  I'm teaching kids to program using Ruby and the gaming framework Gosu/Chingu. For the sounds for their games I've been showing them http://www.bfxr.net/. It's decent, but the samples are limited and some of them are pretty cheap (check the explosion, it's like an explosion on a commodore 64 game). Is there an easy resource kids can get the sounds they want? I'm happy to pay some kind of educational license for it.

As I understand it, Oracle retired the Operating System Distributor's License for Java, meaning that Canonical could no longer include the JDK or JRE in their APT repositories. This means no more "sudo apt-get install sun-java-whatever". I just following this tutorial and other question but i still can't installing the jdk. How do I install oracle jdk 7 on ubuntu server 12.04? Thanks in advance

• Can I use wikipedia/commons images to create a logo for my program?

  I'm not perfectly clear on the implications of the GFDL for reusing pictures in this manner. Would adding a reference in the git's root folder's README suffice, or would that clutter every use of the logo, as you would have to attribute all original contributors on every single usage (like, e.g. presentations, flyers, websites, ...)? The software itself qualifies as FOSS, although it doesn't have a GNU* license.

  I installed wine by doing sudo apt-get install wine and everything went well, but at the end I get the "Package configuration" and the title says configuring ttf-mscorefonts-installer and they talk about 1.GRANT OF LICENSE 2.DESCRIPITION OF OTHER GRANTS AND LIMITATIONS 3.COPYRIGHT U.S. GOVERNMENT RESTRICTED RIGHTS The problem is that they give all this at the end but there is nothing I can do say "ok" or something, thus, wine is not installed.
