylib1 -lmylib2 Cflags: -I${includedir}/my_package/ The linking stage fails spectacularly as mylib1 and mylib2 come up with a lot of undefined references to boost libraries that both the app and mylib1 and mylib2 are using. We have another build method using scons and it properly orders things for the linker. It's build command order is below. g++ -o MyTarget file1.o file2.o file3.o moc_mainwindow.o -L/usr/local/lib -lmylib1 -lmylib2 -lsqlite3 -lboost_signals -lboost_date_time -lQtGui -lQtCore Note that the principle difference is the order of the boost libs. Scons puts them at the end just before QtGui and QtCore while qmake puts them first. The other differences in the compile commands are unimportant as I have hand modified the qmake produced make file and the simple reordering fixed the problem. So my question is, how do I enforce the right order in my .pro file despite what qmake thinks they should be?

  • Can I have two names for the same variable?

    - by Roman
The short version of the question: I do: x = y. Then I change x, and y is unchanged. What I want is to "bind" x and y in such a way that I change y whenever I change x. The extended version (with some details): I wrote a class ("first" class) which generates objects of another class ("second" class). In more details, every object of the second class has a name as a unique identifier. I call a static method of the first class with a name of the object from the second class. The first class checks if such an object was already generated (if it is present in the static HashMap of the first class). If it is already there, it is returned. If it is not yet there, it is created, added to the HashMap and returned. And then I have the following problem. At some stage of my program, I take an object with a specific name from the HashMap of the first class. I do something with this object (for example change values of some fields). But the object in the HashMap does not see these changes! So, in fact, I do not "take" an object from the HashMap, I "create a copy" of this object and this is what I would like to avoid.

  • static constants return instance of specific class in Flex?

    - by Sang
So here's what I mean. Let's say I have a class ErrorMessages which holds all my error messages as static constants. So I could access them like ErrorMessages.PASSWORD_INVALID or ErrorMessage.PASSWORD_TOO_SHORT. I want to know if it is possible to have separate classes that hold subset of these constants and access them like ErrorMessages.PASSWORD.INVALID or ErrorMessages.PASSWORD.TOO_SHORT, etc. This way I can more structured static structure and makes it much easier to use autocomplete. I tried few different ways and couldn't figure out if this was possible..
