  • Including SQL Server Express with Application

    - by Echilon
I'm bundling an application for distribution and SQL Server is a prequisite so we're including SQL Server Express. What's the easiest way to include SQL server in a point and click installer? In the past I've used NSIS, but it was always flaky when installing the .NET Framework, so .NET, SQL Server and our app seems like an impossible task. It needs to be free, which probably cuts back my options a tad. Any suggestions or recommendations?

  • PHP Grid recommendations needed

    - by Jack
Hi, I'm looking for a grid control for a project I'm doing in PHP. Are there any good recommendations? Ideally, it'd have a data entry mode similar to a spreadsheet where the user could enter row after row after row, without needing to click new/edit buttons or links.

  • UML interface: URL iframe integration

    - by Bernd
I have two applications, A and B, both with a web-based user interface. Both applications are integrated via an URL iframe mechanism. A user can click on a link in application A and then gets the UI of application B as am iframe in application A. Now, since both applications have an interface between each other (do they?): Who provides the interface and who requires the interface, in the UML sense? What is the main information flow on this interface?

  • Clickin issue in Flash and XML

    - by ortho
Hi, I have the php backend that displays an xml page with data for flash consuming. Flash takes it and creates a textfields dynamicaly based on this information. I have a few items in menu on top and when I click one of them, data is taken from php and everything is displayed in scroll in flash. The problem is that if I click too fast between menu items, then I get buggy layout. The text (only the text) is becoming part of the layout and is displayed no metter what item in menu I am currently in and only refreshing the page helps. var myXML:XML = new XML(); myXML.ignoreWhite=true; myXML.load("/getBud1.php"); myXML.onLoad = function(success){ if (success){ var myNode = this.firstChild.childNodes; var myTxt:Array = Array(0); for (var i:Number = 0; i<myNode.length; i++) { myTxt[i] = "text"+i+"content"; createTextField(myTxt[i],i+1,65,3.5,150, 20); var pole = eval(myTxt[i]); pole.embedFonts = true; var styl:TextFormat = new TextFormat(); styl.font = "ArialFont"; pole.setNewTextFormat(styl); pole.text = String(myNode[i].childNodes[1].firstChild.nodeValue); pole.wordWrap = true; pole.autoSize = "left"; if(i > 0) { var a:Number = eval(myTxt[i-1])._height + eval(myTxt[i-1])._y + 3; pole._y = a; } attachMovie("kropka2", "test"+i+"th", i+1000); eval("test"+i+"th")._y = pole._y + 5; eval("test"+i+"th")._x = 52; } } } I tried to load the info and ceate text fields from top frame and then refer to correct place by instance names string e.g. budData.dataHolder.holder.createTextField , but then when I change between items in menu the text dissapears completely untill I refresh the page. Please help

  • Should I put my flex project within my rails project?

    - by ChrisInCambo
I have a project with a RESTful Rails back-end and a Flex front-end, first time for me with this combo and I debating whether to put the flex source somewhere inside the Rails folder hierarchy or making it a separate project. If I do so which folder would be most suitable /lib? Also be doing one click deployment with Vlad which can also compile the flex app and dump it in the public folder. Or does anyone have any good reasons why the flex project shouldn't reside within the Rails folder hierarchy? Cheers

  • jquery get last ID of dynamic div

    - by Pjack
    Couldn't find an answer, but Im trying to get the last ID of the last div that was created on the page. The code I'm using doesn't seem to work using .last(). My syntax is probably wrong but I can't get it to show the ID. jQuery(document).ready(function() {jQuery("a.more_posts").live('click', function(event){ jQuery("div[id^='statuscontainer_']").last(); var id = parseInt(this.id.replace("statuscontainer_", "")); alert(id); }); });

  • Drawing text to <canvas> with @font-face does not work at the first time

    - by lemonedo
Hi all, First try the test case please: http://lemon-factory.net/test/font-face-and-canvas.html I'm not good at English, so I made the test case to be self-explanatory. On the first click to the DRAW button, it will not draw text, or will draw with an incorrect typeface instead of the specified "PressStart", according to your browser. After then it works as expected. At the first time the text does not appear correctly in all browsers I've tested (Firefox, Google Chrome, Safari, Opera). Is it the standard behavior or something? Thank you. PS: Following is the code of the test case <!DOCTYPE html> <html> <head> <meta http-equiv=Content-Type content="text/html;charset=utf-8"> <title>@font-face and canvas</title> <style> @font-face { font-family: 'PressStart'; src: url('http://lemon-factory.net/css/fonts/prstart.ttf'); } canvas, pre { border: 1px solid #666; } pre { float: left; margin: .5em; padding: .5em; } </style> </head> <body> <div> <canvas id=canvas width=250 height=250> Your browser does not support the CANVAS element. Try the latest Firefox, Google Chrome, Safari or Opera. </canvas> <button>DRAW</button> </div> <pre id=style></pre> <pre id=script></pre> <script src="http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.4.2/jquery.min.js"></script> <script> var canvas = document.getElementById('canvas') var ctx = canvas.getContext('2d') var x = 30 var y = 10 function draw() { ctx.font = '12px PressStart' ctx.fillStyle = '#000' ctx.fillText('Hello, world!', x, y += 20) ctx.fillRect(x - 20, y - 10, 10, 10) } $('button').click(draw) $('pre#style').text($('style').text()) $('pre#script').text($('script').text()) </script> </body> </html>

  • Problem in setting margin of an object on a grid

    - by Pawan
Hi, I have inherited a class, say CstateUI from Control class. I am creating an object of CstateUI and setting up the margin of the object. For values of margin I take mouse click points from e.getPosition(grid). The problem is the first object is correctly rendered but on subsequent objects margin is not getting set accurately. Can you please tell me what possibly might be going wrong? Thanks in advance!
