  • jQuery Tablesorter - disabled headers show progress bar, sortEnd never triggered

    I'm combining Tablesorter's 'disable headers using options' function and the 'trigger sortStart / sortEnd' function and have run into an issue.     I have a GTK/C++ program that uses a ScrolledWindow. I keep adding data to the list within the scrolled window, and I want to keep focus on the newest item. But I also want to allow the user to scroll through the data to select an old item. Is there a way to do this? I've looked everywhere but can't find anything.

  • scroll bar problems in java Layered Panes

    Hi all, I've been trying to build this small java app. I find it very difficult to design UI in java, tasks that seem very simple become complicated and all these strange misbehaviors occur. In my app I've created a JLayeredPane which contains two layers. One on top on the other, They both contain scrollbars. Here's an explanation of the two layers: Layer 1: A very big image inside something similar to a scrollpane. The image is scrollable. Layer 2: A graphics2d object, this object draws an image. Once the image reaches a certain length, the layer gets a scrollpane that advances with the drawing with time. I'd like to connect both layers. I want layer two to update the scrollbar on layer 1. Meaning that once it reaches a certain length, both scrollbars will advance together. When I try doing that, the two scroll bars really do advance, but ( ! ) this strange flickering occurs. I don't understand what is the reason for the flickering. Is there any other way to implement this in a simple manner? I must have the second layer on top of the first one (drawing on top of image) since I cannot open a special post for thanking the wonderful people of this forum, I'll do it here. Thank you, you are great help. I hope this problem is solvable as well.

    (WPF) We have been asked to build a little window that pops up when the app is busy (instead of or in addition to a wait cursor). We put a textblock in the window, and a ProgressBar with IsIndeterminate = true. We call show on the little window, and then start up our long-running process, calling Close on the little window when we are through. However, during the long-running process, the ProgressBar does not show any activity, and the little window shows (Not Responding) in its title. Is this even possible? A better idea?

I have been doing some google research and have found some online deciphers for Hex yet they all seem to struggle decrypting the code.   • clicking title bar fires onBlur in Opera

    Hi, I am closing a popup window at 'onBlur' defined for 'BODY' of an ASP webpage, so when a user clicks outside the popup the popup closes. I want the popup to be moveable around the screen and it works for all browsers but Opera. In Opera the 'onBlur' event is fired when clicking the titlebar of the popup - this seems weird for me, as the titlebar is a part of the popup window, right? What can I do about it?

  • Background image fixed with vertical scroll bar in IE

    I have a gradient background image in my web application, it goes from dark at the top to light at the bottom. In Firefox, this image is handled properly, where upon scrolling vertically downwards on the page, the dark top section disappears. However, when I started testing in IE (I'm using IE8) the background image stays fixed behind the screen as you vertically scroll, meaning the dark top section of the background image is always rendered at the top of the IE view. I've set the background tag to have scroll defined, which from all I can tell should solve the problem, but IE is not happy. background: #470077 url( images/abcd.jpg ) repeat-x scroll; I made sure to be clearing the data in IE in case it was caching the old style before I added scroll. I have a dynamic dns account where I map my machine's dynamic IP to an address say, www.xxx.yyy.net Now, I have registered another short domain name say www.yyy.com, the hosting is on a linux server. Now, my machine is actually a webserver which runs .net website which can be accessed by www.xxx.yyy.net I need my homepage(index.php) in my www.yyy.com handle the redirection in a way that the pages to be loaded from www.xxx.yyy.net/.... but it should look in the browser as www.yyy.com/... Is there any way to do this using php?

  • Is it possible to add a menu bar to a widget

    I would like to add a QMenuBar to a window of my program (not the QMainWindow) from QtDesigner but I do not see this widget in there and it seems the only way to do this from designer is to use a mainwindow. Would I absolutely need to create this QMenu by hand coding it. Is it possible/ok to instead add a QMainwindow that is actually declared inside my main QMainwindow?

  • Dijit.Dialog irregular behaviour of scroll bar making dialog box unusable

    I use a dojo dialog box to display a page pulled from another part of the site. The page being pulled is long - so I use the css attribute: `max-height: 900px; overflow:auto; To make sure it displays properly. For a long page, it displays a 900px high dialog box with a scrollbar down the right hand side side. However the scrollbar is going up to the dialog box title and shifting the close box icon to the left. In internet explorer, when a user moves his mouse of the close box icon, it moves to the right. If you move your mouse to the right it moves left - so you can never actually close the box with the icon. I have tried clearing the content in the box and just making it very long, and the same thing still happens. Oddly enough, if I close the window using esc and click pull up the dialog box again, it works fine. Any way I can make it display properly at all times. I am using Dojo version 1.3. Thanks

  • Windows batch file reference to own directory

    Suppose you have C:\foo\foo.bat which needs to refer to C:\foo\foo.txt. It may be run from a different directory, but needs to get foo.txt from its own directory, not the current directory. Obviously this could be done by putting the full path C:\foo\foo.txt in foo.bat. The twist is, it's not known at the time of writing the batch file, where it will end up residing on the user's machine, so what the batch file actually needs to do is get foo.txt from the directory where I live, wherever that happens to be. (In a C program I'd use argv[0] but that doesn't seem to work with batch files.) Is there a way to do this?
