• Error: Multilib version problems found

  What causes this error? Error: Multilib version problems found. This often means that the root cause is something else and multilib version checking is just pointing out that there is a problem. Eg.: 1. You have an upgrade for glibc which is missing some dependency that another package requires. Yum is trying to solve this by installing an older version of glibc of the different architecture. If you exclude the bad architecture yum will tell you what the root cause is (which package requires what). You can try redoing the upgrade with --exclude glibc.otherarch ... this should give you an error message showing the root cause of the problem. 2. You have multiple architectures of glibc installed, but yum can only see an upgrade for one of those arcitectures. If you don't want/need both architectures anymore then you can remove the one with the missing update and everything will work. 3. You have duplicate versions of glibc installed already. You can use "yum check" to get yum show these errors. ...you can also use --setopt=protected_multilib=false to remove this checking, however this is almost never the correct thing to do as something else is very likely to go wrong (often causing much more problems).   The following is what appears in my error_log: [Sat Nov 17 23:13:14 2012] [warn] mod_wsgi: Compiled for Python/2.7.3. [Sat Nov 17 23:13:14 2012] [warn] mod_wsgi: Runtime using Python/2.7.2. If I check my $PATH variable and even in /etc/paths, /usr/local/bin (which contains Python 2.7.3) comes before /usr/bin (which contains Python 2.7.2). Is there some other path that I'm missing out on? How can I get the correct runtime to be used?

For example: How do I replace 9, 17 and 124 with 5 in the below data? I have millions of rows though of data and Excel doesn't have enough rows for all the data. • Selecting one row when working with typed datasets.

  I have a typed dataset in my project. I would like to populate a datatable with only one row instead of all rows. The selected row must be based on the primary key column. I know I could modify the designer code to achive this functionality however if I change the code in the designer I risk that this code will be deleted when I update my datased via designer in the future. So I wanted to alter the SelectCommand not in the designer but just before firing up MyTypedTableAdapter.Fill method. The strange thing is that the designer does not create a SelectCommand! It creates all other commands but not this one. If it would create SelectCommand I could alter it in this way: this.operatorzyTableAdapter.Adapter.SelectCommand.CommandText += " WHERE MyColumn = 1"; It is far from perfection but atleast I would not have to modify the designer's work. unfortunately as I said earlier the SelectCommand is not created. I could bear with this but this._commandCollection is private so I cannot acces it outside of the class code. I don't know how to get into this collection without changing the designer's code. The idea which I have is to expose the collection via partial class definition. However I want to introduce many typed datasets and I really don't want to create partial class definition for each of them. Please note that I am using .NET 3.5. I've found this article about accessing private properties but it concerns .NET 4.0 Thanks for your time.

Note, if you just do apply(foo, 1, function(x) list(c(x[1], x[2]))), it returns a list within a list, which I'm hoping to avoid.

• Reading UDP Packets

  I am having some trouble dissecting a UDP packet. I am receiving the packets and storing the data and sender-address in variables 'data' and 'addr' with: data,addr = UDPSock.recvfrom(buf) This parses the data as a string, that I am now unable to turn into bytes. I know the structure of the datagram packet which is a total of 28 bytes, and that the data I am trying to get out is in bytes 17:28. I have tried doing this: mybytes = data[16:19] print struct.unpack('>I', mybytes) --> struct.error: unpack str size does not match format And this: response = (0, 0, data[16], data[17], 6) bytes = array('B', response[:-1]) print struct.unpack('>I', bytes) --> TypeError: Type not compatible with array type And this: print "\nData byte 17:", str.encode(data[17]) --> UnicodeEncodeError: 'ascii' codec can't encode character u'\xff' in position 0: ordinal not in range(128) And I am not sure what to try next. • nested columns in compass/sass

  I've been studying compass and while it is a fun thing to play with and use, one thing bothers me(besides being unable to add padding as it wrecks the grid), how do I nest columns? I want to be able to do what blueprint does: nest containers like say, I have a 24-column page divided in two(17 and 7 columns). In the right part of that page(the one with 7 columns), I want to divided some elements into two(2 and 5 columns). I tried this: #main +container #main-content +column(17) +box-padding(17, 10px) :margin :right 0 #sidebar +column(7, true) +box-padding(7, 10px) That's the code for the main page. The sidebar contains a list with some labels and input fields li +container :margin :bottom 5px label +column(2) :margin :right 0 input +column(5, true) It kinda works, but inspecting the li in firebug shows that it's width is actually 950px as opposed to be just 270px since it is just 7 columns. I tried googling about nested columns but I can't seem to find any example in compass. I've also tried the wiki and the documentation to no avail.

• How can I generate a random human-readable colour from a seed? C#

  Got a logfile, and it has all kinds of text in it. Currently it is just displayed as one colour, and each entry says something like: Log from section 1: Some text here Log from section 125: Some text here Log from section 17: Some text here Log from section 1: Some text here Log from section 125: Some text here Log from section 1: Some text here Log from section 17: Some text here Now the logfile is displayed in real time, and it would be nice to make the rows with the same section number the same colour. However there could be potentially quite a large range of numbers. What I want to do is create a method that will take a number, and randomly generate a unique colour. The colour must be readable against a black background though, so #000000 is no good, nor is #101010 or anything too dark to read. Ideally two similar numbers will not produce the same colour because in the above examples, the numbers 1 and 17 might be too similar, and some numbers might be in the 10,000 range. Any ideas on this?

  I'm getting a KeyError for an out of dictionary key, even though I know the key IS in fact in the dictionary. • How to do a for loop in windows command line?

  I was wondering if this was possible? I'm not familiar with using windows command line, but I have to use it for a project I'm working on. I have a a number of files, for which I need to perform a function for each. I'm used to working with python, but obviously this is a bit different, so I was hoping for some help. Basically I need the for loop to iterate through 17 files in a folder, perform a function on each (that's using the specific software I have here for the project) and then that will output a file with a unique name (the function normally requires me to state the output file name) I would suck it up and just do it by hand for each of the 17, but basically it's creating a database of a file, and then comparing it to each of the 17. It needs to be iterated through several hundred times though. Using a for loop could save me days of work. Suggestions?

  I have been working with web sites and web development for a long time and as a result I am able to build and launch complex websites (social network, dating site, stackoverflow, etc.) in little time (1-3 weeks). Problem is: I know very little about CSS, page layout, photoshop and graphic design. Of course I know HTML but when it comes to putting together something that looks good I am horrible. I just don't have the artistic skills. I wanted to launch some websites without any silly or naive intent to take over the world. Just for fun and to improve the portfolio. How do you guys recommend that I approach this problem of "finding this right partner" with the same mindset? Where should I look for this person? I have no idea... :(
