  • Moving from NHibernate to FluentNHibernate: assembly error (related to versions)?

    Not sure where to start, but I had gotten the most recent version of NHibernate, successfully mapped the most simple of business objects, etc. When trying to move to FluentNHibernate and do the same thing, I got this error message on build: "System.IO.FileLoadException: Could not load file or assembly 'NHibernate, Version=2.1.0.4000, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=aa95f207798dfdb4' or one of its dependencies. The located assembly's manifest definition does not match the assembly reference." Background: I'm new to Hibernate, NHibernate, and FluentNHibernate -- but not to .NET, C#, etc. Database I have a database table called Category: (PK) CategoryID (type: int), unique, auto-incrementing UserID (type: uniqueidentifier) -- given the value of the user Guid in ASP.NET database Title (type: varchar(50) -- the title of the category Components involved: I have a SessionProviderClass which creates the mapping to the database I have a Category class which has all the virtual methods for FluentNHibernate to override I have a CategoryMap : ClassMap class, which does the fluent mappings for the entity I have a CategoryRepository class that contains the method to add & save the category I have the TestCatAdd.aspx file which uses the CategoryRepository class. Would be happy to post code for any of those, but I'm not sure that it's necessary, as I think the issue is that somewhere there's a version conflict between what FluentNHibernate references and the NHibernate I have installed from before.     I have my mind firmly wrapped around relational databases and how to code efficiently against them. Most of my experience is with MySQL and SQL. I like many of the things I'm hearing about document-based databases, especially when someone in a recent podcast mentioned huge performance benefits. So, if I'm going to go down that road, what are some of the mental steps I must take to shift from SQL to NO-SQL? If it makes any difference in your answer, I'm a C# developer primarily (today, anyhow). I'm used to ORM's like EF and Linq to SQL. Before ORMs, I rolled my own objects with generics and datareaders. Maybe that matters, maybe it doesn't. Here are some more specific: How do I need to think about joins? How will I query without a SELECT statement? What happens to my existing stored objects when I add a property in my code? (feel free to add questions of your own here)

  • Calculate angle of moving ball after collision with angled or sloped wall that is a 2D line segment

    If you have a "ball" inside a 2D polygon, made up of say, 4 line segments that act as bounding walls, how do you calculate the angle of the ball after the collision with the irregularly sloped wall? I know how to make the ball bounce if the wall is horizontal, vertical, or at a 45 degree angle. I also have my code setup to detect a collision with the wall. I've read about dot products and normals, but I cannot figure out how to implement these in Java / Android. I'm completely stumped and feel like I've looked up everything 10 pages deep in Google 10 times now. I'm burned out trying to figure this out, I hope someone can help.

    sqlInsertFrame.Parameters.AddWithValue("@UserName", txtUserName.txt); Given the code above...if I don't have any need to move the textbox data into a string variable, is it best to read the data directly from the control? In terms of performance, it would seem smartest to not create any unnecessary variables which use up memory if its not needed. Or is this a situation where its technically true but doesn't yield any real world results due to the size of the data in question. Forgive me, I know this is a very basic question.

    ArgumentError: Error #2025: The supplied DisplayObject must be a child of the caller. so i have a function that runs in state1 and has a while(myCanvas.rawChildren.numChildren > 0){ myCanvas.rawChildren.removeChildAt(0); } //this code is definitely the problem.... I can move to state2, but when I move back to state1 i get the error. why? the function that has the while loop only runs when something is searched in state1, so why is it running when coming back from state2?

    Moving to Ubuntu, I have a drive with windows on a drive with Ubuntu on and 4 other ntfs drives 3 of which appear fine in both systems 1 however works fine on windows (single ntfs volume) but in ubuntu the drive appears in the disk utility with a 134 MB "Microsoft Reserved Partition" and 2TB of Unallocated Space Is there any way I can get this volume to be mounted in Ubuntu with out moving all my data to another driver formatting and then moving back again

    I have a ASP.NET MVC 2 project. I've created edmx file on the class library project that holds the model. now I've created another class library called it shared and moved the edmx file over there. resolved some issues, everything compiles, but it can't find the connection string resource at runtime. I've copied the ConnectionString part of the Web.Config to the main file, the old class library app.config file and the new class library app.config file. Still get this error: System.Data.MetadataException: Unable to load the specified metadata resource. Line 75: public myProjdb() : base("name=myProjdb", "MyProjdb") in the MyProj.Designer.cs file. Any Idea how to resolve this issue ? Is there a better way to store connection string data ?

  • Android: Find coordinates of a certain point X meters from my location moving towards the point I am

    Hi Guys, I'm constructing a geolocation based application and I'm trying to figure out a way to make my application realise when a user is facing the direction of the given location (a particular long / lat co-ord). I've done some Googling and checked the SDK but can't really find anything for such a thing. Does anyone know of a way? Example. Point A = Phones current location. Point B = A's orientation in relation to true north + 45 + max distance towards the direction your facing, Point C = A's orientation in relation to true north - 45 + max distance towards the direction your facing. So now you have a triangle constructed. pretty schweet huh? yeah.. I think so.. So now that I have my fancy Triangle I use something called Barycentric Coordinates ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Barycentric_coordinates_(mathematics) ). This will allow me to test another point and see if it is in the triangle. If it is, it means we're facing it AND it's within the right distance. So it should be displayed on screen. If I'm facing 90 degrees from true north. The distance it travels should be that direction. 90 degrees from true north. It should not be 100 degrees or something from true north! But the problem is I haven't yet figured out how I make the device realise it must go "out" the direction it is facing.

    I currently have a scrolling anchor animation that also adds an "active" class to the anchor clicked. I am trying to fit the below function into the works as well, so say someone clicks "anchor 1", "anchor 1" will get an active class and the window will scroll to that location. But, after that has happened say the user manually begins scrolling down the page, I want the active class to be removed. The problem I am running up against now is that the below function will happen when the scrolling animation from a clicked anchor is taking place.     Suppose I have two points, Point1 and Point2. At any given time, these points may be at different positions-- they are not necessarily static. Point1 is located at some position at time t, and its position is defined by the continuous functions x1(t) and y1(t) giving the x and y coordinates at time t. These functions are not differentiable, they are constructed piecewise from line segments. Point2 is the same, with x2(t) and y2(t), each function having the same properties. The obstacles that might prevent visibility are simple (and immobile) polygons. How can I find the boundary points for visibility? i.e. there are two kinds of boundaries: where the points become visible, and become invisible. For a become-visible boundary i, there exists some ?0, such that for any real number a, a ? (i-?, i) , Point1 and Point2 are not visible (i.e. the line segment that connects (x1(a), y1(a)) to (x2(a), y2(x)) crosses some obstacles). For b ? (i, i+?) they are visible. And it is the other way around for becomes-invisible. But can I find such a precise boundary, and if so, how?

  • how to get powershell to look for files in other folders when moving items?

Looks like I am missing something here because when I run the script, it is only looking for .zqx files in current directory and not all the drives. Please note that the ( dir $paths..) part is returning the list of .zqx files promptly.     Hi, I have a few hundred phpld sites to move - each has its own cpanel, ( & the target may have shared cpanel) & I can do a full cpanel backup on the original server, but I don't have whm on the current host - the backups are fairly easy to organize but the installs so far means picking through files & setting up db's & mail etc by hand - I am thinking there ought to be an easier ie scripted way to do the installs or at least some parts - can anyone please suggest something ?     I have my code setup so that I have an movieclip in my library a class called "block" being duplicated multiple times and added into an array like this: function makeblock(e:Event){ newblock=new block; newblock.x=10; newblock.y=10; addChild(newblock); myarray[counter] = newblock; //adds a newblock object into array counter += 1; } Then I have a loop with a currently primitive way of handling my problem: stage.addEventListener(Event.ENTER_FRAME, gameloop); function gameloop(evt:Event):void { if (moveright==true){ myarray[0].x += 5; myarray[1].x += 5; myarray[2].x += 5 -(and so on)- My question is how can I change x,y values every frame for new objects duplicated into the array, along with the previous ones that were added. Of course with a more elegant way than writing it out myself... array[0].x += 5, array[1], array[2], array[3] etc. Ideally I would like this to go up to 500 or more array objects for one array so obviously I don't want to be writing it out individually haha, I also need it to be consistent with performance so using a for loop or something to loop through the whole array and move each x += 5 wouldn't work would it? Anyway, if anyone has any ideas that'd be great!
