  • Adding different objects to array, but only one object repeating

    I have a small piece of PHP code that goes through valid values and fetches information about them. It then pushes it to an array. For some reason, I'm only getting the last item of $row, repeated several times. When I try to print_r at #1 in the code, the expected values are outputted. However, at the end of the loop, or outside of it, when I try to print_r($ipArray), I'm only getting the last value repeated multiple times. Any help would be much appreciated! while($row = mysqli_fetch_array($getIpQuery, MYSQLI_NUM)){ for($x=0;$x<count($row);$x++) { $getIpInfo = mysqli_query($dbcon, "SELECT * FROM ipInfo WHERE address='$row[$x]'"); $retrievedInfo = mysqli_fetch_array($getIpInfo, MYSQLI_NUM); $ipInfo->ipAddress = $retrievedInfo[0]; $ipInfo->portNum = $retrievedInfo[1]; print_r($ipInfo); //#1: Works perfectly fine. array_push($ipArray,$ipInfo); } } print_r($ipArray); //this is where I'm getting an output of only the last element of `$row`.     Sorry for such a simple question but I can't seem to find the solution. I am trying to fade in and out some divs. Divs have an ID of "div1", "div2", "div3". My code is: var Divs = new Array("div1", "div2", "div3"); I want to fade out one div and then fade in the next on top of it. I have a setinterval that runs every 5 seconds and checked it works. Inside it is this code: $(Divs[1]).fadeOut(1000); $(Divs[2]).fadeIn(1000); However nothing happens when the timer method is ran. Any ideas?

    I'm writing a code for a voting machine that will allow user to read in custom XML ballots and then vote on them, however in the current build I have in QtCreator, I don't see an easy way to edit buttons in my GUI directly. In the code snippet below, I assign an element to pull out the names and type of ballot being read in, but I need to append a label on the GUI as well as change buttons to the names of candidates read in.   • PHP string enocding issue - Extra characters appearing

    I see extra characters like â showing because of encoding issues as I found out here - HTML encoding issues - "Â" character showing up instead of "&nbsp;" I understand that if I set the browser meta encoding to UTF-8, these will not affect anything but I need to strip these extra characters from the database for other purposes. For eg. : Text: ↑ should be become Text: ? But if I run it through utf8_decode it gives me Text: ??? For every other occurrence of the â character, it converts properly to a blank space. Any help will be appreciated.

    Hello, So I have a very simple class that has a method called getThumbUrl() but when I try calling this method on an instance I get Notice: Undefined property: FlickrImage::$getFullUrl But it is clearly there. Here is the code of the function: public function getThumbUrl() { return "http://farm".$this->_farm.".static.flickr.com/".$this->_server."/".$this->_id."_".$this->_secret."_t.jpg"; } And here is where it fails: foreach($photos as $photo) { echo "<img src='$photo->getFullUrl()' />"; } Any ideas?     Hello. I have a file input in a form that uploads a mp3 file, but I´d like to detect conflictive characters to my system in the filename, like ! @ or any other. All codes I´ve found replace these characters, but I just want to detect them to alert the user. I think it will be easy with regular expressions, but I dont know about them. I´m using jquery/javascript. Thanks in advance for your help Edit to improve my problem description: I´m working in a CodeIgniter application that allows user to upload mp3 files to the server. I use jQuery to manage client side forms. The CI upload class converts spaces in the file name to underscores and everything works. But testing the application I uploaded a mp3 file with a (!) in the name, and I got troubles with it. I just want to insert a javascript conditional before the file is uploaded to evaluate if the user´s filename contains a (!) (or any other I´d like to add later) to ask for the file to be renamed if it does.

    I was working on a program today and hit this strange bug. I had a UIButton with an action assigned. The action was something like: -(void) someaction:(id) e { if ([e tag]==SOMETAG) { //dostuff } } What confuses me is that when I first wrote it, the if line was if (e.tag==SOMETAG) XCode refused to compile it, saying error: request for member 'tag' in 'e', which is of non-class type 'objc_object*' but I thought the two were equivalent. So under what circumstances are they not the same?
