  • Minimal way to render Wiki Syntax (for example MoinMoin Wiki)

    I enjoy using to Wikis to document all kind of stuff (recently I used MoinMoin, so I am used to that syntax). No I am looking for a more light weight solution, for documents were setting up a moinmoin server is to much hassle. What is the "easiest" way to render a .txt file in Wiki syntax. (for example by displaying it, or converting it to HTML). it should work on Linux, but the more platform in-dependent, the better. Maybe there is even a Javascript based solution?

  • How to use Scala in IntelliJ IDEA (or: why is it so difficult to get a working IDE for Scala)?

    I recently gave up trying to use Scala in Eclipse (basic stuff like completion doesn't work). So now I'm trying IntelliJ. I'm not getting very far. I've been able to edit programs (within syntax highlighting and completion... yay!). But I'm unable to run even the simplest "Hello World". This was the original error: Scala signature Predef has wrong version Expected 5.0 found: 4.1 in .... scala-library.jar But that was yesterday with IDEA 9.0.1. See below... UPDATE Today I uninstalled IntelliJ 9.0.1, and installed 9.0.2 Early Availability, with the 4/14 stable version of the Scala plug-in. Then I setup a project from scratch through the wizards: new project from scratch JDK is 1.6.u20 accept the default (project) instead of global / module accept the download of Scala 2.8.0beta1 into project's lib folder Created a new class: object hello { def main(args: Array[String]) { println("hello: " + args); } } For my efforts, I now have a brand-new error :) Here it is: Scalac internal error: class java.lang.ClassNotFoundException [java.net.URLClassLoader$1.run(URLClassLoader.java:202), java.security.AccessController.doPrivileged(Native Method), java.net.URLClassLoader.findClass(URLClassLoader.java:190), java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClass(ClassLoader.java:307), sun.misc.Launcher$AppClassLoader.loadClass(Launcher.java:301), java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClass(ClassLoader.java:248), java.lang.Class.forName0(Native Method), java.lang.Class.forName(Class.java:169), org.jetbrains.plugins.scala.compiler.rt.ScalacRunner.main(ScalacRunner.java:72)] FINAL UPDATE I uninstalled 9.0.2 EA and reinstalled 9.0.1, but this time went with the 2.7.3 version of Scala rather than the default 2.7.6, because 2.7.3 is the one shown in the screen-shots at the IntelliJ website (I guess the screen-shots prove that they actually tested this version!). Now everything works!!!

    To do DataBinding of the Document in a WPF RichtextBox, I saw 2 Solutions so far, which are to derive from the RichtextBox and add a DependencyProperty, and also the solution with a "proxy". Neither the first or the second are satisfactory. Does somebody know another solution, or instead, a commercial RTF control which is capable of DataBinding? The normal Textbox ist not an alternative, since we need text formating. Any idea?

In result, I want to get the following functionality: In any html/css file, where defined css class/id, I perform clicking on it, and it dispatches me to appropriate css file which responsables for that style, or shows me in left side panel it styles.   • Installing drivers from NSIS installer in x64 system.

    I want to add support for x64 OSes to my NSIS installer. One of the installer's task is drivers installation. I've written a special NSIS plugin for this task. This plugin uses Driver Install Frameworks API (DIFxAPI) to install drivers. The problem is that this API does not work in WOW64. Is there any way to create x64 installer application with NSIS? Has anybody solved similar problem with NSIS? P.S.: The only solution I can see now is to run another application from the installer. This will be x64 executable that installs drivers. But this way seems somewhat harder to me. So, I'm interested in other solutions.

  • Help with Kohana 3 and a CRON

    I've set up a CRON to call a URL in Kohana 3. php /home/user/public_html/index.php my/route/in/bootstrap.php It seems to access the URL fine. However, I have received this error (send back in an email that my host sends per CRON) Undefined index: HTTP_HOST SYSPATH/classes/kohana/url.php [ 40 ] Source of url.php Which is in a Kohana system file. Is this because the CRON job is not sending HTTP headers? How would I fix this and get it to work (hopefully without hacking the core files). Or am I doing the CRON wrong?

  • Problem with DOMPDF and Kohana 3

    I have used DOMPDF many times before successfully, however outside of the Kohana Framework. I created a module for DOMPDF and called it simply pdf. Here is it's code. class Pdf { private $domPdfInstance; public function __construct($html) { if ( ! class_exists('DOMPDF', FALSE)) { // Load DOMPDF require Kohana::find_file('vendor', 'dompdf/dompdf_config.inc'); } $this->domPdfInstance = new DOMPDF; $this->domPdfInstance->load_html($html); } public function render() { $this->domPdfInstance->render(); return $this; } public function stream($filename) { if (pathinfo($filename, PATHINFO_EXTENSION) !== 'pdf') { $filename .= '.pdf'; } $this->domPdfInstance->stream($filename); return $this; } } For some reason, any PDF I generate using this results in it being corrupt (not opening under Mac OS X's Preview app at least). I have even tried this basic HTML <html> <head> <title>PDF</title> </head> <body> please work </body> </html> Is this a known problem? I have not touched anything in dompdf_config.inc.php except uncomment out the error reporting levels so they now read error_reporting(E_STRICT | E_ALL); PHP is not reporting any errors.     Hello everyone, I'm using soft deleting in my database (IsDeleted field). I'm actively using LoadWith and AssociateWith methods to retrieve and filter nested records. The thing is AssociateWith only works with properties that represents a one-to-many relationship. DataLoadOptions loadOptions = new DataLoadOptions(); loadOption.LoadWith<User>(u = > u.Roles); loadOption.AssociateWith<User>(u = > u.Roles.Where(r = > !r.IsDeleted)); In the example above I just say: I want to retrieve users with related (undeleted) roles. But when I have one-to-one relationship, e.g. Document - File (the only one file is related to the document) I'm unable to filter soft deleted object: DataLoadOptions loadOptions = new DataLoadOptions(); loadOption.LoadWith<Document>(d = > d.File); // the next certainly won't work loadOption.AssociateWith<File>(f = > !f.IsDeleted); So, is there any idea how to filter records within the one-to-one relationship?   • Why is LOGON_USER Server Variable is blank on New Windows / New Tab?

    We are noticing some very strange behavior on an installation of a .NET2-based webapp on Server 2008. Our app uses "old school" Integrated Windows Authentication and simply reads the LOGIN_USER server variable from the request collection. There's a good reason for this, but that's somewhat irrelevant to the question, since the underlying WindowsAuthentication code from ASP.NET does the same thing. Anyway... When you enter the URL in the browser, it loads up just fine and displays the username (from LOGIN_USER) no problem. When you click on a link within the web app, it loads the page just fine and authenticates without any problems. When you "hard refresh" (Ctrl-F5) it also works just fine. However, when you click "open in a new window" or "open in a new tab", the LOGON_USER variable is blank Any ideas? Am I missing some IIS7 setting somewhere? Tested clients are Windows 7 with IE8 or Windows XP with IE6.

I have several background daemons that carry out different responsibilities. Each one is interested in different jobs in the queue from the Rails app. Is this possible using Delayed::Job, or perhaps there is a different job queue that better fits this task?
